Hilde looked up as she stepped out of the cab. She smiled as the snowflakes fell on her face. It was early for snow.@ It was 2 weeks to Halloween and 10 weeks till Christmas came around. She smiled, hoping Christmas would come quickly. She couldn’t wait to see his face when he saw her gift to him.

She turned back to the cabbie and handed him a 20. He handed back her change.

She glanced at her watch, seeing to was almost 6. The hazy daylight had stared to fade when the snow started to fall.

“You need me to come back for you, Miss Schibecker?”

She shook her head and said ,”No, thanks, Max, I’ll have a ride.”

“Meeting the fellow here?”

She nodded.

He winked, “Too bad, if I was single he’d have to worry.”

Hilde laughed and waved as she stepped back from the window.

She watched the car pull away from the curb and turned to the door of the “Downtown Sports Club.”

She pulled open the door and stepped in, feeling the rush of warm air and cigarette smoke. She stood in the door way and let her eyes adjust to the semidarkness. She could hear the TVs blaring and music playing. She smiled as she heard the clink of glasses and soft talking. There was an occasional yell as some one liked a play they had seen. She loved the soft and classy atmosphere . She reached up brushing the snow out of her hair and then shrugged off her jacket.

She was met by the coat girl who took her jacket and lead her into the main room. A young waiter came to greet her and smiled at her.

“Miss Hilde!” He greeted her. “The regular? I do believe every one is here and waiting .”

Hilde nodded as he lead her to the back where their regular table was.

She smiled as she heard the vo of of her and Duo’s friends all chattering away. As she got closer she could see the object of her affection. He looked up and stood when he saw her.

Hilde smiled and waved as Duo came out of the booth to meet and greet her. He grasped her hand and kissed her, pulling her back to the booth.

“How was your day, babe?”

Hilde smiled and replied. “It was pretty good.”

Time seemed to slow down as she sat with Duo. She looked over at him. He looked at her and grasped her hand. She felt her heart flutter and she felt instantly weak at his touch. It was almost like she couldn’t catch her breath.

The daylight’s fading slowly

Everything seemed to be blur to Hilde as she sat next to the man she totally loved and adored. She seemed to be lost in his touch. She felt his hand clasp on to hers and intertwine his fingers with hers. She sighed softly as he squeezed. He leaned over and whispered in her ear and kissed her cheek. She closed her eyes and felt her heart start to e. Se. She couldn’t help it. He had to know how he affected her, didn’t he? She looked over at him and found him staring at her. Hilde looked up at his lips wishing he would just kiss her.

After a few drinks and quiet conversation, everyone moved off to do their own thing.

Duo leaned down and said softly. “How bout we get out of here? They won’t miss us.”

Hilde looked around, She saw Heero , Relena, Trowa and Dorothy playing pool. Catherine and Quatre had moved up the to bar to watch the game. Sally and WuFei were off in another part of the bar.

“OK.”

All she could think of was being in his arms and kissing him.

Duo pulled her out of the booth and they waved to everyone as they headed out.

“Hey, Guys, going so soon?” Quatre called from the bar.

Duo grinned and waved, pulling Hilde closer to him. The coat girl gave them their coats and Duo helped Hilde get hers on.

“Did You drive, babe?” He asked as they stepped out into the still falling snow. The ground was still too warm for it to stick to the sidewalks and pavement but it was showing up on the grassy areas.

“No, I got a cab.”

“Max, again?”

“Yeah, How does he always knows it’s me?”

Duo shrugged, “Probably the business address.”

“Oh, yeah, I never though of that. You’re probably right.”

“Babe?”

She glanced over at him as they walked to the parking garage. “Hmm?”

“Are all all right? You seem a little distant tonight.”

“Oh, I’m ok. Just thinking.”

“About what?”

“You.”

“Me?”

“Yeah, if this would all end tomorrow and there was just today. I have to say this is the happiest I have ever been. It’s like a dream come true. It’s because of you, Duo. You are all I need.”

He looked down at her and smiled. “It won’t end today or anytime soon, babe. I need you, too.”

Duo pulled her to a halt in the garage. He leaned down and whispered, “I love you, Hilde, babe. I all ways will.” His fingers moved up to her chin and tilted it toward his face. He leaned down and kissed her soft and tender. His other hand slipped around to her back and pulled her closer to him. Hilde put her arms around his neck, savoring the kiss. They were interrupted by a couple walking by.

“Sheesh. Kids these days. Any where and time.”

“Shhh. Don’t cause a scene.” Came a softer, more feminine reply. “We were like that once.”

The steps faded away and Hilde sighed.” We should go.” She shivered slightly.

“You cold, babe?”

“A little, I didn’t wear the right jacket for snow.”

They hurried to Duo’s truck and he helped her in. “Want to go to my place……. Or yours?”

“Doesn’t matter. Where ever is closer.”

“OK, my place it is.”

Hilde scooted across the seat to her side , but Duo grabbed her arm, “No sit by me.”

“You’ll get a ticket.”

“I don’t care, I’ll pay it. I just want you here by me.”

She scooted back across and sat next to him. He put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her close to him. The ride to Duo’s was quiet as both of them just enjoyed the company.

As they walked to his door, the snow began to fall harder, Hilde looked up, enjoying it falling on her face. “I wonder how much snow we’ll get?”

“Hm, I don’t know.”

As they entered the apartment, Duo helped Hilde with her jacket. “Babe, so what do you want to do? Watch a movie or……”

She walked over to him, and put her hands on his chest. “I think I want to go to bed. I want you in my arms. Besides I’m cold and I want to warm up. “

She unbuttoned two of his buttons and moved away. She crooked her finger at him, beckoning him to follow her. He caught up with her and followed her into the bedroom.

Hilde sat on the bed and took off her shoes and stockings. Duo dropped down beside her and did the same.

“You know, babe, We should really move in together. We either spend all our time at your place or here. I think it would be good if we shared just one place. Besides, I would rather have you here all the time. Either place.”

“Yeah, It probabluld uld be a good idea. Ok. I agree.” She said as she leaned toward him, “But let’s finish this discussion later, ok.?”

He nodded as she finished unbuttoning his shirt. He shrugged out of it as she finished removing hers. His hands went to her shoulders and pushed the bra straps down, gently caressing her skin. Hilde arched her shoulders as he continued to push the straps down her arms, slowly exposing her breasts to him. As soon as she was uncovered he unclasped it and tossed it away. She sighed as his fingers caressed her collar bone, moving slowly down. He let his fingers glide to her breasts, gently taking them both in his hands, rubbing over them, touching her erect nipples. After a few moments , they lay panting from the intensity of it , Hilde looked up at her lover and said. ”There is nothing in this world than I want more Than to be with you Duo. I don’t know how you do it but you make me want more and more. I can’t get away from you. I don’t even what to try. I……”

Her words were cut off by another kiss. “I feel the same way, babe. I feel the same way.” He said as he pulled her as close to him as he could. “I don’t want to let go, not now , not ever.”

“Me either. Kiss me again.”

@ just a small note. I hope you will all like this and I tried to get the feeling of the song into the story but I’m not sure I did . I sure hope so.

and the other note. in 19 95 or 6 we had 6 inches of snow here on Oct 1^st! I have pictures t o prove it! It didn’t last very long ,a day at the most but it was snow. Just so you know there has been snow here ( Iowa ) in Oct.
