Lots more to think about. But it was attempted rape for Duo, believe me just because there was blood doesn't mean he was penetrated. I was hoping to avoid going into too much detail but if he was taken to a doctor they would have found tears from attempted penetration which were horribly painful for him. In a court of law it would have been ruled as an attempt because he wasn't penetrated even though there was blood from what Quin tried to do. He wasn't raped. So Duo shakes it off-the trauma from the attempts-better than Solo because it didn't actually happen.

I'll work on Solo but different people handle rape (any form) and trauma differently. For Solo it was worse and even though they are brothers, close in age and all, they are not the same person. Solo doesn't tell Duo everything and tried to bottle it up, bury it deep down inside because he thought there was something wrong with him hence a part of the inner turmoil he's dealing with. Back on L2 he was almost always the one being protected by their Mom and Duo. So he never really noticed until Heero kissed Duo and shows an active interest in Duo, that his brother was attractive to other people. He feels need to do something in return, protect his brother even if he goes about in the wrong way. He also redirects the bottled up mess of emotions he has onto someone else. ^_^

I'll work on Solo. Age doesn't determine mentality in some cases and people mature in varying degrees and levels... i digress... I know it's hard to believe that a 13 yr-old is doing better than most adults do with this kind of stuff, but I'll reveal something else to you like you said he's too mature and hence he's self-destructing. *laughs at self* gahh let me stop there before I write a paper...

^_^ I will go back and read what I wrote. I appreciate you guys telling me this, since I wrote it it's hard for me to see the things you see. Also keep in mind that the tone of this story is mostly focused around Duo then branches out so it's 'happy school' tone is inpart a reflection of the fact that Duo doesn't know what his brother's going through and has his own issues that he masks feverently with his smile. I hope to make that clearer in the chapters to come. Another part is that they are in a school environment that's peaceful, where academic stresses, success are more dominant and the people are ignorant of a lot of the things that happen on L2 and more convertly in Sanc.

Oh and feel free to yell at if I don't ^_^ and hinted at Duo's issues a little in Chapter 12.

Sorry dear, but I think you need to go back and read your own story. I have to agree with that person who commented previously about Duo not going through emotional rollercoasters like Solo. You're saying that Quin attempted rape of Duo, yet in that particularly scene described blood and such which leads the reader to assume penetration of some sort. Penetration of some sort is rape, not attempted rape. Also, the attempted rape of Duo that is obvious to the reader is the one where the wealthy person ran him and Solo down, tied Duo to a lightpole (or some pole) and almost raped him - where he was in the hospital in a coma and they got money out of the deal because the man bought his way out of sentencing and paid the family off. As for Solo coming off as far more mature than his age, well he's coming off as a grown old man - a little bit too mature for his age, even with all the trauma he deals with. I also agree with the person saying it's turned into a happy little school fic. Those chapters of them in school and classes and such are far too light-hearted for the seriousness which was initially cast on the story.

Oi!! First off thank you to everyone who has reviewed, you guys don't know how much it helps the author to read what their readers are thinking. *huge smile* I think I'll be giving you guys responses through here, it's a lot easier and doesn't interfer with the story. Now the next chapter is coming, but I can't seem to get the words down how I want so a part of it may show up soon and then rest a week later.

I just want to clear up a few misunderstandings, I'm not sure how parts of it comes off as a happy school fic... but they are teenagers and without the war to devastate them they would, technically, be in school. Though I'm pretty sure I'm trying to avoid it being a happy school fic *shivers* those just creep me out.

Aa.. plot and Oocness I'm working on keeping it all together, sometimes I think the story is writing itself and leaving me there eating the dust but I'm telling you I'm trudging through it to catch up!! You will not beat!! *looks sheepish* ahehe did I say that? ^_^;

With Duo, it was (very graphic gomen) attempted rape and he blocked out it, thinking of any lingering feelings as if it were a nightmare because Quin didn't acknowledge it, it didn't happen again and no one else noticed. Hence Duo as he is now, for Solo it was very different -their Mom found out (thank goodness) and before she stopped it it was an ongoing thing with Quin. Solo couldn't tell them everything and found his own way of coping. Hopefully that explains a part of the reason why they're so different. Quin was the one who was badly abused (rape, drugs, etc.) by the wealthy guy.

*smiles* now I'm definitely happy about the age appearance versus what their ages are, I was hoping to bring Solo across as far more mature than his age and than Duo. Oh and the introductions of new characters, though most are minor, have a grander purpose. I hope to make that clear in the chapters to come.

I tried to leave a review over at MM.Org, but the review function doesn't appear to be working. This is a very well written fic and quite enjoyable so far. There's been a few mispellings and grammar mistakes, but they don't detract from the story. This last chapter (eleven.2) with Solo and a newly introduced OC along with Quin was a bit far-fetched I believe, especially since the reader is to believe that Solo is 13 or 14 years old. Personally, I really couldn't swallow it, the characters seeming far older than they have been stated to be. It probably would have been easier to buy if Solo were something like 17-18, or if it had been Duo that were placed in that role in the chapter. It seems to be going a little off-track with that chapter, imo. Previously, it seemed you were building up to Quin being obsessed with Duo, which would have been interesting, as opposed to Solo, which is not as much. I also find it rather odd that Duo, who was also raped by Quin as well as being nearly raped/killed by the wealthy man, doesn't seem to have all the flashbacks and trauma that Solo does. Considering they are very close in age, it seems unnatural for him to not be going through some of the same emotional rollercoasters as Solo.

Overall, though, the story is intriguing and keeps the reader involved. I look forward to seeing where you take this, and hopefully you will turn the concentration more on the pilots rather than your OCs. Also, you need to consider putting Minor in your warnings on the story, since there are descriptions that imply N/C with characters under the age of 17, which might offend some readers if they aren't prepared by a warning in advance.

anyway your first chapters were great i loved them and are in my top 10 of ad fanfiction net i just hope your chapters wil be like that again and that duo/solos brother returns he was a cool good/bad guy

Poor Solo... Meeting Quin again and being used by said "brother"... I wonder if Quin will ever be good again... Hope that DUo could kick his butt for all the wrong the bastard has done... But why does Quin wear a braid? He still in love with Duo??
I really hope that you could update sooner, I really want to find out what happens next.

More Duo in next chapter puleeeeezu!! I really miss the shorty! And I hope that there would be some interaction between Quin and Duo next time too... not to mention the 1x2 one as well. ^o^

Gee, for goodness sake, please post a new chapter already!! I'm very tired of waiting, really. You keep 'revising' previous chapters, though they hardly needed any of it. The story is really great, and it really is a bad thing not posting more of it. (All my reviews for these chapters are at MM.org)

I love this story! I love it so much! I just thought I should tell you that. before I say my two cents about what's going on.
Heero mistaking Duo for a girl to get Relena off his back... classic. Wonderful! I'm really liking how well you're bringing all the characters together. I thinking your doing a wonderful job of keeping the characters true to their personalities but still using your own plot and effects on the characters, which effects how they all act. It's wonderful! Hope to see more soon! I want to find out how the room situations are going to work out... HAHA! Can't wait! ^,^
