chapter 7

1. [Trunks awoke to the sound of that voice that was becoming so familiar to him these days. It was low and close to his ear. “My bed comfortable, Sleeping Beauty?”]
You know, I don’t blame Trunks anymore for teasing the crap out of Gohan. Just look at this! –Gohan is begging to be teased! No man can expect to be seen as straight after saying something like this to another male. Poor Videl. She had no idea what she was getting into ^_^

2. [He knew that Trunks and Goten had always been super comfortable with one another, sleeping in the same bed and sprawled all over each other, as if they were still kids. So he figured Trunks was probably used to having someone to curl up to upon waking [...].
Poor oblivious Gohan.

3. "I don't want to be like Videl, kicking you out of your own bed."
Trunks sure is Mr. Subtle. If I were Gohan… Well, yeah, I don’t think I can even compare myself to Gohan… But anyway, the world would be doomed and Trunks would have been Kamehamehaed long ago.

4. [He glanced down at the newspaper again and felt that familiar feeling of jealousy burning in his stomach. Most eligible bachelor? Goten should be so lucky as to be featured in the school paper as the campus's most worthy catch.]
It seems that Goten is jealous. I bet it’s not easy to have a best friend who is Mr. Popularity. Goten must be tired of living in his shadow. On the other hand, the thought about Trunks being the interest of so many potential lovers unnerves Goten.

5. Shoes. ^_^ Hell, it’s so childish what Trunks did, but Trunks is childish in a way. Like a royally pissed off child.

Chapter 8

1. [Trunks swallowed loudly. “When there’s no war, I guess,” he muttered, then immediately regretted having answered. If there was one person he should know to hold his tongue around, it was Vegeta. Really, though, what would his father have him eat? The flesh of his enemies?

A second piece of cheese sandwich stuck in his throat. Come to think of it, hadn’t he once heard Vegeta brag about doing just that?]
As said, I am totally enamored of this sentence ^_^ I really am.

2. [“Trouble? Trunks? Oh, no . . . never.” Gohan rolled his eyes, not managing to keep the sarcasm from saturating his tone.]
Hehehehehe

3. [He once heard someone in his high school gym class say that the most intimate contact one could have with another person, short of having sex, was to work out with them. The unwelcome thought entered his mind as his eyes locked with his roommate’s.]
Uh-oh. And then Gohan went to train with Vegeta into the gravity room. Alone.

4. [“I’m sure Videl knows I’m coming and will have saved up several weeks’ worth of nasty comments to unleash on me when I get there. Not to mention . . . .” Well, he really didn’t have to mention his mother. Trunks knew her well enough himself. The teen nodded sympathetically as they rounded the building and entered the lobby.]
[“Videl!” she cooed. “You know you don’t have to knock. You’re family, you silly girl.” Videl looked at her with derision but didn’t say anything. Then her stare came to rest on the eldest boy.]
[“No,” Videl said, not turning around as she exited. Then, at least managing to have some respect for her elders, she added a quick, “thank you” before closing the door.]
[He supposed that when Gohan had lost Videl, Chichi had lost the younger woman’s money and her womb.]

Chichi hater holding out a glass of wine:” Cheers!”
Videl hater clinks their glasses together: “Cheers! Well done!”

5. […]Sinking into the pile of down pillows, he thought of how glorious it would be if the brick wall of Gohan’s resolve ever crumbled and all that passion was allowed to hit him like a tidal wave. Then he smiled to himself. It was bound to happen sooner or later.]
Hell, Trunks is like a cockroach – not even an A-bomb would change his thinking.

Chapter 9

1. [“Why do you wish to leave your present college or university?” he read aloud to himself.

How to explain this one?

He spoke the words aloud as he pecked the corresponding keys. “Goten is fucking some blond tramp.” Trunks looked at the cursor. Yup, that was about right. He tabbed down to the next question.

“Describe your family and its influence on you.”

His fingers moved across the keyboard quickly. “Daddy didn’t hug me enough, and mommy gave me everything I wanted. Do the math.”]
Hahahaha

2.[ So, after some thought, he had decided to surprise his roommate to a home-cooked, sit-down dinner and he was very happy with his plan. It would be the perfect mix of thoughtfulness and effort and Gohan would just have to be floored.]
Trunks is sure trying to prove his point. Just to flatter himself and prove others wrong.

3.[ “Yeah, so you at least have to stay for a half hour or so. You know, make me look good.” He winked.]
Heeeeee ^_^

4. [He stared at the screen in disbelief, a cold feeling of dread settling in the pit of his stomach. He was positive that he had not submitted that application. He never would have done so; not with the things he had written.]
This one has just made me roar with laughter. But hell, Gohan is a klutz! Hahaha Totally didn’t see this coming. I should have, though, hahaha

5. [“Guess who,” he challenged, covering Trunks’ eyes with his hands. Trunks ceased stirring the pot he stood over for a moment and a smile spread across face. “Gohan!”]
And then Trunks turns around and gives him a kiss like a good housewife should :D

6. [ “And where the hell did you learn to dance like that?” he asked softly at Trunks’ ear.]
I swear Gohan is begging to be molested! Acting like this and then playing coy all of a sudden! Either he’s trying to drive Trunks mad or is the most oblivious person in the world. Oh wait, must be Goku’s genes.

Chapter 10

1. [It seemed he was finally going to meet the mystery man that was so much better than him. ]
Thanks for including this. Really. It makes one think that the characters are really thinking and living creatures. Just like us.

2. A lot of self-search going on in this chapter. I think it might be true, Gohan trying to realize himself everywhere just so he wouldn’t need to think about himself.

Chapter 11

1. [“What?” Trunks looked down at his torso. “Oh, you mean this?” Then he looked apprehensively around the room before lowering his voice. “I can’t really talk about it here.”

“Why not?” Sharpener asked anxiously.

Trunks lowered his voice even further until he was whispering, a fearful expression contorting his features. “I don’t want Gohan getting mad. I never know what he’ll do.”]
Hahaahahahahahah Though, I think the guy speeding away in his car was a bit overdone.

2. The entire time Gohan and Trunks were hmm…getting closer, I was waiting for Goten to show up and catch them with their hands read. I mean, Goten knew when and where they were going to help Videl move ^_^ But I bet you’re saving this up for later.

3. Hmm, you know, I realized now that I would be sad if Truanks and Goten would make up. I mean you invested that much in Gohan’s characters. In comparison to his, Goten’s character looks bland, just some insecure teen worried about his sexuality and who has no idea where to stick his dick in. Meanwhile Gohan’s character is fleshed out, he is a mature and responsible adulat albeit with flaws (which actually only add to his fleshed out character making him seem more real), hell I even like his jokes. Hmm…really, Goten has become only a background character. Haaahh, it just shows how much I love the Gohan you created.

I love this story! But I wonder: how Vegeta will react when he finds out that not only is his son gay but was dumped by one of Kakarrot's sons?

I very recently discovered your story but it has been an absolute joy to read the tale you have weaved. This chapter made me a little heart sick. Everyone is aching due to love, ne? But I really loved the moment where Trunks tracked down Gohan and offered his support as a friend only. Shows he's maturing, and that ultimately his motives aren't selfish in his caring for Gohan :) I think Gohan is beginning to see that as well.

And as for Goten, well he seems to be regretting his actions, doesn't he? Despite his new friends who aren't oppressive, he still can't manage to find his independence anywhere lol. All the same, I care for all three characters despite the flaw in some of their actions. I can't wait to see how you manage to give each of them their happy ending :)

Wow....everyone has so many problems in this. But it is very realistic. I hope that Goten and Trunks can still have a friendship once things calm down. They really seem like they compliment each other well, if not as lovers. And Gohan...gee. Poor guy is wound up pretty tight. I am waiting to see when he breaks. It should be a very interesting chapter. At the moment, I really can't stand Videl. What a mean person. She was miserable in her marriage, so she instead of telling the truth, she decided to make Gohan miserable too. I hate people like that. I look forward to the next chapter. As always, your writing is beautiful. I feel as though I am watching the plot unfold in life before me.

I don’t know if you did it conscientiously or not, but the way you highlighted Gohan’s non-confrontational history with Videl put a very good spot light on why he handled the last couple of weeks with Trunks as though nothing had happened. Gohan isn’t a confrontational sort of guy – you have to really stick it in his face before he feels the need to do something about it. I can totally see Gohan wanting to act as though nothing had happened now. :)

Videl – lordy…what was the woman thinking? She’s a bit chicken-shit to use Gohan’s saiyan side against him like that – but yes, I can see her trying to push him until he does something rather than having to be the bad guy herself. Some people are just like that – manipulative for their own needs.

I’m wondering where Goten is going to be when Trunks and Gohan are helping Videl move out.

Veronica...Veronica...I'm HOOKED! I've never been the one to read any DBZ fics, but this one has held my attention...

will trucks finally break through Gohan's emotional walls...will the boys finally make up and become friends again. I hope they do, b/c it just wouldn't feel right without your best friend beside you...:O(

Huh - Kim turned out to be very cool. Too bad she didn't know to keep her mouth shut about socks and roommates.

o.O What was Trunks thinking avoiding Vegeta like that?

Um - this is a big turn around for Gohan. I'm guessing that a week or two avoiding each other has a bit to do with that, but it didn't really shine through all that well.

Still - :P I liked this chapter. I've been waiting for weeks for an update! :P and I am happy with the one we received.

Oh - one other thing I forgot to mention. O.o I wonder if there will be any repercussions for Gohan accidentally sending that application.

Hooray! I was so excited when I saw there was a new chapter! I have already read it four times!

Kim isn't so bad, I guess. Maybe she'll help Trunks foil Goten's wanna-be-straight relationship so that she can have access to her dorm room again.

I have to admit, when I read the part about Goten freaking out over the phone, my first thought was not about Videl. I immediately thought "Uh oh. Goten knocked up his bimbo. THE GLOVE, GOTEN. YOU MUST WEAR IT!"

But I guess that's not it. It's just that Videl again. Foiling Trunks with her ill-timed shenanigans! Get out of his face, woman! He's got no time for your meddling! *shakes my fist*

As for Gohan accidentally sending Trunks' application to Weston, well... er.... they have to appreciate his candor. They probably don't get a lot of applications like that. Good luck, Trunks! Pull those strings, Bulma! *thumbs up*

A lot of tension packed into one chapter.
1. First I liked how Kim got a personality. Trunks actually related to her in a way that was more mature. When he fixed her watch that was a way of showing his growing responsibility.
2. Bulma and Gohan always trying to fix things for Trunks. And he is realizing it now and trying to push back and stop them enabling his dependence on them, however well intended it is.
3. Vegeta's PISSSSED! I can't wait to see how he and Trunks deal with him missing a lunch appointment.
4. The way in which Trunks and Meena interact is also great. He's perfectly bratty and annoying.
5. Gohan and Trunks scene where he cooks dinner. Gohan acknowleging that it was nicer than the suit and Trunks realizing because it was something he didn't just buy but made with his own 2 hands.
6. Gohan's perception of Trunks changing so much and the regret he has being parted from him.
7. The effectiveness of Gohan's reaction to Goten's call. It gave me a great sense of how ballistic Chichi must be going on the other end, and what horror awaits Gohan there.

Can't wait for the next chapter!
