Wow, this story seems interesting! And your using the DBGT timeline instead of the Z timeline which is great. It adds to the effect. ^-^

Oh, wow, thank you Asper! Wonderful comments, even the pointers on details and the added knowledge my characterization is getting better are greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't say that I am not writing DBZ any more - just that inspiration/muses were on vacation. (Really? How to top a novel?) I've got a cute/fuzzy story that's been in the works since I started writing Spiral. (It was my therapy story for when things went too far in Spiral.) I've got two epics to write, one an incest and another a crossover, both of which will never see the fandom light of day, and am currently working on a challenge fic. (Thank goodness my muses appreciate good challenges.)

Anyway, I could go on and on about me. :P I just want to let you know I appreciate the review, even if it did come at a rather unexpected time!

I apologize for being... *checks watch* 11 months late to review this, but hey. Better late than never, right?

I loved Idomu. I loved it so much that I just couldn't stop reading it, and stayed up for hours doing so. The plot was intricate and rich, not necessarily for the primary arc alone, but considering the details you put into it. You really got into each character's mind – the scientist, the hungry concubine, the prince, the bitter sergeant – in a way I have NEVER seen in any other fanfiction. Situations were well orchestrated and carefully executed, and the story was clearly planned well from the beginning. Your level of description was occasionally a bit less than the ideal, but I cannot recall a time when your description become tiresome, which is worse :P. Additionally, the story was a testament to the unrivaled sense of *consequence* that you possess. Where other fics tend to sugar coat or forget the bitter/negative after effects of extra-marital affairs or hopeless situations, you seem to have a firm grasp of character psychology. It was a novel, and a really good one at that: exciting, vibrant, clear, and rich.

The sex was great too *goofy grin*. To be honest, I didn't even like the pairings at a conceptual level, but the execution was such that the story made me like it, much like Spiral and Jaded made me appreciate the events even though they didn't sit well with me.

I especially liked the way your characterization has improved from your earlier work – reactions to consequences in secondary characters made more sense in Idomu, and even Chi-Chi's sad realization at the end of chapter 13 made much more sense (and was more poetic) than Bulma's realization in Jaded. Everything was just so well planned; I forgot I was reading a fanfiction, especially a yaoi. It is truly an impressive work.

You deserve many more reviews than you have received. This is truly a must-read in its genre. I know you've stopped writing DBZ fics, but I thought you deserved to know that you're #1 on my recommended reading list. Your stories are epic, never stop writing!

Amazing!
I was worried Gohan wouldn't be able to go back, and at the right time. Have a soft-spot for Radditz, he was underused in the series.
Glad Vegeta and Goku got together in the end, and Chi-chi actually encouraging Goku was a pleasant surprise, that doesn't happen often.
Will definitely be looking out for your next story.

*LEAP TWIRL LAND* XD Huzzah! I'm so glad your beta threatened you to write an Epilogue. Tee hee. A very nice story indeed. ^_^ Hopefully you are planning some other fanfictions... Anywho, I'm glad I was able to make you smile in my last comment.

Well. After squealing, rolling around on the ground, convincing my parents I did not need psychological treatment, and cackling like a madwoman... I have concluded this is one of the best DBZ fanfics I have ever read. You really keep the characters in check, personality-wise, which is hard for many other authors to do. I hope to see some updates soon! :3

Oh. And by the way, despite what some comments have stated, I believe you're still an excellent writer. :3 Don't let them get you down. Just remember some funny and useful quotes to turn that frown, upside down!

"Any reviewer who expresses rage and loathing for a novel is preposterous. He or she is like a person who has put on full armor and attacked a hot fudge sundae." --Kurt Vonnegut

"Any fool can criticise, condemn, and complain - and most fools do." --Dale Carnegie

:3 Just some little somethings to make you feel better. And if those quotes don't, then perhaps this one will:

Malcolm: God creates dinosaurs. God destroys dinosaurs. God creates man. Man destroys God. Man creates dinosaurs...
Ellie: Dinosaurs eat man. Woman inherits the earth. ~Jurassic Park
