It's so hard watching Ed fight when he can't use his alchemy. I get frustrated on his behalf. And what a cliffhanger! I can only hope that Roy's bonds are loosened enough to use his fire powers. The kiss was very romantic, even in the middle of all the tension. Good chapter! I'm always excited to read another one, but they just leave me wanting more, like potato chips.

*there is a lot of detail in this review. if a random person is reading this and isn't caught up, then stop or be spoiled.*

this is not happening. he is not dead. he's not. DON'T! EFFING!! DO IT!!! *ahem* anyway, i'm sure you won't. well...not sure, but almost sure? oh, you can't, because then the whole point of the story is lost! it's about them hooking up!! well, sort of. that's the eventual point. which is destroyed if you kill him now! *chanting* kill the seniore, kill the seniore, kill the seniore! COME ON ROY!! just fucking DO IT! ...wait, he's still tied up. DAMN IT!!!! *sigh* anyway, please update soon, because i HAVE to know what's going to happen!!~

Ugh. This major general what's-his-face is a real piece of work! arrogant ass. Ed seems to have worked out a pretty good deal with him tho. I hope so at least. I hope he didn't sell his secrets too cheaply. There had better not be any hidden addendums in that agreement! grr! After all this, Ed and Al have more than earned a break! :)

WHEW! I'm so glad Al is OK! :) His first words to Ed, "Don't be thick", had me grinning like a fool! Not only was he awake but he was OK with Ed's confession - not that I doubted for a minute that he would be! sqwee! Ed confessed he loves Roy!! happy happy! Now to get them together and get the hell out of this godforsaken country! :D "It was time for Captain Taylor to learn just why Edward would be a very special person in his life." Why indeed! :) Aside from the fact that they obviously love each other, what could it be?

WHAT?!?!? The twins have found Ed already?!? dammit! I swear, trouble follows Ed like a lost puppy! Oh where is Roy when you need him? He can use his fire alchemy(?) to incinerate these goons once and for all! I know Ed doesn't want to use blood to use alchemy but it doesn't take much to do it really. In the movie (I can not remember how much canon is in this story) all it took for Ed to activate the circle that opened the gateway was the small bit smeared on his glove from the scratch on his cheek. If Ed remembers this (assuming it's part of the storyline), he could use alchemy to save himself and Al from any more harm from the twin goons! It's so doable!! Ed's got that scalpel! One quick nick and let the blue lightning sparks of alchemy fly! Oh how ecstatic I would be if Ed used alchemy to finally rid the world of the Seniore!! :D

Here's all the cookies I got - chocolate chip, sugar, candy cane, and some double stuffed chocolate Oreos. They're yours. Will they get me an update any sooner? :D Hope so!!
    Update soon!

*Presents with platter of sugar, ginger, chocolatechip, oatmeal, banana, shortbread and every other type of cookie this reviewer can think of*
“Don't care, either. Now get me a drink,” - That was perfect. perfect prose, perfect Al, just perfect.
But those twins! They make you want to sqeal in delight and strangle them at the same time- what is it about pawns that just drive a pity stake through your heart?
Oh well. Ed confessed. that makes up for everything.
*Hands over twenty more bags of cookies*

WAAAA! The twins! No, NO, NO! There you go, cliffhangering us again!

Yet another amazing chapter! Please, oh please, let the Seniores' death be horrible. Maybe Roy could fry the sucker? That would be a nice touch.

You had me going for a moment with the dream in the begining. I though you had skipped ahead and it was over! I wanted to wail!

I just love your Noa. No other author has made me like her so much. And her standing up for her self and giving it to those gaurds was all kinds of awsome!

...AAAHHH! great story, i love it. please update soon!! i really want to know what happens! al can't be dead, right? grr... well, things are clearly winding down. what i can see coming are the final say on al's well-being and the trip to north dakota. ANYWAY!! i really love this story. it's got a wonderful and very original plot. ed and al have seemed, for the most part, in character. and everyone else has been an OC, except noa, but there really isn't a lot known about the intimate details of her character. even roy has had a fair amount of mustang in him. gahrg. i hope to see more soon. while i read chapter 19, my sis (who had already finished this a while ago) was sitting with me to reread over my shoulder. when ed saw the ceiling break, i didn't realize it was going to happen. when al shouted to isabell the second time, i still didn't realize it. when ed said 'too late' i STILL didn't think it would really happen. and then she was gone. i paused for half a second, then whipped around to look at my sister and said, 'that didn't just happen.' i was so upset! i LOVED izzy. *tears* and then AL got shot??!!?! i was just... completely thrown. i couldn't believe the things that were happening. *incomprehensible shouting* it's so sad... but besides the terrible sadness of death, i really liked the fighting; i could see most of it in my mind. and when ed cut his hair, i was thinking he would for about three paragraphs or so. it was sweet! and then he beat the shit out of the seniore. damn, is HE an ass. i liked how there were two plotlines at first, but then you smoothly merged them together. excelent job. anyway, this is turning out to be a ridiculously long review, so i'll stop typing soon. again, great job and i hope to see more!~

So I finally had time to read this- I've been mourning not having the time for AGES! And boy, I wasn't disappointed! I liked how Roy Taylor calmed Ed down after Al was taken away in the medical truck. I'm not sure I like the idea of Noah and Al together, but the way you've built up the uncertian romance between the two... I think I can grow to like it. I also LOVED how you had Roy drifting off during his report. That was just cute.

mmm. Yeah, you're probably the only one who likes Noa. quiet strength? *shakes head* She seemed kinda wimpy to me. Even so, I was fine with her right up until she stole Ed's memories/knowledge of alchemy. That was the "Aw hell no!" moment. After that, she went straight on my shit list and could do no right. Yes, Eckhart forced her into it but Noa did open the Gate causing the pointless destruction in Central. When she begged Ed to take her with him as he was escaping in Alfons' rocket, I had to roll my eyes. I was like, 'You caused all this hell and now you want someone to save your sorry butt??' pish. I blame her for Alfons' death too even tho she wasn't directly involved. (Yes it is irrational because I have no solid fact or reason for it but that never stopped me before! :D) And finally, since I illogically blame her for his death, her dancing at Alfons' grave was adding insult to injury. I will give her credit where it's due. She did pull Al back from the brink and for that she gets props.

But enough about Noa. I much prefer to discuss Roy and Ed! :D I'm dying to know what Roy wants to ask Ed!! I can guess but I want to hear it from his lips, so to speak. :) The growing bond between these two is just great! Ah love! :) I was impressed that all it took for Roy to get the truck keys from Ed was the touch of his hand. I'm a little fuzzy tho on what Roy promised Ed after that. I had to smile when Ed was comparing Roy Taylor and Roy Mustang. It was kinda sad that Ed doesn't see Mustang as the original anymore. What could this mean I wonder. Does this change how Ed thinks of home? What else does Ed view differently now? They say that home is where the heart is. Now that Ed has Roy in his life and is, I believe, in love with Roy and vice versa, will Ed not want to go back to Amestris assuming that that is still possible? *heavy sigh* I need to stop fretting over this. The swirling possibilities are killing me. 'What ifs' can drive you insane.

*glares* The Seniore is STILL alive?!? Damn! What does it take to kill this cockroach?? I'm about to think that it's gonna take the ever elusive fission bomb going off on his head to be rid of him! :) Please oh please let there be something truly spectacular in the works for his demise!! Hell, at this point, as long as he's definitively dead I'll be happy. I don't think I could take it if he gets his hands on Ed again. *cries*

I don't know why but Major General Thompson reminds me of General Hakuro. Thompson is as devious and underhanded as Hakuro ever was. He did say he had tricks up his sleeve to get Ed to cooperate. I guess that's why Ed shows him the same respect he did Hakuro - i.e. none! :D

Every time I see the name Schreck I think of Shrek the ogre! XD I'm sure Disney would not approve of me making this little association in my head! :D It is funny, to me at least, to think of one of the bad guys as a big green ogre! :) I'm glad the Ashertons got what they deserved, the plans were recovered (I thought all this time that the plans were for the fission bomb), and the base with all its chimera inside was destroyed.

I eagerly await the next 2 or 3 (or more! :D) remaining chapters!! You've got a lot to do with Roy and Ed still (they're not officially a couple yet but they're so close! *fangirl squeals* :D) plus there's the Seniore who is most unfortunally still alive. LOL! These are important things that must be handled ASAP! :D
    Update soon!
