Just read the first three chapters and I think you are off to a good start. Would like to see where you go with this. I like how you are showing people and their emotions first and working up to the rest of it.

*applauds* I like this a lot! I can't wait to see how Al plans on getting these two together. Not an easy task! :) Poor Ed. Roy's little comment about his pouty lips has him all messed up. If Roy hadn't teased him so much over the years it'd be a lot easier for him to think that Roy might actually care about him. Makes me think of the quote "you only hurt the one you love". I guess then that all of Roy's short jokes were his way of saying I love you. And maybe the pouty lips comment meant I really do love you. Who knows? It's possible. ;)
