Getting home

Yay, second chapter. I forgot to mention, I added a bit to Treed, something I thought of while writing this chapter. Thanks for reading and reviewing, Enjoy!

Getting home

Morning was more fun. Roy woke to a warm body snuggled against him and nuzzled his bed partner awake with kisses and murmurs of love. As always, Ed responded gratifyingly with moans and shivers. “Want to play a game?” Gold bangs nodded from their place against his shoulder. The older man smirked and pushed him back a little to kneel in front of him. “You have to do what I do to you to me. Or, do you want to lead this time?” That had potential, let Ed ask for what he wanted. He was so shy, it shouldn’t be a risk. Gold eyes widened then crossed a little and Roy fought not to laugh out loud.

“Really?” Roy nodded. “Anything?”

“Yes, anything.” The look in his eyes made him rethink his generosity. “That you want done to you.” Better throw that out again. A small hand lifted and moved towards his chest and he mirrored it, hovering above sleep warmed skin. The slim fingers were shaking and Roy could feel the tiny vibrations on his skin and moaned softly. Ed started and his hand landed against a flat nipple. A gasp caught in the older man’s throat at the contact. Shit, he was losing control, it was more than he’d thought. Though, it usually was with Edward.

Movement pulled his attention back and he pressed his hand to the blond’s chest and rubbed lightly, pinching the hard nipple that way his was being pinched, applying the same pressure, guiding his lover in his explorations. A bit hard here, the pressure backed off when it was returned, and changed, evolving into the perfect touch. His hand stayed on Ed’s chest, waiting for further instructions. The boy was shooting glances at his other hand but it stayed put, mirroring his auto-mail.

It finally lifted and hesitantly touched his stomach, immediately mirrored by Roy’s. Their breath was coming in light pants, but Roy wouldn’t go further than asked. Frustrated whines started; Ed was too shy to ask for more. “Go ahead, Edward, anything is alright. What do you want to happen?” The flesh hand immediately reached down and grasped his erection. Roy gasped at the sudden contact and reflexively grabbed the boy’s wrist.

It was immediately pulled back, as was the metal hand. “No, no, Ed, it’s ok, you just surprised me. Here, it’s alright, you were doing perfectly.” He replaced the hands on his body and put his hands back to mirror them. Small circles on the smooth chest soothed the tension away and Ed relaxed, moving slowly and pulling gently. Roy copied him and the tentative touches firmed as his need grew. The dry friction quickly grew to be too much and Roy stopped him to reach the bottle on the side table.

A small pool of oil was poured into his hand and he clasped Ed’s against his, warming the oil and spreading it over both hands before allowing them to return to their positions. Moans filled the air as they stroked quickly. Roy leaned over and slid his tongue over Ed’s lips, running his free hand over the boy’s chest, playing with the pert nipples and pushing his lover closer to the edge. “Come with me Ed, take me with you.” Not enough, he was just too inexperienced.

Suddenly, the metal hand moved further down, dragging through black curls to cup tight balls, lifting them and pressing gently. Roy’s nails dug into the chest they had been petting as he came, shooting over their stomachs. Ed’s back arched at the small pain and he bucked into the warm liquid and came, covering them again.

“Was it ok?” Ed looked at Roy from his side, they hadn’t moved from where they’d collapsed facing each other.

A slow eyebrow rose and black eyes opened slowly, “You have to ask? That was fantastic, Ed.” The eyes closed again, he definitely needed a rest.

“Even though we didn’t, um, you know, have, ah” Mercy was needed.

And Roy provided. “Even though we didn’t have intercourse? Remember I told you we were working on a relationship? Sex isn’t everything, nor is it all about intercourse. It’s about enjoying your partner and having them enjoy you. Relax, did you have fun?” The bright blush told him ‘yes’ “Well, I did too and that’s all that matters. I’m going back to sleep, ok? Train leaves in three hours. Wake me in two.” He laid his head down and started to drift off.

“Roy?”

“Mmm?”

“Thank you.” A dip in the bed and he was gone, the door closing softly behind him. Roy grinned to himself and drifted off.

*****************************

Two and a half-hours later, they were running through the streets, frantically trying to get to the station. “Where did you go? I thought you were going wake me up in two hours?”

Ed raced along beside him, his legs moving twice as fast as Roy’s. “I WAS, I just saw this neat shop and then I had breakfast and there was this guy doing alchemy so I stopped to chat and”

A gloved hand waved impatiently at him. “Doesn’t matter, why weren’t you watching the time? If anyone sees me running like an idiot, I’m taking it out of your hide.” Ed grinned at him. “And you won’t enjoy it. Runt.” He sped up, making Ed work off his rant to keep up. The train was warming up as they sped into the station and just made it before it started away.

All the private cars were full and it didn’t help Roy’s bad mood to sit on a hard bench, surrounded by people. Didn’t bother Ed, he curled up and settled for a nap. “What are you doing?”

A gold eye opened, “Going to sleep.”

Roy’s head shook, “Oh no, get up, I came all the way out here, you can keep me company on the way back. Make conversation. Do you always sleep on the train?”

The blond grunted as he dragged himself back upright and slouched so he could put his feet up beside Roy. “Yep.”

The dark-haired alchemist slapped the boots down. “You’ll get my uniform dirty. No wonder you’re always so hyper, between sleeping all the time and drinking that syrup you call coffee.”

A heavy boot deliberately kicked at the shiny shoes, scuffing the top. “I don’t sleep all the time, and it’s hard work you know, I use a lot of energy during the day. Not all of us can sit on our asses all day in a nice cozy office. At least I don’t just live on caffeine like you. I’ve seen you drink coffee all day. Gross.”

“Hey, you’re polishing those. Speaking of food, where’s breakfast?” A gloved hand was held out and made a gimme motion.

“What? I didn’t get you anything, you didn’t say you wanted anything.” Roy stared and made another gimme wave. “I’m serious, no food. I didn’t think you were hungry.”

“But, you always have food! Half the time I see you, you have something in your mouth. Don’t you even consider starting to laugh, this isn’t funny.” He crossed his arms and slumped into his seat.

Ed bit his lip, “Well, Al usually has food. He just gives me lots so I don’t get hungry. I can be crabby when I’m hungry.” He rubbed the back of his neck and smiled charmingly. “I’ll get you something when we get home, promise.” Roy just glared. Ed moved over to sit beside him, not too close but close enough to hide what he was doing with his body. One of Roy’s hands was dragged away from his chest and patted. “Don’t be mad, I’ll buy you something nice, wherever you want to go. I’ll even dress up in those stupid pants we got.” He was watched from the corner of a black eye and a smile twitched. He took it as a ‘yes, you’re forgiven’ and gave one last pat before standing to move back to his own seat.

Halfway around, he froze, staring down the car. Roy looked up then leaned over to see what had caught his attention. A pretty woman with long blond hair in a braid was standing at the end of the car, talking with a blond man. “Ed, sit down.” The boy didn’t move, his gaze remaining on the woman and even shifted down a bit. “Edward” Roy hissed between clenched teeth. Really, pretty was all fine and great, but staring at a woman’s ass while your boyfriend was RIGHT BESIDE you was too much. He reached over and grabbed Ed’s sleeve, pulling him around to give him a piece of his mind and met yellow eyes. Oh, shit. They were fucked; he was changing, right here in public. The bright eyes moved back to the woman and Roy realized it wasn’t her ass, it was her braid, swaying with the movement of the train, which had caught his attention. “Ed, sit please. You can look but don’t” He was holding an empty jacket and Ed was halfway down the train.

He bolted to his feet and went after him, adrenaline letting him grab the boy right before he pounced. His arms went around the slim chest and he started to tug him back. The woman had turned and was staring. “So sorry, he hit his head, he just gets little excited. I have him, no cause for concern.” Ed was gonna get it this time, if anyone heard about this… She smiled gently and reached over and patted Ed’s cheek.

“He’s adorable, please take good care of him. I hope he gets better.” No, no, no, no, he wouldn’t. He did, Roy could feel the change as Ed attached himself. His body relaxed and he arched towards her as she turned to leave. Ok, first, isolate. He dragged the boy back to their seats and grabbed a pen from his bag and drew a basic array to make a wall that cut them off.

Next, what did Al say to do? Think, think. Nothing, he didn’t say anything about this. Alright, relax, you can handle this Roy. You’re smart and “No! Edward, get down!” The blond was climbing on the seat, trying to find a way out of the cubicle Roy had created. The older man reached up and dragged him down, avoiding the kick directed at his head. He pushed him down and straddled him to keep him still. “Edward.” A hand on his chin forced the smaller face up to meet Roy’s gaze. “Focus Ed. You have to control yourself, we’ll be home in a few hours. Once we’re home, you can go crazy.” His hand was slapped away.

“No.” Gold eyes glared at him and he almost backed off. “No touch.”

“Alright, will you stay here? I won’t touch you if you don’t want me to, but you have to stay here and do as I tell you in exchange.” A sharp nod and Roy climbed off and sat on the other bench. “Why don’t you have a nap? It’ll make the time go faster.”

The pert nose turned up, “No nap.” Bangs shifted as he looked around, then he bounced over to the window to press his nose against it. Roy shrugged, as long as he was quiet and didn’t cause trouble. He put his feet up on the recently vacated seat and drifted off.

Loud banging woke him. Ed was pressed against the window, fast asleep. He covered him with his coat and used his pen to open the wall. The ticket-master was standing outside, glaring at him. “You can’t just change the train. Who do you think you are?”

“My companion is not feeling well and requires privacy. We are State Alchemists and I am Colonel Roy Mustang.” He flashed his watch and glared the man down. Tickets were presented and stamped before he slunk off, grumbling about military dogs and arrogance. Roy shrugged, he didn’t usually use the watch to get favors, the uniform often did it, but this was an emergency. He replaced the wall and turned to see Ed staring at him. “Awake, did you have a good nap?”

A little huff and the boy turned away to look outside again. “Do you want some cards? I have some you can play with.” The ears didn’t even turn towards him. “Alright, fine. I’ll just play alone.” He got out his deck, one with flames and Celtic designs Havoc had given him years ago and started laying it out. Gold ears twitched with each card he laid down. The Flame Alchemist continued ignoring his charge and started his game. Before he was half done, the boy was kneeling beside the table, staying out of reach but pointing out moves. A few games later and the station was announced. The cards were gathered up and Roy insisted Ed put his hood up before he would take down the wall. They moved quickly through the station, Roy keeping a firm grip on Ed’s right arm. As long he didn’t touch skin, they were alright. A car was waiting and Roy gave orders to be taken directly home.

Al met them at the door and promptly scooped his brother up and into the kitchen. Food was presented within minutes and Ed started to eat quickly. Casting worried looks at his brother, Al questioned Roy. “What happened?”

“He attached to a lady on the train. He’s been fighting it but I told him he could let go when we got home. Should I leave? Will he be able to handle me being here?” Roy hadn’t taken his coat off, and started rummaging through the fridge for things he could take to the office with him.

“I don’t know, maybe. Let’s get him settled in and see what happens. If he can’t do it, we’ll go home. This is your house, so we’ll go.” Al made a plate and placed it on the table.

The house’s owner looked at the plate and the young man sitting at the table. “Alright, we’ll see.” He shrugged off his coat and sat, eating quietly and watching Ed fuss. The ears swiveled and he jerked around at nothing, even Al’s soft familiar clinking made him jump. All evening, he was nervous. None of his usual toys calmed him; the radio just made him crabby, his timed game frustrated him, his puzzles were confusing, his cat was jumped on until Al took it away.

“Maybe we should go, its not too far. I think everything smells like you, reminds him too strongly.” Al had gathered their things and was trying to convince Ed to put on his coat.

Roy sighed, he hated to see them go, but if he was this upset. “If you think it’s best, Al. I’d like you to come back tomorrow evening and see if it gets better.” The metal helmet bowed its assent.

“No!” Ed was kicking at his brother and clinging to the couch.

“Brother, please. Come on, let’s go, you’ll like it better at home.” Al tried to lift him off but he dug his hands into the arm. The larger brother gave up before they wrecked anything and let go.

“Not go. Stay.” Ed hopped off his anchor and ran over to the cupboard, reaching up to the top shelf.

Roy walked over, “What would you like? There’s nothing up here. Just your cat.” Small hands waved. “You want it back? Are you going to wreck it?” Blond bangs shook quickly and the hands waved again. Roy reached up and handed down the stuffed cat. It was handled carefully and placed on the floor in the middle of the room. Ed ran over and flopped on the couch and watched it. “What are you doing?”

“Chirp!” He made squeezing motions with his hands. Roy frowned at him and went over to pick up the toy. He moved to give it to Ed but the boy pushed away down the couch and waved him back.

“You want me to squeeze it for you?” He dug his fingers into the doll, making a loud chirp. The blond laughed and clapped his hands. Roy grinned and sat on the floor, squeezing the toy. Eventually, his hands were sore and he had to stop. Ed slunk closer to poke at him before skittering back. “My hands hurt, Ed. Sorry, no more tonight. Do you want to do something else? Maybe you can play cards with me?”

“No.” Ears twitched at him and the head whipped around to stare at Al. He stalked him and pounced, grabbing at the feather. Al dodged easily, anticipating it from years of practice. “Fight!”

“Sure, let’s go outside to spar. Colonel, would you be our referee? Just call the match when one of us has lost or is too tired to continue.” Roy’s head nodded and he followed the two out.

It was, fascinating, amazing, to watch them spar like this. Completely different from before. Ed was faster, more flexible, but his attacks were more basic. He also seemed able to take a lot more hits, landing easily on his feet and attacking immediately again. Al had to work to prevent hits from landing, his feet leaving the ground more often than usual in an attempt to keep up with his brother. Finally, as Al got in a solid hit to Ed’s chest, a high kick knocked his helmet off. Roy stepped in immediately to call it a tie. Ed got in his face, waving his arms in fury at being stopped until Al called him back. The adrenaline ran the boy in circles around the yard until he collapsed an hour later. Roy had long retreated to the kitchen to make supper and was surprised to see Al carrying the cat boy inside.

“Is he alright?”

“Oh, yes, he was just excited and had to let off some energy. He’ll be fine in a few minutes. How’s supper coming? Would you like help?”

“Certainly, I’m not much of a cook, pasta was all I could come up with.” Chicken pieces were cooking in a pan and Al started a tomato sauce. “Will he be alright tonight? Does he need a room of his own?”

“I don’t know, he’s acting strangely again. He doesn’t want to leave but being here upsets him. I think he wants to be around you but his instincts say not to. Have you been in the guest rooms lately?” Al set the table quickly and dished pasta for his brother, starting him on his meal.

“No, the housekeeper did them last month and I haven’t been in there.” Roy took the plate handed to him and sat across from his blond.

“Good, he should be ok there.” Al stood behind his brother, patting him on the back.

Ed looked up from his meal, “Stay.”

“Yes, Brother, we’re staying here tonight. We’ll see how it goes. Ready for bed?” He nodded and hopped up to go change. The metal suit cleaned the kitchen and let him sit on him a bit before tucking him in.

After a bit, he returned and they played a few games of poker before Roy headed to bed. ‘Please have a good night.’ The older man had no illusions that Al would drag his brother away, kicking and screaming, if he thought it was for the best.

p.s. I guess I didn't make it clear enough, lot of people seem confused. Ed didn't attach to Roy, he attached to the lady on the train. For his instincts, Roy is just another male, but his head wants to be near him. Hopefully that makes things more clear, I'll work on the wording.
