You can write a chapter faster than I can write a coherent comment! I'm still a little stunned by all that has happened, and still going back and looking at Dante in Aideen. You really pulled it off. It was good to see Hohenheim and his adoptive family back home and at peace. I feel so sorry for Aideen. She's had Dante possessing her body for so many years, and now she has a new life living inside her. And poor Ed. To have to start all over again to have working limbs, and maybe not to be able to have automail, is a crushing blow. Roy and Nicholas have a tough job trying to hold the family together. I did enjoy Nicholas's t-shirts, though. They all need a laugh, and something to distract them from the daily sorrow.

You did a beautiful job writing Wrath's final scene. Bringing Izumi and Edward in to greet him brought tears to my eyes. Very touching.

*tears in eyes* If Ed doesn't get his automail back, it will just kill me. It will depress the hell out of me and I will be no good for a week, possibly two weeks! I fully expect to be an absolutely inconsolable, completely unreasonable, totally miserable irate brat sobbing my eyes out if it happens! (I can throw a temper tantrum like nobody's business!! XD) I'm hoping it won't tho. Like Hohenheim said, after everything Ed's suffered thru, he's due some good now. damn. I just can't imagine Ed without his automail! It is SO a part of who he is! It's just expected that the automail be there! The automail and the red coat are and were his trademark. With the coat gone, the automail is all that's left to make him distinctly him!. Without it, he's, well, lessened somehow. And I don't mean that as just in physical strength. His whole persona, his presence, is diminished. I mean, Ed wouldn't be Ed if he couldn't clap his hands and do alchemy!! T_T To think that so powerful a person has been brought so low truly breaks my heart. Ed's dark mood had me worried there for a while. A positive state of mind is critical to one's recovery. Speaking of recovery, Aideen should be feeling better now that she's at or nearing the end of the first trimester. Morning sickness generally ends about that time so things will get better for her. Physically anyway. Mentally's a whole other ballgame. She and Ed both have a lot of work to do to get themselves straightened out. Russell too. An empty grave, a cold headstone, and, apparently, no one to fall back on have left him pretty miserable. He seems so alone in his grief. He's probably lost a lot of his brother's attention now that Fletcher knows Aideen is pregnant. Fletcher will be sniffing around Aideen's door more now leaving his brother to mourn in solitude. *sigh* They've all come a long way in their healing processes but there is still such a long way to go...
I really do hope Ed will fully recover. I don't want to cry any more for him than I already have.

I had a feeling Aideen would be keeping the baby. When she introduced Roy and Ed to the baby and called the baby their granddaughter, there was no doubt she was keeping it. Aideen's going to have an extra hard time being pregnant because she doesn't even really know herself. She has to figure out who and what she is on top of dealing with all the issues that come along with being pregnant. She had no life of her own to be who and what she wanted to be and now has to be completely responsible for an innocent life. That's a lot to do. I don't envy her at all. It did make me grin when she thought that the baby was only the size of a bean. Reminded me of all the times Ed has been called bean-sized! :)

It's good she went to see Phillip and say her goodbyes. I don't know why but actually seeing the body of someone who's died somehow makes it more real. It helps you to accept it I guess.

Nicholas' explanation for why the Gate did what it did reminds me of that old Hitler argument I think I mentioned ages ago. The one where what would you do if you were there when Hitler was born - would you kill him then to prevent the deaths of others later or let him live hoping he was he lesser of two (or more) evils. Wanting Dante alive was the Gate's way of being benevolent I suppose. Ya gotta be cruel to be kind or something along those lines eh? whatever...

I wonder how Ed will react when and if Nicholas tells him that he can do the transferral transmutation just like Ed did. :) When Nicholas was little (I think it was when Winry had her baby) he did run around with a shirt stuffed under his own pretending to be just like his daddy! :D How funny (as in odd) would it be if history repeated itself! :)

Seeing Roy cry broke my heart! Roy upset and crying is my kryptonite! ;) This was a really good chapter and Aideen seems to be making progress towards reclaiming her life but when I saw Roy crying, I couldn't take it! *sniff* His baby's having a baby! ;_; We gotta hurry up and get Ed tended to before I completely lose it!

Very nice chapter! It started tying up a lot of loose ends nicely and answered alot of questions. Aideen's memories really shed light on the situations over the years, and the scene with the morgue was a good way of showing how the Armstrong family is dealing with their own grief.

One of the better chapters in this story, you should be proud of it.

I'm so wired right now I can't half hardly type! GAH!! I so don't handle emotional trauma drama well. Everybody's hurting so much! *cries* Ed's so damaged it'll be a miracle if can use automail again *sobs* (The thought of Ed confined to a wheelchair just breaks my heart! T_T "Roy carefully placed him in the chair, belting him in place." belting. *winces* like a knife in my heart.). Roy's on the verge of collapse (His whole world's suddenly gone to hell in a handbasket now hasn't it?). Fletcher...*glares savagely and growls at him* *takes several deep breaths to refrain from attacking him for touching her Roy (Yes I've laid claim to him again! XD)* Paws off Roy, Mister Tringham!. Aideen, ugh *closes eyes and massages forehead*, Aideen's PREGNANT!!! damnation and hellfire! I was so hoping she wouldn't be but, oh well. I SO hope the Gate slowly rips Dante apart bit by agonizing bit so she can feel all the pain she's caused everybody else!! *snarls* Nicholas is the only one who's not completely fucked up right now. Although with all the stuff the Gate crammed into his head there's no telling how long that'll last. *sighs* Roy and Ed's granddaughter. *shakes head* That is so blowing my mind! not exactly sure how I feel about that one. very torn. I'm cool with whatever Aideen decides to do about it tho. She's not much older than Ed was when he had the twins is she? hmm. The introductions, while seemingly completely random as hell at first, were actually kinda necessary. Roy and Ed are meeting their daughter as she really is for the first time. That is so good and so sad all at the same time. just one more thing Dante needs to burn for!! grr!!
Update soon! [so I can vent and rant some more! XD You're so tired of me doing that I'm sure. :( sorry.]

P.S. *wry smile* I'd forgotten about Roy and Ed's middle names! You made me flash all the way back to that time in Risembool when we first learned their middle names. :) *sighs* Times were so much happier and more innocent back then....

Poor Adieen! But knocked up or not she's herself again. But OH DEAR GOD! Her child will be related to THE ARMSTRONGS! *sudders* That child will have spinal problems from being hugged by it's grandpa Alex to much. I love Sloth/Nina. I'm not sure why, I think it is that mischeifness she has, and her taking care of Frank just makes me wibble. I feel like a broken record saying this but, another amazing chapter!

Go Hohenheim! Throw the bitch to the gate! Bwahahahahahahahahaa!

"What the hell were you thinking?" indeed!! Damnation and hellfire! This reckless little idiot scared the bejesus out of me!! I'd probably still be whippin' his butt for pulling such a stunt! :) I can't believe the Gate actually did something 'for' Nicholas without doing something 'to' Nicholas. It gave Nicholas what he wanted but took it's price out on someone else?? Riiight. uh-uh. I ain't buying it. The Gate's tricky and not to be trusted. Nobody gets something for nothing. Mighty suspicious. The Gate did say, "There are many things you have yet to learn". hmm. Maybe it's planning on extracting it's price at a later date. (skeptical much? :D)

I'm still not 100% sure what this "properly tied yourself to your world" stuff means. Emotional alchemy?? uh, what? @_@ What are they going to do with Dante now that she is in the doll's body? If she survives the blood loss from losing the three limbs, what's to stop her from trying to escape this broken body and attach herself to someone else? Speaking of limb loss, OMG!, Ed's a mess! T_T I hope Dante hasn't damaged his nerves beyond repair! I think I'll just break down and cry my eyes out if he can't use his automail properly anymore!! T_T I had no idea Roy could do medical alchemy! That's pretty cool!

Damn! When Phillip got shot I didn't think you'd actually kill him!! O_O whoa! I'm not torn up about it or anything, just surprised. Fare thee well, soldier boy.

At the end of the chapter when Fletcher saw everyone emerging from the tunnels, I, for some reason, got furious with him. no idea why. It's all fine well and wonderful if he helps them get to the medical help they all need but, beyond that, he needs to stay his ass out of this family's drama! Go home dammit! Leave! You're not needed here! Get out! grr!! I wish I knew why Fletcher irritates the living life out of me. It's completely irrational. But, then again, I never claimed to be rational to begin with! XD

Frank and Kain would be great parents for Sloth/Nina but how exactly does one raise a homunculus? How do you teach a soulless being right from wrong? Does she even have a conscious? How do you discipline a being that has no fear, feels no pain, and can just vanish and run away in an instant on a whim? Damned if I know. She's a creepy little thing tho. (I'm definitely aquaphobic! XD) If Frank and Kain do get to keep her, the other children she will be around and grow up with (Do homunculi grow up?) will not be kind to her. Children are vicious little beasts when they come across a kid who's different in some way. This is where that need to have a sense of right and wrong instilled in her somehow comes into play otherwise she might fly mad and drown all the other kids!! yikes!
