Other than the shoe confrontation (oi!) this was a very fun chapter to read. :)

Poor, poor Gohan....*follows them to the bedroom only to have the door shut in her face* Damn!

Wow... just my luck. I check this story TWO nights in a row, and got new chapters of a great story BOTH times. ABSOLUTELY loved Trunk's last line. Trunks really is egging Gohan on so much right now, and the fact that Gohan is possibly in denial about any possible feelings towards Trunks is hilarious. I loved his sputtering on about not being homophobic. That was absolutely priceless.

And thanks for clearing some of the things up in the review response. I understand that you want them to tent to their more civilized human natures a bit more. I read quite a bit, I guess I just forget about how they're really like on the show, compared to how they are usually portrayed by fan-based ideas. Thank you SO much for the offer to e-mail me when you update. That would be really appreciated. I really do wish AFF had a bit more of the features that it's kiddy counterpart seems to have. XD E-mail sent via yahoo IM Thank you so much for that.

It would be nice to know when you are posting again, thanks.

Back to your story... Hehe, too a point, I actually felt bad for Goten, I didn't really hate him any more, but I don't like him any less at this point. I thought he kind of deserved what he got for treating Trunks the way he did, but I would have hated to be stripped of my shoes like that as well. XD Gohan's getting a run for his money for playing the middle man at this point. I don't think I'd like to play referee for two demi-Saiyans in the middle of an ex-lovers qualler. Gohan's ribs might be stronger than the average humans' but he's taking Saiyan blows to them as well. Please don't over abuse the poor demis. XD

Plastic wrap on the doors... I laughed when Trunks found that... XD As far as Trunks, he seems to get a kick out of intentionally invading Gohan's personal space. I'm still not sure if he was using his own tooth brush or not... And that's a BIGGIE for me. I made my mother buy me a new one, when she accidentally used mine instead one time. XD So, between that and the scalp massage, I don't think I've ever seen Trunks portrayed as being the one so open to personal contact before. I think he's usually portrayed to be a bit stand-offish, seeing as that easily could be an inherited personality quirk growing up with Vegeta, but I'm loving the new spin that you've put into his character. It's easy to see how he relates to others in his own way, but it's grating on Gohan's nerves.

I'm looking forward to your next update, once again. Man, I must have reviewed REALLY late after the initial posting of your previous chapter, and for that I'm sorry... But I'll be looking out for your e-mail, and checking periodically once again.

I'm glad you enjoy my reviews. I like writing them for stories that truly deserve them, and it's great to see when an author appreciates them so much to respond to each individual ones as well.

Beautifully written chapter. I'm in awe of your skills at the moment. And as far as feeling sad about Trunks more so than Goten, I'm sort of put out with Goten that he could be so callous at the time, and consider Trunks as nothing more than a "fuck buddy" as they so like to have called themselves. I'm surprised that there are so many reviewers who are feeling sad for Goten, when he's the one who seems to be fine.

I'm glad you liked the last review so much, I hope I can give this one justice compared to it.

Unrequited love tied to the physical aspects of a relationship like that is gut wrenching. I'm so glad that Gohan has been there supportively for Trunks. I know that Trunks hasn't really considered anything serious as a relation between them yet, but the subtle hints you so expertly insert are sweet tender moments between them. Like Gohan comforting Trunks when he was crying, and the younger man not wanting to ever move, that was just too endearing for them. I'm the Truhan fan moreso than any other couple, so I hope they notice the small things between them eventually.

Like the way Trunks' gaze tended to linger on Gohan in that suite, and the way that Gohan really did admit it to himself at least that Trunks is hot, that was another thing they have going for them, but right now their only ties to each other seem to be need for rebound and lust towards each other.

I'm not sure if Trunks finding out about what went wrong with Gohan and Videl's relationship would hurt too much either. Gohan still doesn't seem to know how deep the two boys were involved. As far as he knows, Trunks just kissed Goten on the balcony and saw Goten turn him down, but I'm surprised he hasn't really picked up the sent of them in the room or anything. I think by now he's realized there was a bit more to it than that, but I'm glad that Gohan isn't just siding with Goten, being that their brothers or anything.

I really hope this ends well for them, and thank you for the update. I'll be looking forward to your next installment as well. I'm really glad that Truhan is still being written, for all the Vg/Gk you see anymore. XP

I seriously love this story! I am filled with so many conflicting emotions. I feel so bad for Trunks, but I also feel really bad for Goten. I want Trunks to find happiness, but at the same time, I don't want Goten to be with anyone but Trunks. Even if he has to be chained to Trunks. I feel excited and anxious at the same time. I must know what happens next!

Okay, I was a bit afraid there was going to be a whole lot of co-dependant angst in this chapter. (Trunks seemed very co-dependant in the last chapter.) I can see that is still there - but he is attempting to minimize it with material goods. I can see that as an IC thing for him to do.

Poor Gohan is going to get ran over by a Trunks tornado. I know he can stand up to it...I am just wondering if he's going to figure out to do so before it's too late.

And...Although I don't mind seeing Trunks and Gohan together *grins* I am wondering what will happen if Goten decides that life without Trunks isn't all he thought it would be. That's a whole lot of angst I wouldn't want to write....

    Triangles...GAH!

Anyway – I am just rambling about all the horrible possibilities I can see coming from this. I am certain you’re going to surprise us. :P

P.S. All that to say – good chapter. *drools about Gohan in suits and no glasses*

Well…despite at the end of the chapter Gohan turning into a Cinderella and the entire shopping-thing reminding of a teenage dream of winning a million $ and just going shopping, the chapter was a win. I don’t see that grand problem that you have been talking about.

”“Would you give it a rest with that, Mom?” Goten cut in loudly, talking over his mother. “My formative years were just fine because I had Gohan and he was a better father than dad ever—.”
[…]They both heard the soft sounds of their father’s voice consoling Chichi and then a distinct click, after which there was just silence.
Gohan mentally thanked his dad. Then his thoughts turned back to his brother, the real reason he had called.

Whoa, Goten is rather…harsh. Especially knowing that Goku is in the house. But that’s your average teenager probably. And at the same time Gohan seems to appreciate Goku. This scene let me see the structure of their family. Chichi is the same loud and usually annoying woman but Goku knows what buttons he needs to push to mold her.

They just didn’t talk about things like this. Even when Gohan had announced that he and Videl were separating, Goten only mumbled ‘If you ever need to talk . . . .” and Gohan had awkwardly thanked him but never took him up on the offer. Although they remained close as they’d gotten older, both of them had tacitly accepted the fact that they didn’t talk about girls, relationships, or sex. It was probably because of the age difference. And by the time Goten was old enough to care about sex, he’d started fooling around with Trunks and both boys had decided that it was better kept a secret.

I can’t tell you how much I like this paragraph! It touched a chord somewhere inside me. Really, very insightful.

“[…] he inspected himself in the mirror. He was happy with what he saw. The outfit: a classic. The body: well, flawless. The hair? He smoothed it with his hands then carefully placed his unruly bangs over his eyes. There. Perfect.
Nothing like looking damn sexy to lift one’s spirits. And if a certain ex-boyfriend should happen to notice, all the better.

Really, all Trunks ^_^ A narcissist forever.

“Trunks had heard that when a Saiyan lost his tail, it took him awhile to learn how to get around again without it. He felt Goten’s absence like the loss of just such an appendage and was dizzy with the new perception."

Ah, what a nice comparison and the whole idea!

"“You look stressed, Gohan,” Trunks observed. “You know what you need?”
“An assistant?” Gohan suggested. “A vacation? A massage!”
“No.” Trunks rolled his eyes. “A new wardrobe! Just look at me. This morning I was a mess and now—.”
“You’re a mess in brand new clothes,” Gohan finished for him, shaking his head knowingly."

Your Gohan is a sharp lad, isn’t he? :D I like him! Usually he’s portrayed as cold as a fish but here he’s so cool ^_^

"“Do you know who would fucking cream her pants if she saw you right now?” Trunks asked, making Gohan even more uncomfortable. “Videl,” he finished matter-of-factly.
“Really, you think?” Gohan’s eyes snapped up from the floor where they had come to rest. The younger man noticed that apparently, even the immaculate Gohan could succumb to vanity where his ex was concerned. Maybe the two of them weren’t so different after all. “Ah, doesn’t matter . . .” he said, regaining his senses. “I can’t afford any of this.”"

Another nice touch of Gohan’s character. As said, I’m really glad that here he is familiar with human emotions and can be “peacockish” like the rest of us ^_^ But yeah, Trunks’ mouth is shooting fast, making even me feel like blushing.

"“Amazing you had time to fall for Goten when you seem so inexcusably infatuated with yourself.” […] But the younger boy didn’t respond, except to muse quietly, “What’s amazing is how he managed not to fall head over heels for me.”
Gohan wanted to protest at the unapologetic conceit of the statement. But he only snorted and turned to leave the dressing room. The kid had a damned point.”

Hahaha, Trunks is really priceless. Gohan is too, admitting that quite easily to himself ^_^

This is such a beautifully written story. I love the way you've developed relationships between the demi's and their reasons for corresponding to each other's actions the way they do.

The way Gohan helped Trunks through his drunken stupor then to turn on him in the training room, written so well. All their actions are descriptive enough to know to an extent why they're doing what they're doing. Trunks got what he had coming to him. Still, the way you explained Trunks' childhood infatuation along those lines, I have to agree with Trunks having a hero worship for Gohan after that. I've seen that brought up before, and I loved the way you've inserted Gohan STILL being the strongest of the demi Saiyans. I hate when his Mystic powers are written off, due to the fact that he's just a brainy geek that's lost his ability to fight.

I feel so sorry for Trunks at this moment. Yeah, he could have treated Goten a little bit better, and perhaps it wouldn't have ended up the way it did, but I'm rooting more for it to work out between Gohan and Trunks. Gohan thinks he knows the reason he's comforting Trunks, but he doesn't know the depth of Goten's involvement either. That could also hurt what could be in the future between Gohan and Trunks.

I found this story on the Boxer and Rice site, didn't know it was this far along. Please continue this story. It's so well developed, and well written for the Truhan coupling. I'm loving it so far, and I really do wish there were a way to sign up for updates for stories on this site. Anyways, I'm glad it's come to Trunks needing Gohan at the moment.

    Chapter 1:
I like the writing style and story-telling very much - it gives the feeling of lightness and flow. Characters are fleshed out very well, their actions reasonable and familiar to canon which brings a knowing smile to a reader’s face.

    Chapter 2:
There are so many good “hooks” in here! For once, you have a nice sense of humor. I loved that: “”But then, remembering what time it was, he cleared his throat and in his best Vegeta impression he shouted, “Get up, you brats, before I blast this bed into the next galaxy!” Trunks scrambled out of bed so fast he didn’t even notice that Goten’s legs were entangled with his own. By the time he stood up with a “Yes, sir!” a split second later, [...].” Oh, I laughed about some minute. I wonder how often Trunks’ bed had been blasted to hell.

Another thing… the leather pants. I was waiting for something to happen (like Trunks messing with Gohan again), but it was even better. Oh yeah, amazing what one has to suffer for fashion. And going super Saiyan to look cooler - I liked how you included that.

Now let’s get to the more serious part where you portrayed Goten and Trunks’ relationship. “And, even though he knew he should be grateful to have such a loyal friend, he often felt only . . . suffocated.” Haahhh, this one floored me. Well, in a good way. It made me think that really, Trunks is suffocating. He’s kinda…maximalist here, isn’t he? Restless, wants everything to go his way, loves having control and teasing everyone around him. He’s being possessive of Goten. And I don’t think it’s just because he likes Goten very much. Probably he just wants Goten to be around him, well, like he wants to be the center of Goten’s world. Trunks simply loves attention, doesn’t he? I think he’d simply go insane if he suddenly found himself alone.

    Chapter 3:
Ah, so once control slipped out of his grasp, so he too, wants Goten to balance on the end of the abyss. Poor Goten, now he won’t know where to put his eyes in University.

Anyways, drugs…I just hope it was a one-time slip Trunks did. All those drug stories are really…well, it gets really repetitive and annoying.
Well, let’s wish Gohan luck in trying to figure out what is going on ^_^

    Chapter 4:
It seems trunks can’t decide whether he should be grateful to Gohan or just annoy and tease the crap out of him. Those seem like phases, heh

Mmm… Trunks is getting a habit to “beat” Gohan off with ambiguous innuendos.
I liked the scene in the bathroom, when Gohan was helping Trunks out of his clothes.

There was also this: “It had ended with the promise that, “If you’re bent on abusing your body, I’ll gladly do the honors.”
Then it had taken the construction crew two weeks to plaster the hole Vegeta had put in the bedroom wall when he tossed his son through it. And that was just cigarettes.

Sooo Vegeta-like. He seems to have a knack for rearing children, hehehe

    Chapter 5:
It seems Gohan didn’t realize that this had been the end of a long lasting relationship. He thinks Trunks tried to get together only now?

What I liked the most was how you made Gohan accidentally see them and realize it all. He also wasn’t shocked, just understanding. I wonder how it would have been if Goten had not pushed Trunks away, but that’s another story.

So Goten finally decided to find out what’s life without Trunks hogging him and all of his senses and experiences. Yeah, growing up together, doing things together, Trunks trying his best to be the center of Goten’s attention might really be too much, making one feel like suffocating.

On the other hand, maybe it will improve Trunks personality? i think it might be a naive thought, but maybe not getting what he wants will make him consider other people. But then…I think Gohan is going to buzz around him, spoiling that effect and making Trunks feel as if he really is the most important in the world…

A very emotional chapter, this one!
