The exact moment I knew I was going to love this is when Vegeta pulled that hair out of Bulma's mouth. There is definitely a lot of presence, of consideration, and self-reflection going on here where all of the characters are really thinking and growing rather than moving on from one event to another. It's like a hot summer where all you can hear for your thoughts are the cicadas and time flows like warm molasses, and you never know if you need it to be faster or slower. That's a pretty heady mix to capture and a lot of depth of interaction between living characters. Quite a feat indeed.

Very nice story. Like the sad and thoughtful sides of Vegeta and Goku. Off to the sequel now, as I'm really curious about that! :D

OH MY GOD. THIS FIC. IT IS SO GOOD. SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD *___*
This is exactly what I've been wanting to read between these two, and you nailed it. Their really tentative friendship/rivalry thing giving way to something more, and both of them reacting in a totally in-character manner (Goku! So happy and eager and excited for the next big adventure! And Vegeta being so standoffish and prickly but also ready to see where things lead). And you got the surrounding cast down perfectly as well (I really liked the Bulma and Vegeta interaction, they are a couple I am just as fond of as I am the main pairing). You did a really nice job creating a very deep level of intimacy between Goku and Vegeta without there being any actual physical intimacy, it was very believable and touching. Thank you so much for writing this! It made my day!!

I love your writing, esp. goku's train of thought. It is so detailed and real. However, in the end his attitude change was a bit fast and abrupt. i.e. suddenly fall in love with Vegeta and ignored chichi. I was a bit disappointed. But all in all a good story.

Well I'm disappointed that Vegeta went back to Bulma but slightly cheered up that they might get together in time.
Now to track down that other story of yours to see if they do :)

This is such an emotional story, i really love how you bringing them together slowly.
But oh no! Bulma wants to get back with him. Hope their new found feelings towards each other will make Vegeta refuse her and choose Goku instead. I see heartache ahead :(
