Durham
Durham was a small down just at the border of Amestris. It had one general store, one major Inn, and little businesses that were run by families that lived in the town. By the looks of it the town barely got any business in the first place. There was a trap set up there for Roy and his unit. The only thing that wouldn't be taken into consideration is that fact that the 'Late' Edward Elric, the sin of Yamisuki, wouldn't react to a homunculi’s weakness.
Chapter Nine: Durham
Edward growled at Havoc, who started annoying him when the trip was almost over. Roy was staring out of the window, while Hawkeye read a romance novel. "But I do know that you and Fury need to stop making out on the roof of HQ. You never know who's up there." Edward smirked at the shocked faces of Havoc and Fury. Roy raised an eyebrow as he started to listen in to their conversations. "I told you he hid up there!" Fury said hiding his face in Havoc's sleeve. "I didn't see him!" Havoc then turned to Ed again with a glare. " Were you the one to lock us up there?" Havoc asked Roy started laughing, the crew gave a startled look and Ed smiled.
The train pulled to a stop and Roy stood up and grabbed one of his bags. Ed quickly grabbed his bag, by standing on the train seat, and then hopping down. A gunshot ran through the train car, Ed look over to where he heard the gun shot. It was right at the exit of the car, a tall female with brown hair that was braided neatly, her eyes were slanted like Roy's but you could make out a hint of golden brown, She smirked coldly to the unit, she wore a blue and gold military uniform. In one of her hands was a bone that looked like it was shed from decaying skin, in the other hand was a 9 mm Glock.
"So you’re the person the Furher picked to kill off Colonel Bastard and the gang." Ed said looking at the blonde haired girl. She smiled and raised an eyebrow. "Now how do you know that?" she said in a light but commanding voice. Roy frowned and slipped on a glove. "Not so fast Flamey!" She tossed the bone at Edward, who ducked but could feel the bone pulling at him. "You robbed my grave!" Edward yelled, not feeling the least bit weak. He clapped his hands together and sent a wave of alchemy at the blonde girl, wires of metal wrapped around her, trapping her. Her gun fell to the floor with a loud thud. "You should be weakening!!" the girl yelled before a strap of metal covered her mouth.
Ed shuttered at the creepiness of the bone that seemed like it was trying to get him. Havoc picked up the bone and blinked. "How is it supposed to weaken him?" Havoc wondered out loud. "A homunculus weakness is his own remains." Roy said taking the bone from Havoc. "Why didn't you react to it?" Roy asked Edward, the bone in his hand was close to Ed. "Keep that thing away..." Ed said backing away from Roy. "It’ll eat me!" The girl in restraints looked like she was laughing as the unit looked at Ed. "What! I'm serious! It feels like it's going to eat me or something!" Roy handed the bone to Riza. "Sir, this is so nasty and wrong." Riza said quickly handing the bone back to Havoc.
Ed shuttered again, wanting to get away from the decaying bone. Ed noticed a flash of alchemy and looked over to the blonde haired girl who was free and had already picked up her gun and aimed at Roy. Just as she pulled the trigger Ed pushed Roy out of the way. The bullet penetrated Ed's right shoulder. He fell to the ground, holding his shoulder. Damn, I don't heal when I'm in full control. He heard a sound of a snap and the girl screaming as she caught on fire. He winced at the sound, but then the girl automatically healed and turned into the familiar form of Envy. "What's wrong, O’chibi-san? Not healing?"
Ed looked up glaring at the palm tree haired homunculus. "You know perfectly well what’s wrong you bastard!" Ed growled. Roy looked at Ed worriedly, but took snapping position. Riza frowned and lifted up her gun as Havoc, Fury, Brenda and Falman did the same. "Well, I don't like pain that much, and it's obvious that you'll all shot me even though I don't die that easily so bye!" With that, Envy jumped out of the train. "Damn him..." Ed muttered. Only Roy was able to hear him. The wound finally pushed the bullet out and healed by the time everything was cleaned up.
Roy got them each a different hotel room, only incase of individual attacks. Roy and Ed were put together, as was Havoc and Fury, Brenda and Falman. Riza was lucky she got her own room.
The Furher wasn't happy with the news. He wasn't happy at all. He growled at his desk as the messenger ran out of the room. "This Homunculus could cause me problems. Damn it. He's just like Edward Elric, a flea on my back."
