house was completely devoid of the noises of little children.Went
into the brood’s room. Found Bardock dismantling
the third bed. The mattress and linens
were already stacked next to the door.
The little belongings were packed into a capsule. He didn’t pause in his work as he said: “I’m
going to take it to him tomorrow.”“Is
he okay?”Bardock
stopped then, looked at him. Looked
identical to his father. “He’s fine.” Waited a second, then went back to pulling
apart the bed frame.“What
about you?”“I’m
busy.”And
Goku thought of what Bardock had become in Mirai Trunks’ disastrous
future. Thought, as he watched the
little boy work with a single-minded focus, that it was no surprise he had been
capable of such horrible things. Once that
rage inside of him was woken up, there would be no stopping it. Not until Bardock learned to control it
himself. And Goku found comfort in the
fact that he was stronger than his tiny son.
That his mate was stronger, and that Gohan was stronger as well. Sighed when he realized he was contemplating
how he would fight his own son.That
future was dead. Bardock wasn’t going
to turn evil. He was just being
himself. Being a Saiyan. Responding as a tiny child would. Removing the reminder that there had ever
been another one of the brood. And Goku
didn’t move to help him, but stood there and watched him until the job was
finished and all that remained of Gogeta were two little capsules.Picked
up Bardock—by the tail—looke him him as he crossed his arms over his chest and
raised his arrogant little eyebrows.
Smiled, shook his head and kissed his forehead. Listened to the sputtering, watched him wipe
away the kiss. “Gross!” And then dropped him on his bed.“Go
to bed,” he said as he left the room, “Your father is going to spar with you
tomorrow.”~~~~***

Vegeta: Can we all please get over the Gogeta thing and move on to the

Yes, poor Gogeta is an angst machine, isn’t he? Fortunately (or unfortunately) once Bardock
gets rid of his stuff, there will be little mention of him. Saiyan coping mechanisms and all that.Mechanical Butterfly:
