7 Roses

Disclaimer: This is where I state that I do not own or make any money off of Beyblade...

Author’s notes: I\'m a real \'dreamwriter\'. I guess I\'m just too obsessed with the show... This one is a \'sort of sequel\' to \'From Ice To Steam\'. It will mainly consentrate on Tyson and Zeo and it will be more serious then the first one.

Chapter I

Everytime he visited the graveyard, it seemed to rain. The sky was filled with dark clouds, making 5pm feel like night. Water was pouring down from the sides of his umbrella and occasionally the cold wind blew some raindrops to his face and coat. All the rain had turned the road into a minefield of puddles. His black shoes were covered in mud and he didn\'t even try to avoid it.

This is where he disappeared whenever he needed time for himself, his own thoughts. The weather didn\'t matter, not really... He turned from the road and kneeled on the wet grass by two black stones. Two names written in silvery letters: Selina and Zeo Zagart.

This is where they were truly buried. There existed another stone for his wife, Selina on a different cemetery. A cemetery he and his son visited together. It didn\'t really make sense. After Zeo\'s so called \'reincarnation\' it seemed right to bury the body next to his mother. Zeo however would never find out the truth about himself if only he could help it. That\'s why he had the both bodies moved to another cemetery, leaving his wife\'s original tombstone intact in order to avoid too many questions... from Zeo especially.

Selina had died when Zeo was very young. Zagart had always blamed himself for what had happened, but this he never told anybody. Protecting his family had been the most important thing to him and he had failed. Zagart buried himself in work and it actually helped him in his recovery. He had to take care of Zeo now and his discovery was slowly but surely leading him closer to the point where nothing could take his son away from him.

Unfortunately time ran out sooner than anybody could have expected and there was nobody left to prtotect anymore. \"What a complete comedy of errors\" he rememberd dr. K\'s words. He couldn\'t protect anybody. And he couldn\'t live through the pain of losing someone again. He wanted a second chance and he would have it.

About three months ago Zeo found out everything: He had ones died and was brought back to life, as a robot. Zagart never intended to tell Zeo anything, but after a lot of things he came to realise that he would need his help. The truth changed Zeo dramatically. He was no longer as happy as he used to be but he was going to become a real boy and when that happened, the past wouldn\'t matter anymore.

The perfect plan had failed, all thanks to Tyson and the Bladebreakers. Zeo remained as a machine and didn\'t really even want to become a real boy anymore. It was as if he was now nothing but a shadow of his true son... Zeo had failed in his task and made Zagart understand that he had never really gotten his second chance. The robot had been his son so far, but now things were different... He couldn\'t explain it, but things just had changed...

He laid two roses on the grass in front of the graves. His eyes narrowed as he could feel his hope wither away. He remembered the last time he wrapped his arms around his wife and then around Zeo when they were looking at her grave. He remembered even more clearly when he had ran to see how Zeo was doing after the truck hit him. He had turned him around and wiped the bangs away from his face. He had held him gently and whispered that everything would be allright. Only later had he understood that Zeo had never heard his words... It wasn\'t long after that when he commited the desperate act of creating his son again...

\"Forgive me my son...\"
After living through the memories again his thoughts were slowly moving into himself. \'What did I do wrong?\'...

...And then it hit him...

\"I won\'t give up just yet... You\'ll see\"

Dr. Zagart walked back to his limo, this time with a more hopeful look on his face. He would need some help, but if things were as usual, that wouldn\'t become a problem.
