I just loved this story. Really beautiful and very true to canon. You do an amazing job articulating the feelings that we all know Goten must have for his father. And you do a great job describing Goku as we all know that he is. A brilliant scene that Toriyama left out, but you did justice to nicely :)

I really enjoyed reading this. It explains so much and certainly, with Goku's track record and the curse Goten has of looking exactly like his father, I think your explanation fits to a tee. I appreciate that you worked hard to show both Trunks and Goten's special bond as friends, and how deeply Trunks cares for the other to the point of finding someway to make him stand out from his father. This was exceptionally written and one of the best one shot Trunks/Goten stories I've read in a while.

I really liked this fic. I enjoyed the attention to detail and how nicely this fits into the anime; the way you wrote it, combined with precisely what took place, made me believe that this actually happened. The story is lucid yet minimalist, a difficult balance to strike that you accomplish beautifully.
In a longer fic, though, you might need a bit more description than this. In fics like this, little = good, because it's important not to reveal what's going on until it's actually happening, but things might be different if this were longer. The characters and their movements were well defined (I especially like your view of Goku, I TOTALLY agree), but what things looked like, time of day, etc. were kinda unclear.

It made me smile :]. Keep up the good work!
