You've done such a great job, I'm so happy you're sticking with Barracks. :)
I'm very curious also about if/how Goten and Trunks will hook up.

I have read this slowly over the course of quite a few weeks and ever since I finished I have been patiently waiting. I don't think I ever left a review, but my neglect was not intentional. I must have wanted to say a thousand things but never quite thought I could properly put it all down, still I don't think I can, but oh well, here I go- the short version:
I had originally avoided this story because it is so long and it caught my eye a little late in the game. Plus, even though I like the pairing of Trunks and Goten it was never my favorite. However, you are one of my favorite authors on this site and that is a big part of why I couldn't resist giving it a try. Once I began to read it, and even though it took some time, I didn't want to stop. After the opening chapter I kept wandering back to read the next one and the next one, until I was officially hooked. I know that it has taken you quite some time to write this and I don't want to rush you. I just wanted to let you know that it is a fantastic story. I am picky, and with this story you have made me quite satisfied. I can't figure out any of your plot twists and the mystery and suspense are killing me. I can see how you've grown as an author and I love it. I hope that you are working on the next installment of this story and I can't wait to see it on the new updates list.

This is so well-written. I am ashamed to even call myself a writer compared to all this creativeness and well-theorized plottiness you've come up with.
I think I know what happened with Kakarot and Chichi: She was probably an earthling who was stationed on Eden, shipped as a slave to the Saiyan race, meets the soldier Kakarot; he realizes the enslaved conditions she's under, feels compassion and liberates her to a remote region of Vegeta-sei to raise his two sons, Gohan and Goten....amiright? :D
I'm so interested in Gohan's "ghost". He's like Goten's spirit guide, but kinda blasé about the whole "time is of the essence" and is a bit of a trickster. What is he? I'm thinking it's Kakarot's adoptive father, Gohan, but you haven't made much mention of the characters' backgrounds. Can't wait to read about them!

This is still one of my favorite stories so when I saw an update, I smiled all morning long! Very interesting chapter that moved the plot along very well.
You brought in all the major players and all that are needed are Vegeta and Trunks. I wonder if Bulma will make another appearance. And this Goku is great. Very serious and yet, knows when to not push the situation. And devious too!! Not often you meet a devious Goku! Thanks again for the great update!

so happy to see the update. I can't wait to see what happens next. I keep thinking Trunks is gonna pop up on the station cause he found out about Goten using his name to go on the mission. can't wait to see the next chapter. as always, keep up the great work.
