Vegeta and Trunks as well as the others who watched from inside of Capsule Corp were startled when they felt Goku's power level rise. Even Zarr was baffled, and they all looked on as the golden aura faded, revealing Goku who is now in his Super Saiyan 2 form. He was now standing while he carried the bloodied body of Rikku in his arms. His head was bowed so no one could really see his face.
"You've taken too many innocent lives. And now you have gone too far." He said in an icy tone as he walked towards Zarr who now descended from the ground.
Vegeta and Trunks looked on. They knew that Goku was now angry, and nothing would stop him from killing this creature in front of them. In a way, Vegeta felt a sense of pride for Goku. 'So, he's really not a clown all the time. He could also be a true Saiyan sometimes.' Vegeta thought to himself.
"You have gone too far, and I can never forgive you for this. You have no right to kill Rikku, especially my child!" Goku said as he looked directly at Zarr, tears still in his eyes and his voice full of emotion.
"Oh. So the little princess is having a Saiyan child is that it? Well, to tell you the truth, Kakarot, I didn't really intend to kill her with that blast. It was all an accident that she died. But now that I've learned that she's having your child, then I guess it's only right that she died. Saiyans and those who are bearing Saiyans do not deserve to live!" Zarr answered in a taunting voice.
His words made Goku angrier. "You talk too much!" He screamed as he fired a surprise blast towards Zarr, hitting his left arm and blasting it away.
Zarr looked horrified as he saw blood gushing out of the spot where his left arm once was. "You filthy Saiyan! How dare you!" He yelled at Goku. He lunged towards the Saiyan and threw punches and kicks on him, but Goku evaded them all with ease. Zarr then tried to blast him off with ki shots, but Goku easily deflected them as well.
Goku looked at him with pure hatred and disgust. "I've had enough of you, monster. And now, it's over." He said as he prepared to fire his most powerful attack. With Rikku's body in his arms, it was kind of difficult to charge and power up but he managed to do it on one hand.
"Ka...me...ha...me...ha!!!!!!" He screamed as he fired his signature attack towards the monster. At first Zarr tried all of his best to deflect it, but eventually he was overpowered by the blast since Goku gave too much power in it. In the end, the monster screamed as he was completely obliterated, saying over and over again, up to the last minute, that it was impossible that he got beaten by a Saiyan as well.
"Is it... Over now?" Bulma asked the others who were watching the fight with her inside of Capsule Corp.
"I guess so.. I don't feel the enemy's energy anymore.." Krillin replied.
They all watched as the smoke cleared, revealing Goku who was still in his Super Saiyan 2 form, but he was now kneeling on the ground with the Princess' body still enclosed in his arms. He had his back turned towards them so no one could see his face. Vegeta approached him.
"Kakarot." He called out to his fellow Saiyan.
Goku turned to look at him, and Vegeta was completely surprised with what he saw. Tears were again streaming down Goku's face, and he had a look of defeat in his eyes. Under normal curcumstances, Vegeta would usually mock Goku if he saw him like this, acting weak and all. But not now. Vegeta knew how Goku felt. He had lost everything before, now it has happened again. At the back of his mind he wondered how he would take it if these things had happened to him instead of Goku. He surely would have acted the same, or maybe even weaker, he thought.
"She's.. She's gone Vegeta.. They're gone.. My child.. It's gone." Goku said as he cried. He was thinking why, why did all of this have to happen to him?
Vegeta didn't know what to say. He looked down at the girl intently and tried to sense if there was still some trace of life left in her. Then suddenly, his eyes widened.
"Kakarot, I think she's still alive.. I can sense something in her, but it's rapidly fading." Vegeta said, giving Goku a glimmer of hope.
Trunks soon approached them. "Let's take her inside first, Goku. That way, we can figure out better if she and your child is still alive." He said.
Goku nodded softly as he stood up and followed Vegeta and Trunks who walked back towards Capsule Corp.
Bulma and the others watched, horrified when they saw Rikku's body. Bulma offered to get a senzu bean and she left the others for a while. When the 3 saiyans entered, Goku clutched the princess' body close to him, her blood staining his clothes. Since she was already half naked, he hugged her in such a way that her body would be covered and no one else would be able to see her exposed parts.
Bulma soon returned and handed Goku a senzu bean. "Make her eat this." She said. Goku nodded and placed the bean on Rikku's mouth. He waited for a while and Rikku's wounds started to clear up. Soon, he felt her energy signal returning to its normal state. He also felt another familiar energy signal. His child. It was alive as well. Goku smiled as tears threatened to fall from his eyes again, though this time they were tears of joy.
Rikku started to stir. Her eyes fluttered and she opened them. She saw a pair of greenish blue eyes looking back down at her gently and she recognized at once that it was Goku. But are those tears on his eyes? Why was he crying?
"Goku?...why.. Why are you crying?" She asked softly as she placed her hand on his cheek.
He touched her hand and smiled. "I thought I had lost you..." He replied.
She looked around and saw the others looking at her with smiles on all of their faces. Then she remembered what happened. She got caught in Zarr's blast, and after that everything went black.
Then she remembered something. Her baby! What had happened to her baby?
As if he read her mind, he smiled at her. "Don't worry. The baby is fine.. After all, he is a Saiyan." He told her.
She smiled back at him. "Saiyans are really something, I guess." She said.
"So... I guess we'll all be having the party some other time? We still need to do a lot of repair, as I can see it." Krillin pointed out.
Bulma nodded. "Yeah.. I'll call you guys and inform you when." She said.
The others also agreed and they all said their goodbyes and headed to each of their homes. Goku teleported back to his house so he and his princess could both rest.
They appeared right in the middle of Goku's house. "Goku.. Why do you look different now?" Rikku asked.
It was then that he realized that he was still transformed. "Oh.. This is my Super Saiyan 2 form. I got so angry when I saw that monster hit you, so I ascended past from Super Saiyan." He explained to her as he powered down. He was soon back in his normal state.
Rikku nodded in understanding. He then went upstairs to his bedroom and laid her gently on the bed. Then he lied down beside her and wrapped an arm around her midsection. It was then that Rikku looked at herself and she almost screamed because she saw that she was half naked.
She tried to stand but he prevented her from doing so. "Goku.. I'm going to dress up.. Can't you see, I'm half naked?" She pointed out.
He smiled at her. "Yes, I can see. But you don't need to dress up." He answered.
"But.." She wasn't able to finish when he suddenly kissed her hard on her lips. The kiss soon turned passionate and he buried one hand in her hair, while his other hand travelled around her exposed upper body. Then she felt something hard pressing against her, and she blushed when she realized what it was.
He let go of her lips and pulled her closer to him. "Don't leave me Princess. I was scared a while ago because I thought that you were killed. I don't think I can handle the pain of losing someone important again. That's why I got so angry and I killed that creature." He said to her.
She wrapped her arms around his back. "I'm sorry if I defied you Goku. You told me not to fight but still I went and attacked him. I just didn't want him to kill you, like what he did to my brother." She said.
He kissed her hair. "It's ok, Princess. Just don't leave.." He answered softly.
"I'm not leaving Goku. Because I have found my home. I am home. Here in your arms." She answered.
He smiled and once again they shared a kiss and soon made love. Now they both found the reason to be happy and to live again. They now have each other, and soon another being will be born to make their happiness complete.
They couldn't ask for more.
