Stepping into the den, the Asian froze. He didn’t know what else to do. His parents -god- they each held a loaded gun toward the two new Vampires. Oh god - what was he suppose to do? Heero and Trowa were just standing there. They were just going to let his parents shoot them.

“Get behind me. Now.” Wufei wasn’t sure what scared him more. The speed at which the Vampires obeyed him, the fact that he now had to guns aimed at him, or that he had spoken at all.

“Wufei, get out of the way.” His parents didn’t know what was going on, but they knew that the monsters standing behind their son needed to be taken care of. They didn’t stop to wonder how in the world Wufei was so calm.

“No. They’re…they’re friends.”

“Friends? You know what they are, your first instinct should be to-”

“To protect them. Put the guns away so we can talk about this.”

“This is crazy, get-”

“Honey, put your gun away. We knew this would happen.” Wufei’s mother instructed. He watched as they put the guns back into their holsters and turned toward each other.

“How did he find out? We never told him about Priests. He was suppose to be a Hunter.”

“Wait.” Wufei cut in, trying to process his father’s statement. “You knew I was a Priest?”

“What else could you have been? You were suppose to start Hunting at seven, but when you turned nine and still didn’t ask about Hunting, we knew there was something wrong.” His father replied seriously.

“You didn’t think it would be important to inform me that I shouldn’t be killing Vampires?” Wufei had to force himself not to wince when his parents glared at him.

“You were suppose to carry on the line of Hunters. Not make friends with blood-suckers. What were you thinking? Even if you are a Priest, we taught you to hate them, there’s no way you should have been able to get along with any of them.” The Asian swallowed his tears. His parents had always been strict, but they had never purposely made him feel like his life was a mistake. Feeling a hand squeeze his shoulder, he jumped. Wufei had completely forgotten about the Vampires behind him.

“If you know about Priests, you should already know that any child he fathers, regardless of what the mother is, will either be born a Priest or a normal Human.” Trowa spoke calmly, hoping to calm the Hunters.

“There’s no way to know that! Stay out of this!” His mother ordered.

“Mom, dad…I’m not going to father a Hunter.” Wufei said quietly as his eyes fell to the floor.

“You don’t know that. We won’t know until you and your wife have-”

“I’m not going to have a wife.” He didn’t want to say it. Things were going so badly. How had this happened?

“Your fiancée is-”

“I’m gay.” Wufei hardly breathed. He knew his parents had found a Hunter for him to marry, but he didn’t want her. If this is what it took…then so be it.

“You’re…what?” His father seemed to go numb.

“Gay.” He wasn’t going to break down. At least, not until his parents left.

“Wufei…let’s go home so we can talk this through.” His mother said after a few moments. The Asian sighed as he felt his first tear fall. They were going to try to talk him out of being with men. He didn’t want a woman…and they wouldn’t stop till he was willing to have multiple children.

“Mr. and Mrs. Chang.” Wufei didn’t look up as Duo came into the room from behind him. “I’ll send him home a little later, let him absorb all-”

“He doesn’t have a home to go to.” His father stated before leaving with his wife.

Duo turned around to look at the Priest. He was going to tell him what a good job he had done standing up for himself…but the boy had broken down into heart wrenching sobs. In fact, if he didn’t have two Vampires holding him closely, he probably would have fallen to the floor. Then both boys seemed to realize how close the boy was and they smiled at each other over the top of the Priest's head.

Smiling as he walked back down the hall, Duo breathed a sigh of relief. Both his friends were still alive, and by the look of those smiles…they were falling hard for the Priest. Which was completely understandable since he had just stood up for them, and he didn’t know a thing about them. Closing the door behind himself, he left the three boys alone. He trusted them to help the Priest and not jump him. They could handle it…now, he had to have a serious talk with his little mate.

Ok, so Djargo reviewed that a dose of Heero and Trowa‘s voices would make Wufei’s parents complacent, but it was weak…they‘re Hunters so it wouldn’t have worked anyway. They can tell the difference between the voices but it doesn’t have any effect on them. They knew exactly what happened. So…no being complacent. I hope this makes sense for everybody :D
