That not true Duo Maxwell did have purpose at the end of war. He went with Hilde in the scrape yard business and live any ordinary life.
So dear author :angel, Duo did have purpose in this story to move forward in life.

I love it when authors bite back. Good for you; as a reader people need to understand that they contribute next to nothing to the community yes its great to encourage someone by saying good job. However they have no right to put down someone else's hard work. If you don't like it don't read it it isn't like you have a knife to you forcing you to push the link. One of my favorite responses from an author was something along the lines of "chapter 16 to tell me that you don't like the pilots being gay I mean It was apparent both in the first 15 chapters and the warning moron". I myself don't write but a few attempts shows how hard it can be to follow an idea through. I have read stories that place the boys in just about every role imaginable and I for one can certainly see this happening if nothing else ever hear of PTS. I mean settling into a normal life would be rather difficult under the best of circumstances for them and Duo hardly has the background to allow for that as you pointed out. Ah well I still haven't figured out what I feel toward this story but that is mostly because I want to see where it is going so far you mostly just have the backstory set up in my eyes I look forward to hearing more from you and good job on the rant.

I like your story and I hope it has a happy ending. I would also like to say that no body has the right to tell you how a story should go. This is your story and you can write it any way you choose. Heck, you could turn all the characters into water buffaloes and no one should say anything. Try not to take other peoples rude opinions to heart.

As an author who writes a lot of dark stuff and gets dumb reviews for content all the time, I have this to say: it is very plausible that at the end of the war, Duo would return to the world he has always known. Maybe he wasn't a whore or drug addict when he was living on L2, but he was probably familiar with it and after the war, it isn't hard to see how he might fall. Are you saying that all whores and drug addicts are morons? Why don't you go to ff.net and defend Duo's intelligence to all the annoying 13 year old author's who love to betray him as a vapid, giggling idiot who is only involved in the war because he likes making things go 'boom', totally ignoring his episode zero? To the author: I really like how dark this story is without being a Duo-bashing fic. I look forward to the next chapter.

After hearing you rant about that comment you got for the last few days, I'm glad you finally wrote a reply back to them to show them up.

And honestly, I must say, if anyone is a big GW fan they would have read Episode Zero, which explains so much that isn't explained in the rest of the series.
I just think there is too many ignorant people who want sunshine and rainbows in all their stories.
perhaps they are hormonal, angsty teens who think life is like that.
Haha oh I can't wait until they become adults and realize life is actually a bitch.

And this story, to me, I can see Heero and Duo being like that... and not gonna lie, I love an angsty asshole Heero. but you know how I am.
You know I love Heero no matter what.
Hopefully the bastard gets Duo to straighten up and realize he can rely on his friends, that it's not a weakness to rely on your friends.... wait, but then Heero would have to realize that too.

Poor Duo... will he become addicted? I hope not... it's a sad thing to see...
And I wonder what's heero's problem... does he loves duo? is his love sick enough to let him do the things he does with duo? maybe it is... and I really want to find out.
