Wow! Great chapter. I've had a growing feeling that Rose is Dante, and this chapter made me more certain. I'll have to wait and see, won't I?

The way you write the twins makes them very real. You're not afraid to have them be irritating and unlikable at times. They drive the adults around them crazy, just as every other teenager has since time began, rather than being abnormally perfect. And Aideen acting out by seeking sex where she could find it also seems in character for a deeply disturbed adolescent. She's lucky that it was with someone that cares for her like Philip, but the poor boy is going to be hurt. I feel sorry for him, having to defend himself against two sets of parents.

I'm worried about Wrath, but I know he's hard to kill. (I can't say I'm upset about Tucker, though.) And I'm happy to see Hohenheim stepping up and protecting Riza. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Don't forget that dante is gonna be using strong perfume to cover the smell of rotting(least if I remember thats why she used it).

GUH! Your going after Alter!Roy's family aren't you? You are SOOOOOO! evil with what you did to Aideen! You are SOOOOOOOO! mean to us Fletcher/Aideen fans by giving Aideen's virginity to Phillip! Garh! And still you torment us with your terribly, seamingly, complicated, plot which you parcel out a tiny bit at a time! Grrrrrrr!

Dammit! *bangs fists on desk with each word* Dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit!! Eckhart's found Riza and the twins and plans to use them to force Roy to open the Gate! Oh shit! A terrible thought just hit me! She's not planning on using them for the blood sacrifice to open the Gate is she? Oh hell's bells man! I can't take it! I wouldn't put it past her. There's nothing too depraved this psycho bitch wouldn't do.

Why didn't Roy or Ed notice Aideen's burned clothes? The ashes were right there in her room while they were yelling at her. Maybe they were too furious to notice. Even if they didn't notice the burned clothes, surely one of them is bound to discover that her favorite pieces of clothing are missing and that's sure to raise a yellow flag that something DID happen while she "roamed the streets for a while" - like a dog in heat I might add. pish. whatever. Lying comes too easily to this girl. A good little actress indeed! Her weird manic behavior is really starting to grate my nerves. If I didn't know better, I'd swear she was possessed and I don't mean by Dante this time! :) Lord, I hope I wasn't this big of a pain when I was her age! Oh, and you won't be a bit surprised by this, I'm relieved that Ed repaired the coat! :D I'm manic over that thing aren't I? :P The part where Nicholas wondered if Aideen's alchemy would be used for good or bad worries me.

"Ed could feel his husband patting his hair, almost as though he was petting charcoal." ?? Petting charcoal?? What does that mean? I love the phrase "Lord love a duck"! I have a friend who uses that phrase a lot and I died laughing when I saw you use it! The whole scene with Frank and Kain was funny! pink oboe! pink cigar! ROFL Where did you find these great slang terms? funny!! :D Roy's automail eye getting stuck. *snerk* Now that made me want to laugh and feel sorry for him all at the same time! poor guy! :) Nothing but love, Roy, nothing but love! :) *shivers* EW! Russell must lose the goatee asap! yuck yuck yuck! It's just me and I know it weird but I absolutely can not STAND facial hair!!! *retches* I don't think Roy particularly cares whether or not Fletcher has a backbone and will stand his ground because he doesn't want Aideen to be with him to begin with.

Oh shit! No fucking way!! :D whoa. I don't know which part knocked me for a loop the hardest - Aideen cussing at Ed (Oh no you didn't! Yeah, I'da slapped her li'l ass too! Actually, she'da prolly earned herself a good old-fashioned ass-whupping!! LOL), her shredding the coat (NOOOOOOOOO!!! *sobs uncontrollably*), or her out catting around with damn Phillip (Aideen, have you lost your damned mind?!?)!! WTF is going on with her?!?! daaaaamn. I'm glad that Fletcher turned her down. Good for him! He's not a lecherous pervert after all! Just don't expect me to be cheering for Fletcher/Aideen anytime soon. *scratches head* I don't see it but I'm working on it. :) Although I was ready to kill Fletcher on the spot for saying all those snarky things to Roy (Mind your manners, boy! *glares at Fletcher* Don't you be smarting off to your betters! Don't make me put you on my unredeemable list! :D), he at least had the decency not to use her like that. I'm not the least bit surprised that a hormone raging teenage boy jumped at the chance for some free booty tho. Phillip, blecch. I guess it was inevitable that when Aideen finally broke out of the funk she was in that she'd do it in a grand fashion and boy has she ever!! I don't know where you're going with this but I can't wait to find out! Oh, about Frank and Kain adopting an older child *grins*, yep, that's me, Captain Obvious! XD Leave it to me to point out what's right in front of me! :P

A small part of me wants to be mad at Fletcher for wanting a sixteen year old girl but I have to laugh at myself for that because I can't justify it! Talk about your double standard!! XD I certainly had no problem with Roy and Ed being together, practically begged for it in fact!, but Fletcher and Aideen, eh, not so much. There is the small comfort that Fletcher hasn't acted on his growing attraction to her and seems quite well aware of the consequences of his actions (i.e. Roy's wrath) and the boundaries of their relationship. He's trying to be a gentleman (inspite of his lecherous brother's influence) and maintain the student/teacher situation - for now anyway. I gotta give him credit for that at least. It is cautionary credit however because I'm not yet willing to give this would-be romance its due. I can't help but wonder if Aideen's attraction to Fletcher is just infatuation or a crush of some sort. It's not like it's a first love kind of thing since she's had a boyfriend already. Does she really love him or is she just drawn to him because of his alchemic ability and the knowledge and skills he provides? Does she like him for who he is or for what he can do for her? Is she really attracted to older men just like her daddy? *grins* Of all the things she inherited from Ed why this particular quirk? LOL! I am reminded of that song from The Police, "Don't Stand So Close to Me". "Young teacher the subject Of schoolgirl fantasy" "This girl is half his age" Granted he's not the shaking coughing perv of the song nor is she a lusting Lolita but parts of it fit. Anyway, my point is that even though they are attracted to one another now, I just don't see anything long term coming from it. I could be wrong and I often am but that's my two cents.

Russell's not completely unredeemable (yet anyway) but he is a royal pain sometimes. How in the world Wrath went from sweet gentle loving Edward to perverted raunchy uninhibited Russell is beyond me! :) Speaking of uninhibited, Nicholas is the king of it! :D All that stuff Roy did in his younger days is coming back on him! They always say that you will get back all the hell you caused others thru your kids - only much worse! :) Frank was forgiven for his actions against Roy because he didn't do it with malice. He wanted to prove a point but chose a rather drastic way to do it. I was mad at him for a while but I understood why he did it. He'd still make a good dad. If midnight feedings and diaper changes and chasing after a toddler are too much for them, why don't they try to get an older kid? One that's past all that stuff. Have they tried an international adoption? They've scoured all of Amestris so why not look at getting a kid from Creta? or Xing even? just a thought. How the hell is Dante able to just walk right into any major event that's been and not be noticed?? This is driving me insane!! Who's coal black and emerald green eyes does she fear? Russell has green eyes but I can't remember if Wrath's are black or not. I don't even wanna think about who or what this blood sacrifice thing will be! I HATE YOU DANTE!!!! grr!!!!

even though this part of your story is outlasting the first part....its still wonderful to read....
although i must say...i was desperately hoping it would be fletcher that she did the deed with...not philip...i dont know why...but for some reason i cant stand him....*shrugs*....when i read the 'het lemon' of your note...i was like 'yay! fletcherxaideen'...but then i realised...no....aideen..and philip?..wtf?
o well....poor aideen....you definitely have to feel for her....(and ed too)....
i truly desire for aideen and fletcher to be together....im dying to know what will happen in the next chapter!!! ^.^

Wow! Two awsome chapters! Lots of emotion, lots of angst. I'm just sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what Dante is up too! I'm just amazed at how you keep all the couple's children straight! That extra demention that the children add to the story is really wonderful.

I love that Russel is finally treating Wrath the way he deserves and Kain and Frank are just so cute! You've made me just fall in love with Kain! I adore him! *Snuggles Kain, dodges Frank's bullets*

Your plot is sheer torture! Just waiting to see what's happening, trying to figure out what face Dante is wearing is the most frustrating of all!

But atleast you gave us a bit of Fletcher/Adieen! Poor Papa Roy and his love handdles! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Whoa! That was one hell of a fight between the twins! :) ""This wasn’t a spar," [Nicholas] said, dark eyes cold." Oh snap!! :D It probably helped them work thru some stuff more than all that crap the therapist was going on with. These are Ed's kids after all. Ed and Al always bonded and expressed themselves best when they sparred so a good fight between Aideen and Nicholas is the best kind of therapy for them if you ask me. It works that way with most siblings. It was for me and my brother that's for sure! You clobber each other (hopefully not drawing blood) yelling and screaming all the while, get all the raw pent-up emotions out of your system, and then you calm down and are able to be rational and see each other's point of view. Exhaustion and bruises aren't the only things you end up with after a big row like this! :) You are able to meet on middle ground and have a better relationship for it. We probably drove our mom insane but she knew it was best to just let us get it out of our systems and work it out amongst ourselves. :) It is worse with teenage angst running rampant I suppose. Gotta love those raging hormones! :) Ed shouldn't worry too much. These little hellions will eventually grow out of this demon stage they're in! :) All kids fight but time and maturity changes everything. I do think Aideen is faking it somewhat because she's smart enough to know how to work this woman to her benefit. (For some reason, the name Zacharias is very familiar to me but I don't know why. weird.) Nicholas definitely has some rage issues going on but at what I'm not sure. Aideen knows how to push his buttons and set him off (every child knows how to drive their sibling(s) crazy!) but I don't think she's the root of his problems. I blame Dante. (ROFL!!! Like you didn't see that one coming! Everything's her fault!! XD)

The only people permanently in my "unredeemable category" are Dante, Eckhart, and Hohenheim. blecch. *wipes off tongue* Three disgusting things at once. nasty! *shudders* :) Russell is on the temporary list but he will go permanent if he doesn't get his act together! ;) I'm not sure why Ed chose to get in the middle of their relationship. Doesn't he have enough to contend with with the twins? You made me smile when Wrath compared Fletcher to Edward. I don't know why but I still have this big soft spot for Edward. Just mentioning him gets me all maudlin. Years may have passed for the characters but not so for this little emotional basket case! XD I'm still in mourning dammit! Leave me alone! *pouts* Dramatic much? LOL!!

Kain should accept the fact that he and Frank aren't going to be parents. It's sad and I hate to say but it's true. Maybe Fate will surprise them and give them a kid but it's not looking good. I doubt it. damn. I feel bad for them. Frank would make an awesome dad! :) Kain's trying too hard. Some things can't be rushed. If it's not meant to be then it's not meant to be. When Russell asked Kain if he had a deadline or something it made me think of a woman trying to beat her biological clock! :) Which is what he's doing! Trying to get a kid before Frank turns 50? Uh, yeah, too much pressure. Release and let go, Kain! :)

Munich. The mere sight of that word makes my blood pressure shoot thru the roof because it means that that G#######d (Oops! Can't break a Commandment! :D) fucking Eckhart bitch is around! GRRRRRRR!! I think I beat a new dent in my desk when she threatened Mustang's kids!! Oh no she didn't!! I couldn't care less if Tucker gets thrown to the serpent or not but I will become ten kinds of irate she does anything to Mustang or Nicholas and Aiden!!! grrr! I knew Mustang would prove to be a powerful alchemist! Consider carefully my dearest Mustang! I believe in you!! :) You have no idea how much I'm hoping that he and Hohenheim will find a way to stop Eckhart and Dante! (Hohenheim? helpful?? What am I saying?!?! XD) A few months until the Gate opens. *shivers* My blood just ran cold. @_@

P.S. Last review I wanted to cast my vote for 30+ Ed being Amestris' Sexiest Man (or whatever it was called) but now I realize that that wasn't fair to my beloved Roy. I'm sorry Roy. Forgive me. Ed's a hottie but you have always been THE Sexist Man, period, the end! :) Like the song says, "I will always love you"! Can I change my vote now? LOL!
P.P.S. I like the names Flint and Charcoal for the pets! cute!

*sniff* Roy visiting Maes' grave got me all misty-eyed. The line, "Nicholas is, well, every curse my mother threw at me to be ‘blessed’ with a child like me. Plus he’s Ed, too, if you can only imagine.", made me laugh! :) I can't count the times that particular "blessing" has been bestowed upon me! It's sweet that even after all this time Roy still has Maes to go to talk out his problems. "Thanks for listening like always." damn. *wipes tear from cheek* How do you always manage to pull on my heartstrings like you always do? such sweet torture! :) It does sadden me terribly that Aideen has become so morose. In light of everything that's happened she has every right to be depressed tho. I hope it doesn't last too much longer - I don't know if I can take it! It's just upsetting to watch it happen and not be able to help. (Jeez, I make it sound like these are real live people don't I? :) Just goes to show how realistic you've made 'em!)

Hohenheim is trying to redeem himself but, for me, he's got a looooong way to go. I like the phrase "a lost cause for pity". That fits. I do have little sympathy for him and, as I've said before, I can hold a grudge like nobody's business. So, yeah, it's damn near impossible to say anything nice about him or look kindly upon him. Maybe I'll find the ability to do so later on - when he's dead and it's for his eulogy! MWHAHAHAHA!! :D (I'm so bad!!)

*sigh* Russell's losing points with me by harassing Fletcher like that. big asshole indeed!! Am I the only one who believes that Fletcher isn't romantically interested in Aideen? Sure he cares about her, just not like that. *sigh* Maybe if at some point in time later on Aideen indicated she was interested in Fletcher something could come of it but I just don't see it happening. Raine is right that she is old enough to be Fletcher's mother. She's 49, he's 27. Numbers don't lie kiddo. Raine is definitely old enough! :) Also, I'd like to volunteer to slap some sense into Falman's daughter and offer her a big glass of get-the-hell-over-yourself. I hate petty people.

Let's see. Who's left. hmm. Kain and Frank. I wish 'em luck adopting a kid. stupid picky Ishballans. You'd think they'd be glad to have a kid find a home. whatever. Phillip. no comment. Ed and Al. *big grin* I would like to cast my vote for Ed being "Amestris's Most Sexy Man"!!! w00t!! 30+ Ed is droolicious!! XD Sorry, Al, you're cute and all but Ed is just too damn sexy for his own good!! mm-mm-mm! :) I do so love watching Ed and Al work together to solve the problem of the Gate! It reminds me of when they were searching for the stone - Ed and Al against the world! I know a lot of what they're doing now happens off camera so to speak but it's nice to see them working together again side by side just like old times! (I'm getting sentimental in my old age! XD) ""Brother?" Al put an arm around Ed’s shoulders. "Brother, are you okay? Is it your head again?" "No, Al, it’s my ankle, that’s why I’m rubbing my temples."" Ah! Happy B-day, Nicholas and Aideen! Like the chapter says, it has to get better. Soon, I hope! I can hardly believe they're 16 already! *sniff* They grow up so fast! :) Nicholas driving. Now there's a scary thought! @_@
