What an angsty, yet sweet story. The ending was perfect, with Goku contemplating where their relationship would go, but happy to just be loved and to be able to return that love.

Beautiful, simply beautiful. The conflict of emotions and realization of the unknown bond that Vegeta felt, together with the cluelessness of Goku and his fear of revealing his feelings, of being rejected and even disgust at himself, were all written wonderfully.

If this is a prequel I hope you are going to post the other fic as I'd love to read it.
