Hi!
I just came across your story and I really like it very much.
I'm really happy for Goku that he slowly starts to um ... heal (? - please excuse a poor girl whose mothertongue was unfortunately NOT English) and I am really looking forward to reading how Vegeta will make his fears go away *cheers them on while waving a 'Go Goku'n'Veggie'-Flag*
I like reading stories with a bit (or a bit more) angst ^^, although I'm a hopeless Happy-End-Lover :)

I hope you'll update soon, I'm looking forward to reading the next chapters.

PS: I've always wondered why you say angst (so the german word) to a fearful story - I somehow couldn't help but notice as my REAL mothertongue (which sadly isn't English) is German :)

I am really impressed with this story. I haven't read a DBZ fanfic in ages and I decided that I wanted to get back into it. Sadly to say I was little disappointed with some of the stories that I read here so far, but when I started reading your story I couldn't stop reading. I love how you developed the plot and I can't wait to see what happens to Goku and Vegeta in the end. Keep writing.

OMG I will come and take your finals for you, no promises on passing though lol, if it means a new chappie sooner. hehehe, me like a cocky Vegeta hehehe. Obviously Goku has some issues that need to be worked out, and I'm sure Vegeta will be a GREAT help hehe. Look forward to the next chappie!

Hello there!!! What's shaking, Ms. Amazing? And by that I mean, what's going on with this wonderful fic here? I am dying for you to update and can't wait for more. You're very funny. I love your silliness through it all, even on the particularly distressing topic of Goku selling his body to support his demon bitch wife's gold-digging habit. Here are some of my favorite quotes that had me rolling with laughter:

Goku glared at her. “You have a source of income. I suggest you put on something nice and hit the city streets. Prime hours are between nine and eleven. Have fun.”

Vegeta looked back at his companion with a hint of amusement on his face. “Baka. I visited the woman’s wallet before we left. It’s covered.”

...among others.

Thanks for writing such a nice fic, I most certainly look forward to more when you can update and hope that the next chapter is as good as the last.

I love this story sooo much! It is so rare to find a good yaoi DBZ fic, especially one with my favorite pairing (Vegeta/Goku). Usually when people write them they make them into completely mindless, lustful people incapable of even using correct grammar when they converse with one another. I am so pleased with this ("A New Life") because it has a lot of heart and it shows sides of the characters that we are only given brief glimpses of in the show. I love the tense but loving relationship between Goku and Vegeta and you have done an excellent job of capturing that here. By the description I thought the story would be stupid, but something told me to give it a chance--and I am so glad that I did! The plot is actually wonderfully exacted, and the story itself is very well written. I did think there was some character-bashing going on with Chichi and I don't necessarily agree with that--I certainly don't like the woman, and I think there's a small possibility that she might actually stoop as low as she does in this story, but still, I think if that were to happen she would be a little more clever and manipulative rather than outright abusive all the time. Calling him a filthy monkey seemed a little bit unrealistic; I think Chichi does love Goku in her own way although she definitely doesn't treat him right, and I can't ever see her going so far as to direct such hatred and disdain toward the one she fought so hard to marry in the first place. Everything else though is beautifully done and I am really loving where you're going with this. Please update soon! Thanks. ^_^
