So, basically I love this story. It's very well written. I was worried at first because I wasn't sure which direction this was going, but I love what you did. This is one of my favorite Envy/Ed stories...it just seems so like what their relationship could be like. Thanks for writing!

First of all I want to say that you completely blowed me away with this amazing story of yours, I loved it so much! It was so beautiful, sweet, sad, dark, tragic and ect.
And even though I loved it, I couldn't help but feel a little bit angry and hateful towards Envy for the way he treated Ed, but I'll always love Envy no matter what, so...never mind, hehe!
And I more than loved the scenes were he actually was nice and somewhat loving towards Ed in his own twisted way, of course!
Oh well, you said it; he's an asshole and indeed he is, but such a loveable one he is at that, haha!

I really think the plot was quite brilliant and so was the portrayal of the characters and the interaction between them, you did such a good job! Even though Ed was a bit OOC, when he was submissive and all, I still loved him and the fic, of course too! But I guess I'll always want Ed to fight and not take anyone's shit, not but least Envy's, for that matter, hehe! Anyway, it was all very well written, you're such a talented writer, Kudos!

Don't get me started on the smut, cuz that was just like mind-blowing, so freakin' hot and so good, I totally love it, hehe!
And I really liked your ideas on why Ed always wore his hair long and the one about Envy "becoming human" or whatever, very good!

All in all I really think you did a wonderful job here, on writing about two characters and their dysfunctional relationship, a very fine job indeed!
And the ending was rather good as well, no scratch that, it was pretty fantastic!

oh that was lovely. envy was sweet while still being envy. Ed was Ed like even though he was submissive and it was written beautifully. It almost feels like one of those older tales you read sometimes where you can read an interpret morals in the story without there being any overt moral. something like 'home isn't where your accepted for who you are but also for who you once were and who you could be'
ahh sorry that probably just sound silly but it's meant as a compliment. I don't usually give long compliment usually just 'wow.nice' but I thought this story deserved an answer to why i liked it so yeah

Since I've read this whole story a couple of times now, I figure it'd be polite to leave you a review. Where to begin? Firstly, since the focus of this fic seems to be on Envy/Ed porn, I'll go ahead and say that the story succeeds very well in being hot. I'm a sucker for OTP smut, and I'm not sure I've ever seen so much porn per word in an Edvy fic before. Good job there. Also, you introduced some intriguing ideas, like Envy possibly turning human, and Ed needing Envy to get by in Munich.

And for your first time writing Envy, this is a reasonably solid Envy voice. I mean, Envy is a bit character in the anime; he doesn't have a lot of personality beyond wanting to kill Hohenheim and Edward and so on, and the characterization you've given him here makes sense. I really like fics where Envy is somewhat conflicted and wants to make Ed happy even as he simultaneously desires to hurt him, so I liked that aspect of this fic as well.

Now, there is some constructive criticism I'd like to give you. I know you finished this fic a while ago and you probably have no interest in editing a fic which is already complete; I don't blame you there. But I figured maybe some concrit would help with your future writing endeavors, and possibly with Envy/Ed should you choose to write more of this pairing. The main point of concrit which stuck with me as I read this fic is Edward's characterization and his relationships with the other characters besides Envy. I know you stated upfront that Ed would be more submissive due to having lived helplessly in Munich for years, but Ed knew Envy before, so why doesn't he have more pride about things like crying in front of Envy? Also, when they get back home and Envy is no longer providing for Ed, why doesn't Ed flee from Envy, or fight back against him? With Al's and Roy's help, he could defeat Envy.

I'm not trying to discourage the Envy/Ed relationship here, because I love that pairing. But I think given the circumstances, it might've made more sense for Ed and Envy not to have returned to Amestris. Then Envy could keep providing for Ed and keep having his way with him. Or, if they went back, as they did, it might've made more sense for Ed to have used Al's and Roy's help to turn things around on Envy and force Envy to abide by some boundaries of respect. As it is, I don't think I understand why Ed is content to let Envy walk all over him--as well as Al, to some degree, and others. Not only content, but gleeful. It just seems unbalanced, like Ed is sacrificing everything to be with Envy, but nothing at all is keeping Envy in check. Envy gets whatever he wants out of the relationship (or so it seems to me). I cannot fathom why this is appealing for Edward, or why Al and Roy and others wouldn't forcibly attack Envy regardless of Ed's wants--or, for that matter, why the military doesn't enslave Envy for being a homunculus.

I don't mean to sound as if I'm trying to control your story. I enjoyed the fic, and I know you were mostly writing for the pairing and not the plot, but I think tackling challenges of the plot (instead of doing away with those challenges and just smoothing things over for Ed and Envy) would make the pairing aspect more tri-dimensional and interesting. If you write more Ed/Envy in the future and Ed is more difficult and struggles more, I think it might just make their coupling even more satisfying. Anyway, I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into this fic, so thank you for writing it. It was a fun read.

Shit. Loved it, like, holy bleeping shit. The cutest, most horrible, made-me-want-to-laugh-and-cry-and-hug-someone Envy/Ed fic I've ever read. I think 'tis probably one of your best. You've made Envy such a lovable bitch, as he should be, and the character development between him and Ed (and in themselves) was believable and moving.
