Vegeta's so kinky...I mean, ultrasound gel? But I suppose it does have that warming property... I think you handled this chapter very well, with Vegeta finding out about Goku's problem. I have often wondered if Vegeta didn't also suffer some form of PTSD. I mean, as Victor pointed out to both Vegeta and Goku, sufferers could have vastly different symptoms, and I sometimes have thought that Vegeta's initial reluctance at making friends or being part of a group could be a form of it. Of course, this is purely fan based speculation in considering an angle of his character for writing purposes, and I have completely gotten off topic from this review. So, I am glad that he knows and I hope that Victor, Chi-Chi, Vegeta, and Bulma can help Goku recover from the disorder. I loved the ultrasound scene, especially with Vegeta guessing Goku's kidney's as the baby and then calling it ugly before realizing that it was the baby he was looking at and not the liver. Vegeta seems much more happy and excited about this child than he did about Trunks. Can't wait to read more!

I enjoyed Vegeta's excitement at seeing the ultra-sound, and his delight/Goku's embarrassment at other uses for the warm gel.

Still worried about Goku's mental health, but I hope the others are able to help him through it.

I was thinking long and hard about what oneshots and stuff I want to write now that my story is finished...until I got distracted by your update. Curses!

Oh this chapter had me giggling. I loved the way Vegeta was pointing at the screen and asking if it was his baby only to be told it was a kidney...TWICE. Hahaha...and then when he really saw the baby, he didn't know what the hell it was! Ahahaha! Also...the gel...yeah, wow, Vegeta. You're such a pervert, for reals. Can't wait for the next update! ^^

Ahh, poor Goku. PTSD does make a lot of sense, especially considering all the horrific things Goku endured for years under Dr. Villa's so called 'care.' I'm sorry your eye is hurting you and I hope it gets better. I look forward to reading how Victor's treatment for Goku will help him to be less afraid and panic stricken around those that truly care for him.

Me again. I just wanted to disagree with a point in Mortifer Lascivio's review. I don't think Goku would go to his sons for help and support with these issues. Children look up to their parents. It's hard for them to deal with parents only being human (or saiyan) even once they're grown and know better. Equally I think Goku would feel a need to be strong in front of his sons. He is used to being seen as the rock solid protector and now that he can't be he would try even harder to preserve the illusion.

I do enjoy this story. I may not review every chapter but I'm always here. It's just difficult to come up with novel things to say. You really capture your characters emotional development and make it easy to believe. This story is the only reason I come to the DBZ section of AFF.

I hope your eye recovers soon.

First thing's first: I really, really hope your eye gets better! That's just really terrible and I feel badly for you :(

Second thing: This chapter was completely awesome, especially since you were in pain when you wrote it! I liked that there was some more interaction with ChiChi and Goku, just because I figured there'd be more than there already was. She kinda seemed to sorta disappear from the story there for awhile, but I'm glad she's back. I'm also glad that she truly cares about Goku and wants to help.

Goku should probably also try to seek out help from Gohan and Goten, since they are his sons and he probably trusts them more than anyone else right now. Neither are doctors so it should be fine in that area as well!

I feel so sorry for Goku because he's going through a lot right now and it certainly can't be very good on the baby. I hope the stress doesn't cause harm on the child, because Vegeta and Goku really don't need those types of complications in their relationship right now.

I'm also surprised that ChiChi's new husband is willing to help out. It's great because Goku needs all the help he can get. It's too bad that he isn't really allowing the man to be close though. I just hope everything turns out okay! I want my happy ending, darnit! *bangs fist*

Great chapter and it's okay that it was short. The quality made up for the quantity!

Chapter 22

(Obviously the first review I submitted as "chapter 21" was meant for chapter 20 ^^; )

I forgot to say about the previous chapter that I wasn't expecting Goku recovering his voice, it was a pleasant surprise. It seems that all the horrors of the past are starting to be left behind.

So finally Vegeta was forgiven. Well, Goku was so understanding. It's comprehensible that Vegeta is the jealous type, not only as you explained because all the things Goku's been through, but also because of Vegeta's own past. He lose everything in his childhood, so he must feel overprotective about what his maybe fearing something like that could ever befall him again. But Goku's concern to have to cope with another unstable mate again was perfectly understandable. The obsessed fangirlish part in me squealed at the reconciliation scene (ticklish Goku and purring Vegeta hehe) and swooned at the super sexy beach scene. Vegeta might not be romantic at all but he knows how to seduce.

BTW, trust to appeal to Vegeta's vanity to get something from him (maybe with a tan you won't look old lol Goku can be a little devious when he wants something, ah Vegeta doesn't know where he has gotten himself into Purrrrrrr ^.^) Well, it seems that things are starting to go smooth and peachy between those two, yay!

Chapter 21

Ahh, too much for a wooing. First a cold get in the way (sick Vegeta was amusing lol) and then Vegeta, with his habitual sensitivity and subtleness...*cough, cough* O.O goes all jealous. He seems to take one step in the right direction but invariably ends screwing everything and back to start again. Poor Goku. I wonder if Vegeta will be able to mend things with Goku, he went too far. *sighs* Ah well this chapter started funny and ended intense; you never disappoint. ^.^

Chapter 21

(I keep stalling ^^; )

Another thrilling chapter. Oh that torturing was SO Vegeta! Villa got the wrong man to plead for mercy I'm so glad Vegeta got his revenge. I wasn't expecting though Goku's reaction, he really must have suffered much more than you even have let slip for him to kill someone like that, without a second thought. I hope it serves him to start anew. Without the fear to fall into Villa's hands again he may heal, and he can trust again. It will help in his relationship with Vegeta. Ah, but now he's confused about his feelings. I like it, I find very believable that with all his emotional and psychological issues he didn't jump into Vegeta's arms suddenly infatuated like a teenager with his first crush. I really find fascinating the idea of Vegeta trying to get to him, to gain his confidence and his love. Yay for the wooing! Though Vegeta well, he's Vegeta, will he be able to properly court Goku, or will he lose his patience? Anyway, I love Vegeta's declaration. Serious, contained but sincere, forward and straight to the point, without sounding sentimental but intense. Ahh you truly had the real Vegeta there, and it gave Goku something to think, to consider his own feelings and ahhh it was absolutely marvelous.

Well, it would have surprised me if Goku would have shrugged a trauma like this off just like that... Even someone as strong - mentally as well as physically - as him couldn't do that.
And blaming Vegeta like this... you know, with not being there to save him... wow... Goku not trusting Bulma or even Vegeta as his mate... It even hurt READING this.
You're doing great. It's very plausible... I like it... can't wait for more...
Oh, and I hope you don't mind me reviewing this either here or on DEVIANTART (Name's the same, as you surely know ^^; ). But reviewing I will. :-)

mother flucker, okay i'm going to do my best to make this review coherent through the pain because i can't just noot review, your story is too awesome for that.

alright goku was really strange in this chapter, his behavior is totally irrational! though i ddo see where hes coming from, i mean he's been through a lot and he's afraid of being tracked down by villa again. its a bit odd that his fears are clouding his ability to think clearly because they are just his friends, he should recognize that! so this leads me to believe that perhaps theres something else going on here.

pan and bra sort of annoyed me in this chapter but idid feel sorry for pan when goku yelled at her like that, i think that was a bit uncalled for even if she was being a pest. poor goku, for him to react in such a way, he must be really suffering. too bad i can't give him a hug.

um, damn, what else was i going to say? well, if it comes back i'll leave it in a review later. i hope everything turns out good for these two even though we all know some stuff is going to happen. some really bad, angsty stuff. i don't like that you've hinted at complications in his pregnancy! bad news, BAD NEWS. *runs away, flailing arms

Poor Goku :( Well I for one think his paranoia perfectly justifyed. Remember when Villa came to catch him the second time? He said that a tracking chip had been placed inside of him and so far as iv read Goku has told no-one about this. Hes probably too scared to beacause to get it removed would mean having an O-P-E-R-A-T-I-O-N. But now hes scared that someone still knows were he is and that the chip is telling them that he is pregnant.

Or I could be compleitly wrong and the chip was somewere close under the skin and Bulma removed it. In any case the tension created in this chapter was masterful. Rock on.
