Reviews for The Killer In Me Is The Killer In You

What makes this fanfic work is because there is the coldness and disregard for life. It seems realistic that a Saiyan cannot live without the kill. A very good and disturbing glimpse at Saiyan psychology.

This really was a very well written story. I have to give credit where it's due and you have done a damn good job with this. Impeccable vocabulary, deep and thought provoking, and it flows spectacularly with an embedded essence of suspense that I haven't seen that well written in literal years.

I haven't checked your author page yet, but I hope to see some similar works posted. Keep up the good work! Also, I've read a ton of somewhat similar "dark fics" that the tweens over at FFN write, and your fic completely blows the vast majority of everything else I've read to the wayside.

    Seriously. Great job.

Yes I'm reviewing a story from a year ago, but I just read it and had to, had to, had to comment. I have some problems with romanticized/redeemed Vegeta, not that I don't mind him being redeemed but most times people just take it to the extreme and beyond. This was very real, gritty Vegeta. I loved the fact that he still kills, and he has all his darkness inside but he still fulfills his duties as a father and as a husband. Because minus the fact that he kills Trunks' girlfriend, it was a utterly father thing to do; you know cleaning up after your child has royally messed up. I really liked this story. And I really like how you portrayed Trunks and Vegeta's relationship.

I love the way you presented this. There's something about the hidden darkness in Vegeta that writers sometimes like to forget. [Although it's totally understandable. It's pretty hard to reconcile the evil in Vegeta and the emotion he shows to his family.) But you pulled this off perfectly. ^_^

A significant father and son bonding moment.

It truly was a crime of passion, and Saiyans are passionate beings... so technically he really didn't do anything wrong... he was justified... in a human court that's temporary insanity...

The truth of their nature was finally realized...the truth about Vegeta and the true nature of his relationship with his son, wife and that other Son. What they don't know won't hurt them... Trunks has finally, finally bonded with his father... and his father has finally, finally at long last... really not only taken care of, but acknowledge his son... his real son...the one he knew exhisted under all that 'fluff'.

The prince was finally and truly Trunk's parent... and a dutiful husband... and the leader of his race... all in one package... beautiful.

[it would be interesting to see the flip side of this...the other full-blood saiyan...he was a killer also...he did kill... it would be interesting to see that comparison /contrast]

    I really enjoyed reading this....

This was a well thought out chapter. The emotions were very real and the reactions were also. Vegeta was being sayian, and Trunks had a glimps of what that really meant.

I loved the ideas and insticts Vegeta brought to light in this little heart to heart with his son.

Although the topic will probably make it the target of some... dsicord, I really liked this.

    Well done!

Disturbing... really, really disturbing. But it is supposed to be. Interesting take on Vegeta and his Saiyan heritage - unapologetically doing what comes naturally for him. His ideas of father-son bonding - a killing spree here and there... just something normal. Very different from the usual redeemed Vegeta.
