Ugh... yea, this story hits a little too close to home for my liking... way too many similarities for my comfort. in my case, i'm ed, my lover is roy, and his girlfriend is riza. the fact that roy loves them both is exactly like my situation, as is the fact that he technically is publically associated with Riza. Roy's personality is also dead center with the guy i'm talking about... it's a little scary... all of that is identical to how things are for me (for almost two years now). differences = i'm female, i haven't actually slept with him, and we would never, EVER confront his girlfriend.... EVER.... it's a weird situation, and it looks completely horrible to outsiders, but i'm not a bad person, really. i just got mixed up in a very strange (and at times exhausting) relationship and fell for someone that i shouldn't have... i think that's why i'll be keeping up with this fic. it's well written and i can really identify with what's going on. (heh, maybe it'll help me figure my life out in the end ^^;) anyway, thanks for writing it! i hope you continue to update.

Smart move on Roy's part to make Ed go with him! Ed would have indeed run off if given half a chance. I'm not sure what Ed was thinking by packing his bag and running off like this. He's not a kid anymore. He's a major general now and has very serious commitments to the army that I'm sure can not be ignored simply because Ed is having a personal crisis. But all that's beside the point. The two of them, Roy and Ed, confronting Riza is a really good idea. "Confronting" sounds harsh but Riza has made things difficult so now it's time to call her on the carpet for it. Since the three of them are involved in this mess, it's only right that the three of them find a way to work it out - vent all their frustrations, say whatever they want to say (yell, scream, cry, whatever), and go from there. No one is going to come away from this unscathed. Personally, I think Riza should leave. Staying together "for the sake of the child" is a crock. Leaving is not an easy thing to do but the child's well-being needs to come first. Clearly neither Roy nor Riza is happy and that is no environment to raise a child in. It's better for the child to be raised in a divorced home rather than one filled with bickering and fighting. The child, poor unfortunate victim here, will pick up on these things no matter how hard the parents try to hide it.

I was rather surprised at Winry's reaction. She told Ed to find another mechanic?? In spite of how much she prizes her automail, she still let her emotions get the better of her and would rather someone else work on it all because Ed told her the truth? wow....

I don't think Al would react as badly as Ed thinks he will. I can't see Al calling Ed terrible names and flat out rejecting him but I can see Al needing some time to himself. He's just realized that he doesn't really know his own brother and probably has no idea what to do next. At least now Al knows why his constant pestering wasn't getting him any results! :) It wouldn't surprise me if Al moved out, which may not be a bad thing. Ed blurting out that he is gay was the perfect slap in the face wake-up call that was needed to illustrate that they (Ed and Al) each need to live their own lives. They're grown-ups now. Neither has the right to tell the other what to do anymore. Al can now go out and find himself a girlfriend and find his own happiness and Ed can hopefully have his Roy and, thus, find his happiness! :)

Good grief. I've rambled all over the place and probably not made a tad of sense! :D Update soon please! :)
