WHAT HAPPENED TO ROY!!!!! *whimpers* I want my flame-boy back. Good chappies though... I can't wait to read more!!!!! Keep it up!!! *sits staring at computer screen for next update*

Mmm, I hated that dream... it made me cry. But, then again, I totally loved it. I loved that you linked it to chess with Kain, that was extremely smart. I hoped he actually learned something from that, which, if he didn't, I'm sure it'll click somehow.

I wonder if Al really will go find Ed and if he is going to actually get the chance. With palm-tree there to mess with his plans and be "Russell" who knows what will happen? (except you, of course...damnit) So is Ed actually admitting to himself that he loves Roy?

Ahh-- classic women's intuition. Winry is right and I feel bad that Al actually thinks it's Russell. In his bliss he completely forgot about certain people that could do him harm, that still haven't gotten what they wanted in the first place. He thinks everything is okay since his life is alright and the only thing worrying him is the rebellion, sex, and Ed. (Al, that little perv) (of course if I was locked in a tin can for such a long time, I'd crave human contact as well)

I love that Kain was helpful-- he's such a cute guy! And the nurse thing cracked me up. Ain't that just how it is? All the good men are taken. (not neccessarily by other men, but that's a sexy thought)

Edward, towards the end of the chapter, seemed a bit more enlightened. He's taking this seriously and I love that he is starting to think. Hopefully, he realizes that he too has been selfish. I hope he got the meaning from Kain, I really do. AND I STILL WANNA KNOW WHAT HE DID TO GET AL'S BODY BACK!!! T^T

roy's creepy, sending people dream-messages from the maybe-grave. and al is such a wuss. and it wouldn't surprise me a damn bit if the military didn't say anything about roy because they don't know where he is. like, he's hiding at the landlady's place. but that might just give over to ed freaking out that roy didn't tell him he was alive and somewhat home, conveniently forgetting that roy wouldn't have a way of knowing that ed was home while in hiding.

wow, i'm getting way too into it. you know, i thought that roy saying he was taken and talking to kain about ed were really sweet and nice touches to add to the melodrama that is "roy's missing," though it could be more like dallas and who shot roy mustang? anyway, i can't wait for the next chapters. i know jack shit about chess, so i must know if it ties in more with the plot. bring it on! XD

I love the chess analogies! I tried picking up the game myself for ahwhile and it was addicting! Another great chapter!
I just love this story! The whole people's army thing and the fact that the homunculi are involved linegering in the back ground just adds a lot to the plot, especialy thinking it will come to the forefront soon! That tension is just great! and oh my god! Ed's dream and him crying! I wanted to cry!

i didn't even realize it was so late, i was so engrossed with the chapter. ^.^ i even had tissue ready in case you threw out there that roy was dead. though, with the way this chapter shaped out to be, it could still end up either way, huh? *is nervous* and i'm kinda worried for winry... like, i keep thinking envy's going to rape her or something. or at least use her to trap al into working for whatever the hell they're after. and why didn't riza tell ed roy's 'last' words?! i mean, if they're going to shape up and continue down roy's road, that little meeting at her apartment seems to have been the only really appropriate time for the situation to be broached. unless, of course, my deep-seated fear is actually true, that riza is trying to break them up!! but, i don't think even she would do something like that, after hearing roy's true feelings for ed...

man, it doesn't even encompass how badly i want the next chapter to merely say 'i look forward to the next chapter.' but i'll wait patiently, i promise. and i still have that butcher's knife if roy is dead... *evil glint, then smile* good luck!!

Damnit! I just had a shit load of things on this review and it all got deleted cos my computer froze and I hadn't submitted it yet. Oh well, I guess I have to start typing again.

Okay-- Let's try to remember what I typed about Breda and everyone. I think you did exceptionally well with characterization given the circumstance and the amount of time each character had on the anime. Now that I have time to go over what I said before, I think you actually chose the perfect character to talk to Ed. Looking back at what I've seen on Breda and reminiscing the movie a bit(which I totally forgot about for a second), Breda is a smart man, funny sometimes, but he can get serious. I thought that maybe Falman might've been better suited, but then again, you don't see much of Falman, and he'd take every WAY too seriously. Especially about Roy and Ed having a relationship. I was a little surprised at the way he reacted to it... I didn't really know what to expect, but seeing him a little neutral to it, I suppose his reaction was okay. Breda doesn't seem as close to the Colonel as Hawkeye, Havoc, or Fuery and when Hughes was here, him. Yet... I know he has a lot of respect for him. It's interesting the way you've put Breda out... I like it. If Havoc hadn't been so shocked and sad about the situation I could've seen him as the one to talk to Edward. For instance, he reprimands Ed for bad-talking Mustang in the anime.

Hawkeye's reaction, to me, was perfect. In the anime, when she thought Roy had died, she kinda freaked out a bit and we saw her more sensitive side. Her talk with Ed made her sensitive side REALLY show and it's probably the only time we'll see it again, unless something else happens like this. (IT BETTER NOT... okay, maybe you can, but I don't want anyone dying....please?)

I really don't believe that Roy is dead... yet. You never know what might happen... But-- there's too much going on right now and Roy finally admitted to himself that he loved Edward... now it's time for Ed to admit that HE loves Roy. Which reminds me, if it was so easy for Breda to find out, then who knows who else will find out about this? But, yes, I don't think Roy is going to die at the moment... and I really hope he doesn't die thereafter. That would rip me apart. I hope no char. deaths happen. I will cry and too many fanfics make me cry, esp. yours!! T^T

Havoc's reaction seemed like it was very accurate, that is probably how I would portray him.

Ed... oh poor Ed. I feel so bad, yet I have to agree with Breda in some ways. I don't know if Ed will live up to what he says he will do, but I find it better if he is given advice from the sidelines. Ed doesn't have much experience, like you said, but he is an extremely smart boy--one example being, when in Youswell, he cleverly tricked First Lieutenant Yoki and afterwards there are so many times in which he outsmarts people. I believe Ed will shape up... in the anime-- after he has his time to cry-- he gets right back into business and turns into a more serious person. Esp. in the last episodes in which he gains a serious reality check and becomes more mature than ever. I hope he gets more mature as the story goes on.

With "Russell" watching Winry like that it gets me a little worried. He could use her as leverage anytime he wanted to... esp. against Al, who loves the girl. I don't know... Al HAS been giving her fighting lessons, hehe.

I seriously enjoyed analyizing this chapter and seeing different reactions. Reactions are my favorite thing! Especially when it's all dramatic and stuff and people are like, "NOOOO!" or "Le gasp!" Thank you for updating!

Wow! That was a powerful chapter! I think you did an excelent Breda. Poor Ed, I can't wait to see how you ahve him handle all this! And once again, you evil person you, you leave us with another cliffhanger.

ZAKAI!!! *sobs* Don't leave me hanging like this!!! T_T You big meanie! I gotta know if Roy is OK or...*wibbles*...not. *cries* I was right there with Ed having a big ol' pity party! We make quite the pair mourning for things we don't even know are true or not yet! :) Every time Ed yelled for someone to tell him something about Roy, I was there demanding it too although I was doing a lot more kicking and screaming than Ed was! LOL! *bonks self on head* dork. :P I loved it when Ed got Roy's jacket out of the closet and laid curled up on the bed with it wrapped around him! Anything to be close to him again! *sniffle* Oh! I know for sure now that I want this Douglas sonofabitch dead! When he said, "I want that little fuck to stay out of my way. This is my case, and I won’t have him sticking his nose in where it doesn’t belong.", OH!, it was all I could do not to want to reach in my computer and strangle him!!! grr!!!

Breda may have been a chore to write but I think you did an excellent job with him! He's great! You're totally right. Breda is definitely not the lazy buffoon he so often plays at. He's got the know-how to get the job done. Roy wouldn't have anyone in his inner circle who couldn't. So Breda wants Ed to temporarily take Roy's place huh? hmm. The phrase "and a child shall lead them" for some reason comes to mind! (Ed would kill me for calling him a child! XD) Breda showed real moxie the way he handled the grieving Ed. He managed to not outright condemn Roy and Ed's relationship and offer a bit of comfort all while trying to persuade (i.e. manipulate, coerce, force) Ed into doing what needs to be done. Ed hates to be used but I think he'll do it anyway. He has to or everything they've been doing will be for naught. Riza's words probably helped to convince of him of this fact. Btw, that hug Ed and Riza shared was the best thing for them! They both SO needed that! Me too! XD

What's up with Winry and Russell/Envy? Why's he watching her? jeez. If it's not Kimblee being all lewd and lascivious it's Envy creeping everybody out! What happened to Russell? What kind of hell is Envy planning on causing in Risembool? Are Archer's jack-booted thugs still causing trouble there? When's Al and Winry's wedding? ugh. so many questions! They just keep me coming back for more! :)
