Very believable sequence of events there. It was almost like watching the show when Vegeta was so enraged and thinking about the ultimate sacrifice. It was like I could really hear him saying that enough is enough. I also really liked the trapped in a room, kid Vegeta part, kind of creepy but also effective. Im surprised Goku remained as calm as he did throughout the whole thing. It kind of reminded me of another story I read a LONG time ago that I can't quite place, just a feeling to it, but at the same time I've never read anything like that before in regards to these two, and i think it was a very good idea.
On a side note: I expect the cliffhangers now, lol, I'm used to them, they don't bother me.

Oh no, I hate that there has to be sacrifices for them to be together. Poor Vegeta and Goku... you do a good job of showing how much his past affects him, even while still clinging onto his dignity and pride, I always loved that about Vegeta. I do want to see how you wrap up everything with the God of destruction being finally taken out. What a strange turn of events. Im still surprised at the direction you took this story, it's not at all what I thought it would be and that's a good thing. So many things to sort out, so many questions that need answers.

I can't fathom what went wrong at the end. I'm very glad your version of Beerus is dead, but...no. I didn't expect the bond between Goku and Vegeta to be...uh...almost silenced? Not sure how to put it...there, but dormant? I really hope it can be worked past! The next few weeks are gonna drive me nuts.
And Whis...I wonder how he's going to react to this? It's almost crazy he had to go to such lengths to see Beerus replaced. In a way, I don't see why he didn't just inform the Omni-King and beg for Beerus to be replaced. Omni-King doesn't seem to be that busy. Everyone is afraid of him strictly because of his strength than anything else.
I do, however, get it that it is probably in Whis's contract that he is not allowed to either destroy Beerus himself (only stop him from getting out of hand) and he must protect Beerus if necessary...hence, I imagine, why he deliberately put himself out of reach when all this was happening, and was probably praying for it to be over by the time he got there so he didn't have to act in Beerus's favor.
I really do feel sorry for him. I hope that his friendship with Vegeta remains real and he doesn't have to be lonely anymore.
At least in the anime/manga, Beerus has slowly been becoming less of a jerkass god than he was before. He can still be a bit selfish and sneaky though (Ice-Cream Sundae switch, anyone?), but overall...he's different than he was before. I can't see Vados bothering much to teach Champa anything. She likes destroying things herself too much.
I'm sorry for rambling. My face is nearly in my keyboard; I'm so tired! Please, please hurry and finish the next chapter!!!
