Double Duos

Epilogue: XMAS time, AC 195

“What about this place Heero?” Duo asked, showing Heero a circled ad in the newspaper. Heero and Duo were sitting in a café in Italy looking up housing in the Earth sphere. The wars ended a month ago and the Gundam pilots were taking their separate ways. But Quatre wanted to keep all the piolets together so he was holding a mini chrstmas party fhe Ghe Gundam pilots along with Relena, Noin, Sally and Catherine.

“Hmm.. too small. Come on, aim for something bigger,” Heero instructed. Duo raised an eyebrow.
“Now Heero I know where I get my money from these days but how did you manage to save for a huge ass house?” Duo asked. Heero coughed and ignored the question. Duo got impatient and grabbed Heero’s shoulders, shaking the Japanese boy.
“Ah Heero! Come on! tell me!!” Duo pleaded. Heero finally explained how he’d been hacking into Oz banks and taking their money to fund his missions. In the end he had a large amount of money he still had from Oz that he never used. Duo was greatly impressed.

The two teenagers finished their meals and paid for their lunch. They then made their way back to Duo’s black hoodless jeep. Heero got to the Jeep first.
“Duo, I think someone’s left two bombs in your car,” Heero said stoicly. Duo rolled his eyes.
“God you’re paranoid Heero,” Duo said back. He looked into the front seat of his jeep and saw two medium sized presents. Heero ripped off the folded letter, opened it and read it aloud.

I don’t know if you guys are still weird about me being Duo’s clone but I thought I should let you know that Quatre and I have been in contact since about a month after the White Fang came into power. Unbeknownst to you two, I had been acting as an informant for the other three Gundam pilots. I figured since we might be seeing more of eachother, I should do the nice thing for once and give you guys some Christmas presents.ope ope you like them. Also Quatre’s invited me to his Christmas party next week. Hope to see you guys there.

Duo grabbed the letter from Heero to look at him for himself.
“Now that was unexed!”ed!” Duo said in shock.
“You wanna tell him that yourself?” Heero asked. Duo lookedin cin confusion. He saw Heero looking off to his left, so he looked to the left also to see Daimon standing on the corner. Daimon stayed to see that the two ex-pilots got their presents okay. Daimon, with his now short, spikey hair and nose length bangs, smiled and walked away.

“Wow, so that’s what I’d look like with short hair eh? It actually looks pretty good!” Duo smiled. Heero put an arm around Duo.
“I thought you liked your braid?” Heero asked, slightly yanking on the butt-length braid. Duo smiled.
“I love it. I guess one day when I can find another way to rber ber the Maxwell Church I’ll cut it off.”

Duo and Heero jumped into the Jeep and made their way back to their hotel.
“I cant believe Quatre and the others have been talking to Daimon be our our backs,” Duo said to Heero. His voice was more shocked than angry.
“Do you still hate him Duo?”
“Not really. I know that he was on mission and if I were in his position I probably would’ve done the same thing if I were promised a home to go to afterwards. In a way it might be good to finally meet him for real. To have a twin could have its advantage,” Duo smiled.
“Okay then, I’ll let Quatre know that we’re going to his Christmas party.”
