Chapter seven!! I’m almost caught up!! Really, I’m more disappointed by that than happy, but, at the same time, I need to read what happens next!!
“Someone was standing over me, asking the cliche "are you ok's" when it was painfully obvious, that uhh, hell no, I wasn't.”
OMG, I know exactly what you mean. Well, really, who doesn’t? But really, even though I appreciate that people are trying to be nice, do I really look like I’m okay when I’m puking my guts out? Sad thing is, our society is so socially polite that people feel obligated to ask that, even when they don’t really want to. It’s a vicious cycle.
"Where have you BEEN the last ten years?! Uhh..." I swallowed, squinting in concentration. "A.... Coma?"
*snicker* Nice one Goku. It’s just so like him, isn’t it?
“I looked at him blankly, staring at the small patch of metal embedded beneath the soft skin of his flesh. "My time card," He informed. "My 14 hours is up. Time to go home."
Their time cards are imbedded in their skin??!! It makes sense, economically, but how awful!!
“You know," I sighed. "I guess Albino will have to do."
LOL. You know, I wonder why he didn’t say Goku?
“Her little hand was in my strands of hair, sifting through them as she giggled delightfully. As much as I knew I liked Sam, I was falling pretty quickly in love with his wife.”
No comment. :P I just want to say how absolutely absurd and normal this whole scene is as opposed to the one that just happened before it. It really brings this into sharp focus, the contrast, and I really love that.
“He didn't think that people were created to live like that, the rich prospering and the poor just scrapping by. He balanced everything out, put everyone on everyone else's level. No rich, no poor.”
*winces* While everyone says that they want an egalitarian society, I don’t think they have this in mind. Sadly, this is most likely the only way that it would work too.
Bulma’s alive and helping Kakarot. I’m not really surprised, but I still don’t like it. Hmmm… I’m not really sure what to make on his philosophy about families. On the one hand, living through the death of a loved one is a horrible pain that never completely goes away. On the other hand, murdering whole families to save them from that pain is psychotic.
'A human life has no purpose if it cannot complete 10 hours of labor towards the earth that spawned it.'
Freaky how that seems to be our philosophy in the US nowadays.
“I didn't sleep a wink the whole night.”
No, I don’t think I would either. This is insane. I’m so completely caught up in this new world. This is fantastic Camaro. Onto the last new chapter!!

I wasn't really sure about the ebola thing in the chapter before this -- it seemed kind of... odd for a saiyajin to do his killing so indirectly. However, I think this chapter helped clear that up. I really liked his journal entries -- they struck just the right tone.

O.o Um...The journal entries started out sort of mudane...and then, yikes. What happened? I mean, I know what happened, Chichi and Gohan got sick and died, but how? Gohan's half sayian!
Well, this would certainly change Goku. Enough to make him want to be Kakarott...the sayian he learned he was.
Jessie...that surprised me. She knew, and yet she didn't freak out about it. *sighs*
Looking forward to the next one!

Yeesh...that's a very grim world Sam painted a picture of. At least Goku was able to find out some of what is going on, if not all. O.O I am very surprised Bulma would lend a hand to this madness...I wonder if Goku will find the answers to that as well.

Yeah...Vegeta was silly to think he could get away with that..that Goku would let him get away with it. Yikes.
And now, where are we? O.o Yamcha thinks a gun is going to work on Goku?
Interesting world you are describing. On to the next chapter.

O.O YIKES! That's just so messed up. Uh...I don't know what else to say...
Evil Goku indeed!

Heh. For some reason the part I liked best about this chapter is the fact that Goku beat Vegeta into a pulp afterwards instead of following the yaoi cliche and turning into a weeping pile of injured uke. What else would he do?
Can't wait to see how the threesome promised in your summary works out. I predict violence and angst. *happy grin*

Well...I read this chapter again, and it still disturbs me as much as it did the first time. Gods...what a horrible realization Goku must be going through....
Won't say any more, don't want to ruin it for anyone else.
Well done Camaro!

After so many months so overwhelmed with varsity work and change and everything that comes with being a crack-headed wannabe writer, I said: "To hell with exams! Its good literature I seek!"
And so, I tentatively came back to Camaro. The drug I nurtured two years ago and should have stayed with.
I'm back! And I adore "Perfection". Back to the Saiyans that are Saiyan and not part human. Back to violence and passion all wrapped up in painfully magnificent prose.
I'm so happy I found you again, Camaro. You are a Goddess amongst writers.
I will be tracking this work most earnestly. You are truly brilliant.
