A finale... for now?
OK people.... A sad little note from this poor authoress wannabe. I have come to realize i lack the same drive and inspiration that started this story, and given the fact that it was the potential ending that inspired th ewhole thing, i am going to post up this finale, the ending as i pretty much envisioned it. I may, or may not, come back and fill in the "mising chapters"... but i doubt it. Between Real life and other fics, i just can't devote the time to this i feel this story deserves. So please, enjoy the end, leave me a note, adn go check out my Naruto fics. I will be hanging out in that anime for a while to come. Until next time, Adios, Ciao, and best of luck. And please, REVIEW!!! Thanks.
Claimed: A finale...
(wrap-up..)
The same weekend Duo stole away Zechs, Wufei paid a visit to his general. Both men disappeared from the ranks within two days, and by the end of the week, Une had taken over control of OZ until such time as Treize was proven dead or returned. Two months later, a video came in the mail, delivered directly to her door and without return markings. Inside a note simply said to watch and keep alert for directions within. Uneasy, she sat down and played the disk, her gut churning when she recognized the people in the film, barely able to sit and watch through the twenty or so minutes it took before the screaming and begging stopped. A cold voice reverberated from the speakers, giving exact instructions on what she was to do, immediately, to the mighty military that was OZ. When it was done, she stared at the screen, numb from the scenes and the haughty voice. About thirty seconds of fuzz later, the screen flickered and an entirely different voice came from the disk.
“Lady Une. I sincerely had hoped it would not come down to this but we are all bound in what we have to do to achieve our dreams. In my quest to achieve true peace for Earth and the colonies, I am asking you to meet with me on 10th of July, approximately two days after you receive this disk. We will continue our conversation and sign any contracts necessary at that time. Do not ignore us, Lady Une, for your own good. Until then, yours sincerely, Relena Peacecraft.”
Unsurprisingly, the colonies and the earth nation openly accepted the idea of peace as a whole. News had hit the air and by the end of July, all military forces had been turned over to the Queen of the world, Relena. Somehow, she fulfilled the role well, a firm and sometimes ruthless hand that guided the people in the beginnings of the infancy of complete peace. Factions that did rise were immediately and unnervingly silenced, and nothing about them could be traced directly to the new queen. Everywhere she went, a silent shadow graced her presence, ensuring her safety- Heero, on loan from his masters until everything was assured to their success. Of course, she only had an idea of his status among the pilots, only knowing that he was intimately involved with Duo and Wufei. Surprisingly, she’d handled it well. No one had seen much of Duo and Wufei, both claiming various reasons to avoiding the limelight and social circles for several months.
A final assembly was announced for the first of December. A grand display of power, the pompous display for all final signings for Relena to take the reins of the world sphere nation and space. Delegates, military heads, representatives from every place and authority were to be present. The Gundam pilots, OZ officials, everyone.
If only people had an idea of exactly what was going to happen… for no one would forget the impending, ultimate display of power.

The stadium was immense, easily the size of two or three football fields put together, and lighted appropriately. Spot lights had been suspended with main focus on the stage, and cameras erected to record every momentous second. It was only partially roofed, and wide gaps along the line in the ceiling allowed good views of the starry sky. Wide shallowly curved disks hung from points along the existent ceiling, reflecting light back down over the crowd filling the majority of the grassy arena area. No one was up in the stands, no lighting provided for proper arrangements to seat anyone up into that area. Plus, it would ruin the surprise.
Une and several other people sat in two rows of chairs behind a raised podium. On either side were two smaller cleared, circular spots, slightly raised but not to the same extreme. No one but Relena and her contingent had been allowed into the back area, where thick heavy drapes blocked out any and all lights and cameras. The world waited with bated breath as the minutes counted down.
Almost precisely at eight PM the curtain swayed, and a pale figure stepped into the light. Relena smiled grandly and walked forward to the podium, a bright overhead light following her progress. “Members, representatives, and allies to this new world and Nation, I bid you welcome. Tonight is a night not to be forgotten in this our amazing history. Let me introduce you to the supportive and pledging people on the stage.” She called them one by one, name and purpose, while cameras snapped and recorded every second, every little nuance. Polite sounds of acknowledgement came from the assembled crowd until she finished. The ceremony dragged on for nearly two hours after, as paperwork was signed in the presence of eternal publicity. She came to Une last, and the woman signed away on the lines she was supposed to. Relena paused her before the prior military woman could return to her chair.
“I have one final surprise for the evening. Would everyone please stand and move the chairs back? Please?” The group on stage rose, curious, and moved the folding chairs back, and at instruction, to either side of the carpeted strip running from podium to the draped region. Once there was proper room, she allowed them to sit, and patted Une’s shoulder on the way back to her chair. “I have a special surprise for this most helpful and commanding person that has handed over the largest assembled military force yet conceived. I request that all people remain sitting and calm.” She stepped a little away from the podium, a hand gesturing toward the huge hung drapes. “May I introduce the Gundam pilots, who helped in bringing about the necessary changes to achieve this peace. Trowa Barton and Quatre Winner, come forward.”
The young men exited and calmly approached the front, standing at the two little circlets to either side for a few moments before going off behind the rows of delegates and guests. The little blond kept his eyes glued to the drapes as Relena called forward the nest two. “Chang Wufei and Duo Maxwell, please step forward and present yourselves.”
The microphone had barely stopped echoing her voice before a haunting sound filled the front of the auditorium. The various microphones scattered around the stage picked up the eerie howl, that eased into a cackle that sent chills racing through all assembled, even the trio that had an idea of what was about to happen. A dark shape came bounding through the drapes, blurring across the stage to pause before a camera focused on one of the side podiums. The cameraman shrieked and stumbled away from the suddenly there furry head, hesitantly returning when the prankster lycanthrope stalked away. Duo, in full furry threat, draped himself against Relena’s shoulder, grinning into the microphone. “Wuffers, your turn!” He fairly cackled. He turned his mottled body in a mocking bow towards the ‘door’ in the heavy black cloth.
This time the emergence of the next pilot was slower, the cameras able to focus on the golden hand and talons splitting the crack of material wide open. Wufei’s entrance was taken with the same shock as Duo’s, as he strode forward resplendent in golden scales, talons, wings. His horns had gained a richer hue, curving above his head and hair, and when he met the camera’s digital gaze, he revealed the long hidden eyes of one of the most dangerous creatures mankind thought was myth- those red gold orbs of the dragon.
The stunned silence of the crowd was worth every drop of sweat produced when the guys had come to her with this thought. She hadn’t seen either of their true forms at that time, and wasn’t allowed to until this evening, but the silent crowd felt right.
“The Gundam pilots, and my personal enforcers to threats against the peace I have strived to build. Duo Maxwell and Chang Wufei.” They stepped forward at the appropriate names, assuming their few minutes in front of the crowd at their designated spots. Relena went to speak, announce the last one- Heero- when Wufei waved her off. There were questions in the humans below, and he knew what he had to do, to say, to keep the poor lost sheep in line.
“Before we finish the last of this show and the shock of all your lives and of those watching this tonight, I have one final thing to say. Anyone that raises weapon or army against this rule will find themselves eradicated. Do not be comforted into thinking me and my fellow pilot are the only things such as us. My clan survived what all thinks was their utter destruction, and there are many who live in secret. Pick a fight with us, or those we have pledged our loyalty to, and we will rise like the darkness and consume everything in our path. This is the pledge the dragon clan Chang has made, and it is an oath we will hold until the end.” Wufei looked up into the darkness as the crowd murmured at his words. Was he for real? A sharp- toothed grin split his misshapen lips and he gestured to the far walls, arms lifting up and out. “Reveal, my clan!”
Roaring flames arched up from the darkness, the recesses where stars could no longer be seen, but instead dim forms lit by plumes of fire filled the voids. The flames danced across the silver dishes and lit, burning bright and creating enough light to see the far edge of the roof. More creatures- some not even his clan or specie, peered over the edge and down at the crowd. An eerie stillness grew over the humans as they realized just how much at a disadvantage they were. Both pilots grinned at their plight, and Wufei left Duo the microphone. “And for the last little surprise of the night….” Duo waved dramatically before his face and voice went dark.
“Come, slut, and bring the toys with you!!”
The curtain rustled one last time, and three forms moved slowly into public view. Stunned gasps rippled through the crowd at the three naked bodies that moved into view- two of them crawling on their hands and knees, heads drooping low. The one in the front, walking but his body slumped just slightly with his submission, could be recognized and Heero Yuy. But, oh, the changes wrought upon the body of the once feared Gundam pilot. His nipples were pierced and from two small chains dangled a pair of teeth on each. A thick silvery collar encircled his neck, and among the scars littering his body, a few were quite obviously bite marks. A thick chain from each hand ran back to the bodies following him at a slow crawl. The one on the left had silvery white hair tied up upon their head, a pile that suggested great length, but done in a way to ensure the body was one perfect display. Claw marks decorated this one’s skin, and the wide stripe marks of a whip. The one on the right, brown locks cut shorter than the other, and similarly adorned with whip stripes and obvious claw markings. None of the three wore anything resembling clothing.
Heero approached Duo, silently offering the lycanthropic creature the chain to the blonde, before turning and taking the brunette to Wufei’s side. The dragon refused the chain, and Heero knelt at his side, waiting while the leashed one curled next to him, head touching the floor. The ranks of slavery had been displayed- whoever these two were, they were beneath the collared Heero, who knelt with his back straight up and chin lowered just a bit. Eventually, as the crowd managed to absorb just what they were looking at, the cameras circled around, gathering every detail of the two unknown slaves- for slaves they obviously were- every detail except the faces that would undoubtedly reveal their identities. Every detail, in fact, including the very male anatomy trapped in rings, the plugged holes, the bracelet- like restraints that chained wrists and feet together, in a rough square that would prevent their standing or running- or just about anything, if the metal was strong enough. And once the crowd had seemed to have enough, disgusted or scared as they may be, Relena once again took the center raised podium.
“Let this be the final warning to all who wish to destroy this peace I raise. For it will be a true peace, as much as anything established by humanity will ever be. These two men bound and crawling like dogs were once enigmatic, proud, forceful leaders, soldiers, who sought to bring peace through ultimate destruction. Recognize them for who they once were, and will never be again. Ex-general Treize Khushrenada and ex- ‘Lightning Count’ Zechs Merquise, one time my brother, Milliardo Peacecraft.”
Gasps of shock from the congregation at her words were not near as loud as the strangled sound from Une’s lips. She’d risen from her chair, hand lifted before her face in shock and horror. A man next to her was trying to get her to sit before she disturbed the ongoing performance, but she refused to budge. One word slipped unbidden from her.
“Excellency?”
Wufei bent and jerked the head at his feet up by the hair, revealing the well known visage of the once leader of OZ. Duo did the same, tearing apart the bands holding Zech’s hair in place so the snowy cascade billowed around his face. Both men cried out at the awkward position, on orders not to move unless commanded otherwise, but unable to help the pull of their masters’ hands. The two pilots let their toys suffer for several long minutes while the crowd suffered and raged and huddled in fear. Finally the two men were released, dropped ruthlessly to slump onto the floor before being ordered back behind the curtain. Heero once again stood and gathered the chains, and led the men mutely down the carpet while Relena rose to make some final statements.
It was Une that hesitantly motioned at Heero to stop. “Why, Yuy? Why did they…?” She looked at the two men she’d respected and worked with for so long, but got no answer. Instead, the pilot simply shook his head and walked on, leaving Une behind, alone to weep silently, a few tears escaping the once stern face.
Oz would be nothing more than a bad note in the pages of history, and an acrid taste in her mouth. And when the present populace slid from their chairs and knelt to take the new fealty oath to the official Queen of the world, Une did as well, too destroyed to every think about changing things. The looks Duo and Wufei sent her behind Relena’s back, where they stood as her attentive bodyguards and potent threats, those looks were more than enough to keep her silent and dreamless.
Peace had arrived, the wars ended, and the two masterminds behind it all had gotten the prizes they had wanted for so very long. It was time for them to go pay their little puppets a reward for behaving so beautifully today. And unnoticed by the humans, all the creatures left to officially disappear and leave everyone wondering if they weren’t just a hallucination, after all.
If they had only known….

A/N: I want to thank every review i've gotten- all 15 of them so far. arialee and anime_gal22, you have been possibly my best (loyal) reviewers, and i thank you much for each and every one. to Dark Light and WolfWing, my last two reviewers, thanks much! I do play kinda hard with the boys, and i want to probe that more, but sadly, my time to devote to the appropriate smut just is lacking at this time. I hope this chapter appeases all of you until i get back- maybe even if it's only one last lemon for "behaving little toys" ...
Thanks very much and please review on your way out!
