A silent, wide yawn graced the pink lips of Kaana, as she trailed along behind the prince. He hadn\'t specifically told her to go anywhere, and she knew she had to follow him until she was otherwise told to. Oddly enough, Kaana had slid into her submissive sex mistress role altogether too well too quickly; all her years of being careful and prudish had all fallen out of the window the moment she felt Vegeta inside of her. Why, she didn\'t know - and she frankly didn\'t care. Her life\'s purpose was taken care of - and now, she had nothing left to live for, except for the Prince. She didn\'t reflect on it much, and was more so involved in her own concerns of who was trying to kill Vegeta.
His footsteps pattered into her thoughts, as they\'d gotten faster, almost breaking into a run. Her brain shifted into reality, and her eyes shifted upwards to the scene before her. It must have been rather late, because the halls and common places were all empty, except for bare minimum staff.
"STOP!" Vegeta exclaimed, in a bellowing voice. Kaana perked a brow, and glanced ahead to try and see what was going on, but all she saw was a shadowy, cloaked figure scurrying around the corner, down the hall were Vegeta\'s training chamber was. Kaana\'s feet carried her faster, along behind her prince. Curiosity and slight alarm settled within her heart as she too rounded the corner and sped along the hallway. As she slid within the training room, where Vegeta had just shortly disappeared into, she was met with a scene she wasn\'t expecting. Vegeta was on his ass over on the right hand side, against the wall, limp like a passed out drunk. His eyes were wide open, but were glazed over, as if he were in a coma.
"Dragon\'s claw?..." she muttered, noting a plant natural to Bejitasai; a paralytic. Temporary, but powerful.
"A smart wench, are you?..." a cold, steely voice cooed from across the room. Her eyes snapped up to the source; the shadowy guy from moments before, crouched in his hooded cloak, crouched as if he were ready to fight. "I thought that the bed fucks were supposed to lack a brain by default. But I guess the spawn of that old trader would know substantial amounts of information about what herbs and chemicals do what to people."
"What I know or do not know is of no concern of you, what is of concern to you is how much time in the dungeons you think you\'re going to get for incapacitating the Prince."
"Hah! Big talk for such a small bird! I would watch my tongue if I were you, lest the vipers cut it out."
Kaana thinned her eyes at the threat, placing her hands on her hips.
"The vipers best be careful where they slither their bellies; the nice cool ground might become red hot coals beneath them. The vipers also best be careful what saijins they strike at, it might not be a safe piece to bite off and swallow. Birds like myself love to devour naughty vipers. I might be a small bird, but a chickadee I am not. Better not make assumptions, that little bird might just turn out to be a Bejitan Klatthawk..." The barely visible eyes of the shrouded man thinned.
"Is that a threat? You don\'t want to me making threats, missy..."
"Oh, it\'s not a threat..." Kaana replied, bringing her fists up into a fighting stance, tilting her body to keep her organs safe. "It\'s a promise. You\'re not going to escape, you\'re going to suffer. You\'re not getting away with this."
"Oh but I am. Don\'t you realize exactly what will happen if you fight me? You might gobble up this viper, little Klatthawk, but what about the repercussions on your Prince, hmmmm? Have you forgotten it\'s illegal for any non-soldier female to possess ki? And, what about the little law that states anyone harboring an illegal female must be killed, regardless of rank? You might slay the lone Viper, Kaana, but the Vipers will win." An evil cackle rattled through the room, deep and taunting. Kaana growled. He was right. If there was no explanation for the bastard\'s death, then it would be obvious what happened, and Vegeta would lose all chance of being King, and he would be hunted down and killed. She snarled at the man, and slid between Vegeta and the door to let the man out.
"If you know what\'s good for you, you\'ll tell the other Vipers to stop this assassination attempt; it won\'t get you anything but killed. You may think you\'re being cute and coy with your symbolic talk, but you\'re not. Dragon\'s claw might be a paralytic, but it\'s not a total incapacitator. Vegeta has seen and heard everything that you\'ve said, and now we know it\'s a group of you. Watch your plurals next time, and go back to your den of coral snakes."
The shadowy figure took his leave rather quickly, without a word. She held herself back from blowing his head clean off his body, and clenched her fists so hard, that her palms were growing red. "When that damn weed wears off, Vegeta, we have quite a bit to talk about..."
