Beautifully done! I loved the part where Mustang slaps him across the face for the first time. And Ed finally telling Roy his thoughts and feelings fo rit only to be in vain and even more trapped byu the man. The the forshadowing of the murder we already know happens was great too. This chapter was a very nice addition to the others! You should be proud of this.

God, this is so sad. The interaction between Al and his brother, though... damn. So real, it hurts.

whoa. wow! This is some powerful stuff! I was completely stunned when I read the part of the first chapter where Riza pleaded with Ed to explain why he killed Mustang. "WTH?!", I thought, "Ed killed Roy?!? Why? They don't usually get along but to go so far as to KILL him?? damn." When I saw that this started right after the Barry the Chopper incident, I was thinking that maybe Barry was the one who had been killed. Maybe, I thought, Ed wanted revenge for all the hell he and Winry had been put thru and went after Barry. Oh how wrong I was! I almost kinda wish that that was the case now after reading the rest of the chapters. Dear gods, Ed is going thru some horrific shit! It kills me the most when he tries again and again to justify and explain away all the shit Roy is doing to him. He is the classic victim. He is a lonely isolated child desperate for someone to understand and love him but he gets this hell instead. The fact that Ed enjoys being touched like that just breaks my heart. His innocence is being violated in so many ways. That group of men in the apartment building lobby were just disgusting - vulgar, lecherous, filthy pervs. Roy's no better making Ed think that he owes him for each and every little piece of information Roy gives him. *wry smile* I don't think I'll be able to look at my Hermaphrodite doujinshi the same way ever again! :) (FYI - The Hermaphrodite doujinshi series involves Roy making Ed earn leads for the philosopher's stone by having sex with him. Ed, at first, is a somewhat reluctant participant {I think he has a crush on Roy} only going along with it to get those leads {just as your Ed is doing} but later on he becomes quite willing and eventually falls in love with Roy. As I can't read Japanese, this is just my interpretation of the pictures. The artwork is quite lovely. But I digress. The main differences between the doujinshi and this story are that Ed appears to be older, at least of the age of legal consent, and he is a willing participant actively seeking Roy's company.) But enough about that. It brings tears to my eyes every time Roy calls Ed filthy names and makes him beg to be touched. Pedophiles get off on having power over another. bastards. Roy did earn a small bit of sympathy from me when you mentioned that he was abused by his parents. That doesn't justify his actions but it does help to explain them. He needed help long ago but didn't get it and now he is continuing the vicious cycle of violence. so sad. I did cry (again! :D) when in chapter 6 Ed and Al were arguing and Ed, feeling the stress of everything, wondered, "Didn’t anyone notice? Didn’t anyone care?" and then later fell asleep in Al's lap. very sweet! Ya know, in some crazy illogical way, this child molestation stuff could explain Ed's reckless behavior in the anime. Did dearest daddy Hohenhiem do something to Ed that would make Ed hate him as much as he does? If so, it could explain Ed's not getting along with Roy and his dislike of any and all authority figures. *smiles* Like I said, crazy and illogical, not to mention a HUGE stretch of the imagination! :)
Sorry this long review rambled all over the place! That's what happens when you come in late to a story! so much to say! :D
Update soon! (Is it a good thing or a bad thing to want to read more of Ed's suffering? Either way, Roy's upcoming death will be a trial in and of itself! Nobody's coming away from this God-awful nightmare unscathed. *cries*)

Did I say that I love you yet? Good bajesus you had me crying!! Poor Edward... I can just... Poor Edward!! And Alphonse doesn't know a thing. I bet he does feel dirty, very dirty. And probably even more guilty... because he believes it's his fault, that he HAS to do this.
I love this still, so much! It's one of my favorite stories, even though it's very sad. I still support what you are doing, no matter what!! So please continue when you find the time and I'll be waiting!

*sniff* It's mean to say but I really, really hate this story. And I can't resist reading it whenever it pops up. Very well written, a solid grasp of Ed's feelings and we see Roy's too, I just hate to see them both hurt like that. And Al, trying to figure out what's wrong so he can help.

I've been reading this story all along, but am unfortunately so lazy that I don't often review... ::grins sheepishly:: um, love your story, tho afterwards I generally hafta find some comedy to get myself un-depressed... I like how Ed's outlook and reactions to Mustang are finally shifting a little more. I was also wondering, how long is this story gonna be? thankies
