Chapter 1: Dreams and Jade Amora
Heero has a dream that leaves him with an unexplainable uneasy feeling. Duo drives to work. Lady Une introduces them to a new Preventer, Jade Amora.
Disclaimer: I in no way own Gundam Wing. If I did, do you think I would be posting this here instead of turning it into a real episode. Unfortunately, I do notown them, but so so many others, I just want to play with them for a little while. Do not sue, I am a harmless dillusional person who wishes she was an anime character. You will not get anything but a sock from me, and I don\'t even own that.
Notes: The characters in this story that do not belong to Gundam Wing are mine or basic ideas created by my friends that I fleshed out.
This is a yaoi fanfic even if the yaoiness doesn\'t appear until later. Duo and Heero, Quatre and a. a. Right now, things aren\'t bad, but there will be violent parts, sex, possible rape, and other such horrors as I think them up. I will try to put a warning on each chapter. If I happen to miss a warning, please contact me so I can fix it.
Shout out: Thanks to all my beta readers. Becca and Marle are lifesavers. I don\'t know which flavor, but they are the best. Thanks also to those who gave me ideas throughout my writings. I will try to mention you all.
Chapter 1:eamseams and Jade Amora
“Please, Evan, I beg you, don’t do this. You can’t. It isn’t right.”
“Kattie, please, I have no other choice. I am doing this to protect you and our child.”
Evan went over to hug Kattie. They had been married for less than a year now. Many people frowned on the young couple who were barely over eighteen. They married at seventeen when Kattie discovered she was pregnant. For this, many felt the marriage would fail.
But Evan ignored them. He knew he wanted to marry Kattie from the first moment he saw her. He had purchased a ring before he found out that the woman of his dreams was pregnant. He had wanted to wait until they had turned eighteen to propose. Oh well. He loved his family.
At eighteen, the two had finished growing in height. They had yet to lose all of their childish looks. He was pushing six feet while she stayed at five feet seven inches. His black hair was cut short. Her light broair air hung loose to her waist. His amber eyes and her green eyes usually danced with laughter, but right now hers hardened in anger while his dulled in despair.
She pulled out of his arms and opened her mouth to shout at him. She would never get the chance. Pounding at the door made them whirl towards it.
“Open up. It is the Alliance Military Police. You are under arrest!”
“Shit! Kattie,” Evan rushed into his son’s room reappearing seconds later with son son wrapped in a bundle of covers, “take him and run.”
Kattie shook her head, “No, Evan, what about you?”
“I will distract them while you get away.”
“No!” Kattie flung herself into Evan’s arms, “I am not leaving without you!”
Evan hugged his wife and child close. He could feel the tears stinging his eyes, but he refused to let them fall. He had to be strong. With his mouth near Kattie\'s ear he began to whisper as he placed her hand over his heart.
“One beat, one hearte soe soul. We will never be apart for I am you and you are me, now and forever. Remember that always, Kattie. Now think of our son. One of us must get him out of here. Please Kattie.”
With the last words of their wedding vows, Kattie began to softly sob. Evan was right. Nothing could separate them. She had to get her child out of danger and this was the best way.
“Now run, Kattie, please.”
“I love you,” she whispered and with a last kiss she ran, escaping her apartment withir oir only child.
But the poor woman could not run fast enough to drown out the noise of the door being destroyed. Evan’s shouting voice and the gunshots would forever remain with her, but she kept running.
She hugged her son close as she ran. “I swear,” she whispered, “that the bastards that took my husband away from me will pay. I will become strenouenough to kill all that are responsible for my pain.” She glanced down at her child who was miraculously still asleep. “For our pain.”

The harsh sunlight annoyed the half asleep teen. With a groan he flipped onto his stomach and buried his head into his pillow.
The teen suddenly darted up, his eyes wildly searching for the traitorous alarm clock that was supposed to have waken him.
“Damnit,” he softly swore. The alarm clock was not the traitor. It had gone off. He must have slept right through it and the alarm clock, angry at him for not waking, ran its course and shut itself off.
How was that possible? He was usually up before his alarm went off, and he had never slept through it. ‘It must be the weird dream. That must be the cause of it.’
Heero could not explain it, but the dream had left him with a weird feeling. It was almost like he should know the people in his dream. ‘Heero, snap out of it. It is just a dream.’
With the chilling feeling that always comes with eyes brushing over one’s body had his hand creeping on its own accord under the covers that were still wrapped around his body from his time of slumber. His slender fingers wrapped around a very familiar object. An almost inaudible sigh escaped his lips. The cool metal was an old, trusted friend. He flipped off the safety while pretending to be ignorant of the fact that he was not the only soul in the room.
He waited for the intruder to make his next move. Doubt crept into his mind as he could still feel the presence but the person did nothing. With a strangled cry, Heero was tackled back to his bed. A weight continued to bounce on his back, the gun quickly forgotten in his frustration at the childish antics.
“Come on, Heero! It is time to get up. We are going to be late for work and for once it it myt my fault!”
Duo stopped his boun to to look down at Heero, his pla planted in the pillow. Duo jumped off Heero and out of the ex-pilot’s reach lest he think of retaliating. Heero propped himself up on his elbows turning his head to peer at Duo. In all of Duo’s childish behavior Heero’s bed cover had slipped down leaving the top of Heero’s tanned cheeks bare. Duo saw this and busted out laughing.
“I never thought you were the type to sleep commando like, Heero. A sexy picture in the morning. Maybe I should invite Princess over in the mornings. She would love this.”
Heero growled in disgust and anger, “Get out!”
Duo took on an air of someone being wrongfully accused of something. “Fine, Heero. I just thought you would like someone to get you up so we could at least make an appearance at work so Une-chan would not completely kill us. Geeze.” Duo waltzed out of the room continuing to mutter about how ungrateful Heero was being, and how Heero might want to look into taking some Midol.
Heero’s frustration was not about Duo’s childish behavior. Nor was it about Duo’s comment on his sleepwear or lack thereof. His frustration stemmed from two things. One was that he was going to be late for work. The second was Duo’s comment on Relena. Why did everyone assume he and Relena were dating? The girl was just not his type. To tell the truth, Heero was not even sure he had a type.
Heero shook his head. ‘Boy, you better stop musing over stupid shit and get ready for work. Lade ise is going to kill you.’
With that Heero got out of bed.
******
“DUO! SLOW THE FUCK DOWN!”
Duo could barely hear Heero, much less the angry car horns of pissed off drivers above the Heavy Metal music he was blaring even with the windows rolled down. Duo just threw Heero a wink causing Heero to yell, “EYES ON THE ROAD! EYES ON THE ROAD!” Duo just laughed out loud as he swerved sharply to get back on his lane, narrowly missing a semi.
“Duo, pull the car over.”
“What?!”
“Pull over!”
“I can’t hear you, Heero!”
Duo turned off the radio right as Heero yelled, “PULL OVER THE GOD DAMN CAR YOU FUCKING PSYCHOTIC PERSON!”
Duo affected a hurt expression, “Geeze, Heero, there is no reason for you to yell at me. I can hear you know. Or at least I could hear out of this ear before you yelled in it, but that’s ok, it’s not like I want to use this ear anytime soon. And there is no need for you to call me names. Besides, Heero, we are already at HQ.”
Heero turned his head to look out the window only to be thrown against the window as Duo popped the car up on two wheels trying to get into a parking space.

“I am going to kill those two when I find them.”
The other Preventer agents were brave, smart, and resourceful people. They were put into life and death situations every week.
Today, though, they scrambled out of the way of a lone eighteen year old.
Granted, Wufei was not a normal teen. Hell, he was not even a normal Preventer agent. The Chinese youth was an ex-Gundam pilot.
At the moment, the young oriental youth with deep onyx eyes and matching hair pulled back into a tight ponytail was pissed.
This was the third time this month that Yuy and Maxwell were late and they were later than usual. But that was not what was pissing Wufei off. Lady Une had sent him to find the two.
‘What am I, some damn errand boy? I do have work to do you know.’
The sound of the elevator stopping on this floor pleased Wufei. He would not even have to press the button and wait for an incredibly long time for it to arrive. Luck was shining down on him.
He waited patiently for the people to get off the elevator. When he stepped on he was all alone, after all, Wufei was on the top floor of a forty-story building. The only people on an elevator on the top floor were those getting off, and those stepping on.
Wufei smiled and pushed the button for the underground parking lot.
Two floors down, the elevator stopped and the doors opened. A Preventer and his son who seemed to be around four stepped on. The Preventer nodded his head in respect for Wufei. Wufei nodded in return.
The man pressed a button for seven floors down. The little boy instantly became fascinated when the button began to glow. The boy looked up to his father to see him reading through a file. Wufei was not even looking at him. Here was the boy’s chance.
The boy pressed every single button witl thl the childish delight of a four-year old doing something he knew he should not.
The elevator stopped the next floor down. When the doors opened no one got on. Neither Wufei nor the child’s father thought anything of it. By the 34th floor, the two adults were getting annoyed. Wufei glanced at the button panel to find all the buttons except for the floors they had already passed glowing.
“What the hell?!”
The father looked down at what Wufei was staring at then turned to glare at his giggling son.
“Jimmy!”
“Yes, Daddy?” the boy stopped giggling to look at his father innocently.
“What possessed you to press all those buttons?!” the father asked, not fooled for a second by his mischievous son’s act of innocence.
“I didn’t do it, Daddy.”
The father’s left eye began to twitch in anger. Then the question that should never be asked of a child in situations like this fell from the father’s lips:
“Then who did press the buttons if you did not?”
Jimmy, without missing a beat, pointed at Wufei, “He must have done it, Daddy.”
Wufei’s eyes widen in disbelief with the child’s ease of lying. Did children have no honor amongst them anymore?
The father’s response to the child’s blatant lie differed slightly from the fatherless Preventer’s response. His eyes did widen as he glanced at Wufei. Wufei, while younger, was still higher up in the Preventer Hierarchy. Then, his eyes narrowed as he turned to regard his young son.
“Jimmy Sein Quinn, you know not to lie.”
The father grabbed his son’s arm, turned him around, and delivered swift punishment upon his son’s rear.
“Your mother will hear of this.”
The boy’s sobbing grew louder at the thought of his mother’s wrath.
Jimmy’s father turned to face Wufei. The nervousness in the older man was evident. Who could blame the poor man? He was facing an ex-Gundam pilot.
“I am sorry, Sir, for my son’s behavior. He wanted to see where my wife and I work. Since he goes to the daycare here, we did not think there would be any harm. I am taking him down to my wife’s floor now so she can show him around and then take him to the day care building.”
Wufei just nodded and remained silent. The father faded into a nervous silence. Wufei grew more annoyed at each floor.
When they reached the 31st floor, the man quickly apoled ted to Wufei again and dragged his son off of the elevator.
No one got on the elevator on any of the lower floors. The look on Wufei’s face discouraged any who thought of stepping on. He started muttering to himself.
“I am going to kill Yuy and Maxwell when I get my hands on them.”
The doors finally opened at the underground parking lot with a vein in i’s i’s head throbbing. Wufei’s ears were immediately assaulted by two voices arguing.
“Come on, Heero, no one got hurt.”
“Give me the keys, Duo.”
“Why should I?”
“Now!”
“I didn’t think my driving was that bad.”
“Now!”
st bst because you got scared and left handprints in the door, doesn’t make me a bad driver.”
“You are never allowed to drive again.”
“But, Heero…”
Wufei could not take any more of this.
“Yuy, Maxwell, you two are late.”
Duo ran into Wufei nearly knocking him down. Lucky for Duo, Wufei managed to keep his balance and catch Duo before he fell also.
“Maxwell! How many times do I have to tell you not to walk backwards?”
“Chang! How many times do I have to tell you to get a personality?”
Wufei shoved Duo away from him and was about to tell Duo what he thought about Duo’s personality compared to his own. Unfortunately, or fortunately as it would result in a long argument, Heeroke oke up the little squabble.
“You were looking for us?”
Wufei shot a glare at Duo who just stuck his tongue out when he turned to answer Heero. “Yes, Lady Une wishes to speak to the two of you.”
Heero nodded pulling Duo into the elevator by his braid. Wufei got back onto the elevator shaking his head as Duo began to yell at Heero for pulling his braid.
*******
“Send them on in,” Une told her secretary over the intercom. Miss Lee waved them on in as Duo wi at at her. Heero rolled his eyes at the ever flirtatious Duo.
Duo and Heero entered Lady Une’s office alone since Wufei went to work on something or other.
Heero immediately registered the fact that Lady Une had a guest.
He wondered if this woman had come to Une to ask for help. She was a pretty woman in her late twenties or early thirties. She fell a couple of inches below six feet. Her blonde hair that had a hint of red hung to her shoulder blades. The bangs had been grown out to reach her chin. It seemed to shine and looked as soft as silk. Her eyes were a dark mix between blue and green. Her dark blue skirted suit hugged her slim figure emphasizing the beauty that lay underneath. A fair skinned hand pushed on the arm of one of Une’s visitor chairs, propelling the owner to her feet as she turned to face the two Preventers.
Lady Une nodded to the two boys as the door closed behind them.
“I am glad the two of you finally decided to join us, Agent Sun, Agent Moon.”
Duo began to open his mouth but was never given the chance.
“Shove it, Duo, I do not want to hear any of your lame excuses. You two have kept us waiting long enough.”
“This,” she pointed to the other lady in the room, “is Jade Amora. She has joined us and will be working with you two. And before you start to protest, Maxwell, you will do this whether you like it or not. If you feel I am being to unfair, you can always quit. So, do either of you have a problem?”
The two boys shook their heads no.
“Good. Welcome to Preventers, Miss Amora.”
