A/N: Ugh, that cliff hanger was weird to start from. Never again! ><
Kakarot was frozen. “Wh-What?”
Vegeta was afraid to continue. However, he knew he must and looked elsewhere to form his words. “I was planning on telling you sometime, but I didn’t think it would be so soon.” He wanted to cry when he felt Kakarot pull away from him and stood up to pace the room.
This went on for a while until Kakarot managed to form a sentence in his head. “How long have you been…engaged?” He had to force himself to say the word as he stopped his pacing to hear an answer, his back facing him.
“Since the day after the first night I saw you. So, a couple weeks now.” The noble started fidgeting in his place on the floor as Kakarot continued to panic. He didn’t want to tell him that this has been planned his whole life, but that would just make things worse.
“And…when are you supposed to be wedded?”
Vegeta cringed at the sad tone in his lover’s voice. “By the end of the month.” Silence ensued for a minute until Vegeta felt like he had to confess more. “Kakarot. If it makes a difference, I never slept with him. After all, it’s forbidden for us to…consummate before the ceremony, but he’s been persistent lately. I swear to you, this is all he’s done.” He gestured to the mark on his neck, but Kakarot wasn’t looking.
Kakarot froze when he first heard it. “He?”
Vegeta swallowed. “Y-Yes. I am to be wedded to the son of my Master.”
The samurai turned to face him. “Who is your Master?”
Vegeta hesitated, but he felt like he owed him this much. “Koga no Hara. His son is-”
“Ookami.” Kakarot finished for him and growled.
Vegeta was a bit surprised. “How did you know?” He tensed when he remembered something the samurai said a while ago. “And how did you know who I was when I told you my name when we fought? Hardly anyone knows I exist, except for our allies…and probably some enemies.”
Kakarot tensed at the questions. “Like I said. Maybe you’ll find out tomorrow.”
Vegeta didn’t probe any further. After all, he was hiding a big secret from him, but then again, he might be too. He decided to wait until tomorrow to see if he’ll find out more from his ally. The noble stood from his spot and made his way over to his lover. He wanted to touch him as he stood in front of him, but held back. “Can you forgive me?” An ounce of hope entered his heart as he also tried to prepare it in case he was rejected.
Kakarot looked like he was at a loss for words as a pitied look came across his features and he embraced the noble. “I know it’s not your choice whether or not to marry him, but it’s wrong of us to be together.”
Vegeta shook with anger as tears welled up in his eyes. “Stop saying that. Just…stop saying that!” He didn’t pull away from the embrace and Kakarot didn’t let go either. “You’re the only one that gives me a reason to stay here! You’re the only one I care about in my caged life!” He choked back a sob. “You’re the only one that has given me a sense of freedom and…you’re the only one…I love.” He pressed himself against the samurai as a few stray tears escaped and landed on his bare chest.
Kakarot stared forward with sadness in his eyes as he held his noble tightly to him. “Vegeta…I’m the only other person you’ve met. You haven’t lived your life yet. You…don’t know who you love…”
Vegeta tensed and pulled back. “What are you saying?”
The samurai wiped away a few tears from the handsome noble’s face. “I’m saying that what you’re feeling now, may only be temporary. You may not feel the same feelings for me in a few year’s time, since you’re still so young-”
“How old are you, Kakarot?” Vegeta asked determinedly as Kakarot was put a little off guard.
“Uh, twenty one.”
“Ha! I’m young? You’re only two years older than me. Surely you’ve been in my position before…how do you feel about me?” Kakarot looked like he was about to answer when he stopped himself and looked away. Vegeta was starting to panic. “Well?”
Kakarot looked him in the eyes. “I care about you, Vegeta, but…I’ve also trained myself to where I shouldn’t completely trust someone. I know what it’s like to have a broken heart and I don’t want you to feel the same.” He leaned his forehead against Vegeta’s.
“I won’t. Not unless you leave me.” Vegeta whispered.
Kakarot sighed and closed his eyes. “I…might have to. Who knows.”
Vegeta growled. “Damn it, Kakarot! You’re going to have to fight for your freedom if you want to live your life the way you want to! I can’t help you if you don’t let me!” He pulled back slightly to look the samurai in the eye.
Kakarot opened his eyes at the words. “I am fighting. It’s just that…it’s…complicated.” He looked hopeless as he tried to explain his position as best as he could.
“Well, not everything is easy, Kakarot! Especially living in a corrupted era such as this!” He sighed. “We’re in this together. I want to help you, Kakarot, but you got to give me a chance. You have to trust me.”
Kakarot sighed in frustration and stepped away from the noble, only to start pacing again. Vegeta hated seeing him so upset. It seems like the samurai has been on edge ever since he met him. He suppose he couldn’t blame him for not fully trusting him. After all he’s been through…he’d probably be the same way too. After endless minutes of pacing, Vegeta finally stood in the way of his path and rested his palm against his cheek. “Let’s not worry about this tonight. There’s always tomorrow, when I have more answers. Let’s spend the little time we have together.” He took a step closer, wanting to be close to the samurai, who stepped back.
“Listen, Vegeta. We can’t be together. You’re getting married. I mean, what we’ve been doing lately hasn’t been very honorable and I don’t want to take you down with me. You have a very promising life ahead of you and I don’t want to ruin it.”
Vegeta growled, his patience wearing thin. It’s like talking to his Master. How many times must he say it? “Kakarot, I don’t care about that! I don’t want to be with him! I want to be with you! I don’t care who finds out and I don’t care if I’m being targeted! I don’t care if this whole thing with the Doumei clan doesn’t work out and we’ll be running our whole lives! Idiot. Don’t you get it? I want to go wherever you go. I don’t care what happens or what we do…as long as we’re together.” He took Kakarot’s hand and held it in both of his. “Even if we are going against the law and my Father’s wishes, if it means being with you and doing whatever we please, then I rather choose that life than the one I have now.” (If that’s not true love, then I don’t know what is :/).
Kakarot was speechless. “You…you would do that? Give up everything you had? Give up your whole life just to…be with me?”
Vegeta nodded. “Yes.” He smiled and held Kakarot’s hand to his face. “I’d do anything for you, Kakarot.”
Kakarot smiled back and caressed his beautiful noble’s face. He brought him closer and kissed him. They both stayed together like that as their passion grew and their bond became stronger. They parted for air as Kakarot held Vegeta close to him and sighed. “I don’t like you being wedded to a man like Ookami anyway. Perhaps…it would be best to take you away from here.”
Vegeta smirked at the thought. “That’s not a bad idea. I would suggest to leave tonight, but first I must speak with Lord Akuto. Then, we can run.”
Kakarot’s heart beat faster at the thought of him and Vegeta running together. He chuckled. “When you put it that way, it sounds…kind of romantic.”
Vegeta chuckled in return and sealed their lips together once more. He took note to find out how the samurai knows about the noble’s in the area and to investigate more about his past. For now, he pressed his samurai against the wall and continued to heatedly kiss him, then hopped into his arms and wrapped his legs around his waist. Kakarot held onto his noble tightly and stumbled forward until they were next to the fire, then he laid out the panting noble below him. He pulled back to take off Vegeta’s pants as Vegeta leaned up to continue kissing him, not being able to withstand having space between them.
The rest of their clothing was successfully discarded as they slid against each other and their tongues tangled together. Kakarot pulled back as a thought occurred to him. Surprising, considering what he’s doing right this minute. “So, you mentioned before that…you were never taken by him. Does that mean…?” His question trailed off as Vegeta slowly caught on.
He smirked. “Yes, Kakarot. You were my first.” He leaned up and licked the samurai’s ear. “I gave you my virginity and if I could do it again, I wouldn’t change a thing.” He whispered heatedly as he gave Kakarot’s shoulders and chest some attention.
He then flipped them over as Vegeta laid out on Kakarot’s well-defined body. Kakarot closed his eyes as he panted at the sensation and ran his fingers through the noble’s hair and down his back. Vegeta shivered at the touch in delight and slowly moved to straddle the samurai’s hips. He smirked down at him as Kakarot ran his hands down his thighs, then rested them above the back of his knees. Vegeta raked his fingers down Kakarot’s chest as he arched his back and lifted himself, then successfully seated himself on Kakarot’s excited erection. He moaned loudly at the pleasant feeling of being filled and began to lift his hips and push back down at a steady pace. It didn’t seem to hurt as much as last time.
Kakarot panted at the heat encompassing his manhood as he watched through half-lidded, lust-filled eyes at his moaning lover. He moved his hands to those slim hips as he gripped them and helped his small lover along. This gave him the ability to move his hips to match the pace of the noble’s and they both cried out as the sensation grew. “Aaah! Kakarot! Nnnn!” Vegeta jumped slightly as that spot inside him was pleasantly, but unexpectedly, hit.
Kakarot hesitated in his movements at the cry. “Did I hurt you?”
Vegeta had his eyes clenched shut as he shook his head. “No. Keep going.”
The samurai relaxed at his lover’s reassurance and sped up his movements. Vegeta cried out more as that spot was hit over and over. Soon, it was constantly being hit at a continuous pace as Vegeta’s cries became louder. “Oh, Kakarot!” The feeling was so overwhelming, the pressure building in his lower stomach finally released and spilled over Kakarot’s chest and both of their stomach’s.
Kakarot gasped as that heated passage tightened around him and hearing the cries of his lover had pushed him over the edge and he cried out a wordless cry to the ceiling. Vegeta moaned at the feeling of the warm wetness that coated his insides and collapsed on top of his spent lover. They held each other as they caught their breath and regained their strength. Vegeta moved off of Kakarot a little so he could give him some room to breathe and cuddled into his side. Kakarot wrapped a tingling arm around his small lover and kissed his forehead. “You really…need to know…which of my cries…is pain or pleasure.” Vegeta said in between pants.
Kakarot chuckled. “Yeah. I’m not very good at that.” They laid like that until Vegeta was about to succumb to sleep. However, he remembered what he had to do tomorrow and sat up.
“I should go. If I stay any longer, it’ll be like last night.” He stood to find his clothes, then got dressed. His legs shook as he pulled on his pants and wobbled a little while he put on his shirt; the after effects of their recent activity causing his limbs to become weak.
Kakarot watched him get dressed in disappointment. “I can walk you home if you like.”
Vegeta smiled softly at his samurai while he put on his shoes. “I appreciate the thought, but you can’t go out, remember?”
Kakarot frowned. “Aw, come on. I’ve been cooped up in here all day. I’ll go crazy if I don’t go out every once in a while.” When it looked like convincing him with words wasn’t going to work, he tried facial expressions instead. His eyes became big and sad as his lip stuck out a little in a pouting form.
Vegeta sighed. How can he deny that look? “Alright. I guess going out at night is the best time for you to do so, but you still have to be careful.”
The samurai smiled in triumph as he quickly stood and got dressed. As soon as they were both ready, they headed down the trail that lead to town, both in no hurry as they took their time walking to their destination. Kakarot couldn’t help but notice that Vegeta seemed more tense the closer they got. He stepped closer and wrapped an arm around his waist as they walked side by side. Vegeta was caught off guard by the move. “What’s this about?”
Kakarot smiled softly. “You seem a bit tense, thought I’d lighten the mood.” He nuzzled his face into the crook of the noble’s neck until it became too difficult to walk.
Vegeta stopped and gently pushed against him. “I appreciate your concern, but I’m fine, Kakarot.” Kakarot reluctantly let the noble go, who took a few steps before a hand on his arm stopped him. Vegeta sighed and turned to him. Kakarot narrowed his eyes at him in a meaningful stare as he waited for an explanation. Vegeta exhaled slowly as he looked at the ground. “I…yelled at my Father today. It seems that I’m constantly disappointing him. I’m…not sure what to do to make him happy except…to marry that…conniving bastard. Maybe…it would be better just to leave. It seems my only purpose is to please others, but it seems I can’t even fulfill that. The easiest thing to do…is to find my own happiness.” He lifted his gaze back to Kakarot and stepped closer to him. “As soon as this whole thing with the Doumei clan is cleared up, we’ll run. Just you and me. That alone…will make me happy.” He smiled softly and leaned up to kiss his samurai.
Kakarot watched him in surprise as the noble spilled out the issues of his day until he kissed him. He responded to the kiss in a passionate way, trying to sooth all of Vegeta’s stress and problems away. Vegeta pulled away with a sigh, his eyes still closed as if the kiss actually took away all his stress. Kakarot smiled and stroked his hair back as Vegeta slowly opened his eyes at the motion. “You know, I don’t think your Father is disappointed. It could be that he’s proud of you and loves you, but doesn’t know how to express it. Or it could be that he’s worried about you because you have so much going through your life right now and he wants to help you, but is probably afraid to ask you unless you go to him first.”
Vegeta looked up at the samurai in shock at first, then understanding. He chuckled lightly and looked to the side. “That’s what my Mother said.”
“Well, maybe she’s right.” Kakarot took a hold of his chin and gently turned his face his way. “You have to trust someone if you want them to help you.” He smiled as he basically said the same thing that Vegeta had said earlier.
Vegeta was surprised at how the sentence applied to him as well. “I’ll…talk to him.”
Kakarot’s gentle smile turned into a grin. “I hope so. It would be bad to leave things as they are.”
“I couldn’t agree more.” Vegeta returned the smile and turned towards the direction of his home, then inhaled and exhaled slowly, as if trying to reassure himself that he could do it. As they entered town, they walked through the least populated areas to avoid being detected. A few questions have popped up in Vegeta’s mind since their last conversation and even though he promised himself to research it later, he couldn’t help but ask. “So, what about your parents?”
Kakarot hesitated in his step and tensed. “Uhh…well…” Should he lie or tell the truth? “They died when I was very young. I don’t remember them very well, but I know they were good people.” He looked at the ground as he walked.
Vegeta looked at the samurai with pity. “I’m sorry…and here I was complaining about my own. I guess having ones that piss you off are better than having none at all.”
Kakarot smiled at him. “Yes. You are very lucky. From what I’ve heard, your parents seem to love you very much.”
Vegeta smiled back. “You think so, huh?” Kakarot nodded. Vegeta’s smile turned sad at knowing that the samurai has gone through many years without anyone telling him they cared for him. He walked closer to him and held his hand in his own as they walked. Kakarot looked at him in surprise before smiling and squeezing his hand gently as they walked the rest of the way in comfortable silence.

I wasn’t thinking about putting a lemon in this chapter, but…I did anyways hehe. When you have nothing to write, sometimes the ideas just come to you as you write down whatever comes to mind, hehe. X) Ugh, Vegeta is getting OOC, no? >< I have to remind myself that he’s not the same Vegeta in DBZ and that he’ll be more ignorant and naïve in this one. After all, they do have different lives, hehe. :/ I don’t know. It’s still weird. >.> Alrighty, anyway…now that these two seem to be hunky dory, time to move on with the plot. :)
