The next day, they went to Capsule Corp as planned. Bulma had organized another barbecue party and everyone was invited, though no one really suspected that they are really celebrating something this time. Everyone is used to Bulma having parties at her home.
"You're impossible, woman!" Vegeta said gruffly as he munched on his food. He was still angry because of his training getting interrupted by the event.
Bulma smiled. "Come on, Vegeta. Give yourself a break." She said.
"I'm a Saiyan woman! And Saiyans don't have time for these stupid parties of yours!" He snapped as he continued eating.
Bulma just smiled and turned to Goku who was sitting on her left side. He was also busy eating, but he was watching Rikku who was talking to Master Roshi's group at the nearby table. As usual, Master Roshi couldn't stop ogling the girl, and Krillin had to tell him that Rikku is off limits.
"Looks like Master Roshi has found another prospect." Bulma commented with a laugh.
"Well, too bad for him.. Because his new prospect is already taken.. By me." Goku answered.
"Wow, since when did you become possessive?" Bulma asked.
Goku just smiled. He didn't really know when had he turned that way, the only thing clear to him is that he didn't want anyone making advances to Rikku, or worse, touching her or looking at her the wrong way.
"Well, I guess that's how you Saiyans are.." Bulma said. Goku was about to answer when she spoke again. "What the heck is Yamcha thinking giving Rikku that?!" She said as she rose from her seat. Goku followed her stare and saw that Yamcha had handed Rikku a glass filled with a yellowish liquid. Goku's eyes narrowed and he suddenly stood up and made his way towards them, much to Bulma's surprise.
Rikku was animatedly chatting with Goku's bestfriend, Krillin, when Yamcha approached them. "Rikku, try this.." Yamcha said as he handed the girl a glass filled with liquor.
Rikku looked at the contents of the glass. "What's this?" She asked.
"That's brandy. It's a kind of wine. Try it. It's delicious." Yamcha answered.
Rikku smelled the contents of the glass. "It smells kinda funny.." She said.
Krillin frowned at Yamcha. Then he turned towards Rikku. "You don't have to drink it if you don't want to.." He told her.
"Oh come on, just one shot!" Yamcha urged.
Rikku looked at him. She really had no idea what the strange liquid is, but perhaps there's no harm in drinking it, right? After all, Yamcha is Goku's friend.

She raised the glass to her mouth and was about to drink when someone suddenly snatched the glass from her. She looked up and was shocked to see Goku holding the glass away from her with a cold look in his eyes.
"You shouldn't really be drinking this." He said in an icy tone, then he turned towards Yamcha. "She is not going to drink any of this, Yamcha, so you can have it." He said coldly as he shoved the glass in Yamcha's hands.
"Oh come on, Goku. It's just one shot." Yamcha said again.
Goku's eyes narrowed and he placed a hand on Rikku's shoulder. Krillin just looked in awe at how his friend is behaving.
"I said, she's not going to drink. Which part of it don't you understand?" Goku asked in the same tone of voice he used earlier.
Yamcha backed away. "Ok.. Ok.. You don't have to get so pissed off. Jeez, Goku, you're scaring me.." He admitted.
"She's having a baby. That's why I'm not allowing her to drink any of that stuff." Goku said, shocking everyone else who heard what he said.
"Baby? You mean to say Rikku is..." Krillin asked. He could not believe what he heard.
"What are you talking about Goku? Who's baby is she having?" Oolong asked.
That's when Bulma approached. "Ok, everyone. Rikku here is having a baby with Goku. And that's actually the reason why we're all here and having a party." She explained, shocking the others the more.
"Goku... Is that.. Is that true, man?" Krillin turned to him and asked.
Goku nodded. "Yes it is Krillin." He wrapped an arm around Rikku's neck. "We're having a child." He said.
"You mean to say you're going to be a father again?" Tien asked.
Goku nodded.
"Wow man, I'm happy for you!! You deserve it after everything that's happened!" Krillin said as he rose from his seat and stood beside his bestfriend.
Everyone except Vegeta surrounded Goku and congratulated him. All of them were happy for their friend. Bulma approached Yamcha and bonked him on the head, making him flinch.
"Ow Bulma! What was that for?" Yamcha complained.
"For giving Rikku a drink, you idiot!" She replied.
"Well, I didn't know that she had a baby. But you should have seen Goku. He sure looks scary." Yamcha told her.
"I saw everything, buster. So unfortunate that he didn't turn to a Super Saiyan and blast you away." Bulma answered.
"Jeez.. You're so hard on me Bulma." Yamcha remarked, to which Bulma paid no attention.
Suddenly, there was a strong gust of wind. The once clear skies suddenly turned black.
"What time is it, Krillin? I thought it's still morning.." Master Roshi said as he looked at the skies.
Krillin looked at his watch. "It's ten in the morning, Master." He answered.
"Oh.. Then why is it already dark?" Master Roshi asked again, confused.
Everyone tensed and went on guard. Vegeta who was busy with his food stood up and walked towards the group. Rikku had a terrified look on her face and she clutched Goku's arm tightly. She knew that Zarr had come. This is exactly what happened on their Planet when he attacked them.
Goku looked at the girl who started trembling. She had a look of fear on her face. "What is it, Princess? Why are you so afraid?" He asked with concern.
"It's him, Goku. He's coming." She answered in a shaky voice.
Sure enough, the ground shook and there was a huge explosion. When the smoke cleared, a tall man clad in black robe appeared in front of them. He had a black hood draped over his head so no one could see his face yet. But they saw that he had long, claw like nails on his hands. Rikku shivered in fear. She remembered how her brother died in those hands.
The figure looked up and removed his robe, revealing his scary appearance. His face was thin and white, and he had red eyes. He also had long, sharp teeth. His eyes fixed their stare on Rikku, who by now stood beside Goku and gripped his arm as tight as she could.
"We meet again, Princess." He greeted her in a cold voice. Then he turned to look at Goku and Vegeta. "And look who's here with us. Kakarot and Prince Vegeta.. The remaining survivors of the Saiyan race." He said menacingly.
"Who are you? And why do you know about us Saiyans?" Vegeta asked angrily.
"I am Zarr, the last living inhabitant of Planet Ziru. The planet that your father, the King, ordered to be conquered. You Saiyans attacked us and we were all helpless and under your mercy, yet King Vegeta ordered each and everyone of us to be killed. But I survived. And eversince I had nothing on my mind but to have my revenge against you! But Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta and your comrades, so I thought I would never be able to have my revenge. Lucky for me, I learned that there are still remaining survivors of the Saiyan race. You, the Prince and Kakarot. I went from planet to planet to track you down. The last planet I came from is Planet Marak." He looked at Rikku. "Home of Princess Rikku. Though I didn't find you there, I considered myself lucky when I landed on that planet. Because I have found the one with whom I can start the rebirth of my race with. Prince Virku tried his best, but now he's dead. No one can stop me from having the Princess for myself." He said as he eyed Rikku maliciously.
Goku felt his anger rise when he heard what Zarr said. He instantly turned into a Super Saiyan and stared at Zarr with a look of pure anger and hate.
"You will not touch her. I'll rip you to pieces and kill you myself if you ever tried or did!" Goku said angrily, wrapping an arm protectively around the Princess.
"Oh.. Look. Seems like Kakarot has developed some feelings for the Princess. I would like to see you try to kill me, Saiyan. Don't worry, I won't kill you easily if I beat you. I'll be more than happy to claim Princess Rikku right before your eyes and start the rebirth of the Ziru race." Zarr answered with an evil laugh.
That was too much for Goku. Before everyone else could react, he had already lunged towards Zarr and delivered a bone crushing blow towards Zarr's gut. Zarr winced in pain and backed a few steps. He wiped off some blood that trickled down his lips.
"That will be the last time you will ever hit me, Saiyan!" He shouted as he fired a ki blast towards Goku who just dodged it effortlessly.
"You have to do better than that if you want to kill us." Goku said to him, angering him the more.
Vegeta soon stepped in. "What are you waiting for, weakling? Attack now with everything you've got!" Vegeta yelled as he too powered up and changed into a Super Saiyan.
Zarr raised his power level and lunged towards Vegeta, but in just a second, Vegeta was gone from where he was before. Before Zarr could even find where Vegeta had gone off to, he was hit by a ki blast from behind, which sent him flying a few feet away.
"Tch, I don't waste my time on weaklings!" Vegeta snapped.
Goku turned to his friends. "All of you, get inside the building now. It's too dangerous here. Leave this to us." He told them.
"No Goku. I can't leave you here." Rikku protested.
"Rikku, listen to me! You should all go inside now! I will not allow you to fight with us, not with your condition!" Goku answered in an angry tone. It's dangerous for her to fight. Even if they are dealing with a weakling, he could not risk letting her fight alongside them.
"He's right, Rikku. You should all go inside. Everyone, come on!" Trunks said as he led everyone to safety. Rikku looked at Goku who resumed fighting with Zarr. Tears formed in the corner of her eyes. "Please win, Goku.." She said softly as she followed the others who hurriedly ran towards Capsule Corp.
Soon, explosions could be heard in all of Capsule Corp. Zarr tried his best to overpower Goku and Vegeta but apparently, they were too strong. At the back of his mind he was wondering. How did these two get stronger?
"What now? Admit defeat, monster!" Vegeta shouted at Zarr.
"Never!" With that, Zarr yelled and increased his power level even more, making the ground shake. If he needs to use every ounce of energy on his body, then so be it. The two saiyans looked on as his body mass and height started to increase, his nails as well as his teeth got longer and sharper. Spikes also grew on his back, ripping the robe he once wore.
"I am going to destroy you!!!!" He yelled as he fired a surprise ki blast towards the two.
Meanwhile, the others who were now inside Capsule Corp watched as Zarr transformed into a monstrous being. Rikku looked on and saw the now transformed Zarr firing a ki blast directly towards the two Saiyans.
"Goku!!" She cried. Before everyone else could even react, she made her way towards the door and ran back towards the battlefield.
"Rikku!!! Oh my god! Come back!!" Bulma yelled. Then she turned to Trunks. "Get her Trunks!! It's too dangerous!" She said to her son. Trunks just nodded and hurried off to get Rikku.
Rikku levitated from the ground and sprinted towards where the two Saiyans and Zarr are. She saw that Goku and Vegeta were now wounded and Zarr seemed to be having the upperhand. She fired a big blast towards Zarr, distracting him and drawing his attention away from the two Saiyans, giving them time to plan their next move.
Zarr looked at her. "Why, Princess. Feisty now aren't we? Don't worry, I'm not going to kill Kakarot. He still has a show to watch." He said menacingly.
Goku looked up and saw Rikku about to fire another blast towards the monster. "Rikku no!!! Get back! It's too dangerous here!!" He shouted at her.
"I won't let you die, Goku.. I won't let this monster kill you.. Like how he killed my brother." Rikku shouted back as she fired a blast towards Zarr. He dodged it this time, and he lunged towards her. She backed away just in time to dodge his grasp.
"If this is the way you wanted it, Princess.. Then so be it." Zarr said as he fired a shot towards Rikku. It hit her shoulder, and she winced in pain. When the smoke cleared, she saw the left part of her clothes ripped off, and blood was gushing out of a deep wound on her shoulder.
Zarr looked at her and smiled maliciously. "I would like to see more, princess!" He said as he fired another blast. This time, Rikku kicked the blast away.
"No you won't!" She yelled.
Goku looked on and saw Rikku got wounded. "Rikku stay back now!!!" He shouted angrily at her.
"Of course I would." Zarr said as he concentrated a great amount of his energy and formed a big blast.
"This is for you, princess!" Zarr yelled.
"Rikku!!!! No!!!!!!!!!!!" Goku shouted, looking horrified.
Rikku fired a counterattack in hopes to dodge Zarr's attack. However, this time, she wasn't so fortunate, as Zarr's blast attack slowly overpowered her. A big explosion was heard, and the grounds shook from impact. Goku looked on as the smoke cleared slowly, revealing a now unconscious and half naked Rikku with her upper body all bloodied up. She was rapidly falling towards the ground and he quickly made his way towards where she would fall. He made it just in time, catching her bloodied and broken body in his arms before she even hit the ground.
"Rikku.. Wake up. Princess.. Please wake up." Goku said frantically as he shook her gently. She didn't budge. He placed a finger on her neck and he was horrified because he felt no pulse. Then he saw blood trickling in between her legs. He felt cold at once. He concentrated hard on feeling her energy signal as well as the child growing inside of her. His world seemed to shatter when he felt none. No energy signal, from either her or his child.
"No... Don't leave me please... Rikku.." Goku said as tears formed in his eyes and spilled down his face. They landed on Rikku's bloodied body. He held her close to him as he cried. he didn't care if Vegeta or his other friends could see him at all. He sobbed like a child and whined for her to come back and not to leave him over and over again. But she remained unconscious.
Goku felt more than hurt. Now, she too, was gone. Gone because of this monster who desired nothing but revenge. He could feel power coursing through his body because of the immense anguish and anger that he felt. He had found happiness, only for it to be taken away from him cruelly again. With a heartbroken cry, a golden aura surrounded him as his power level rose and he ascended towards the second level of Super Saiyan.

A/N: You might be wondering why Goku only became Super Saiyan 2. Well, their enemy isn't really that strong like the major villains or the movie villains. I think Super Saiyan 2 Goku is already enough to kill him. Also, Goku in his Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 form is hot!!!! :D
