Good Intentions
Goku called and called but there was no answer, only that same wild panic he couldn’t seem to push through. It was so frustrating, he knew he could bring Vegeta out of it but didn’t know how. Safe, he needed to feel safe… Of course. To Vegeta, safety meant power.
He yanked the gloves off Vegeta’s hands and locked their fingers together. He let power fill him, felt the Super Saiyan transformation take him over. He wrapped their arms still together around Vegeta’s back and let his aura surround them both. Come back, Vegeta. Please don’t leave me alone like this. I need you back.
Vegeta finally began to respond. It was no more than a trickle of consciousness at first but it was enough to make Goku sigh in relief.
Vegeta, there you are. He returned to the kiss he’d given earlier, further soothing raw nerves and easing the way back. Tendrils of thought finally echoed back to him.
//He’s still out there.//
And I’m still here with you. It doesn’t matter.
Vegeta shivered a little, feeling dizzy and they both realized why. The shield had eaten through his energy rapidly.
You’ve got to shut it down before it totally drains you.
//I’m trying and I can’t… It’s not under my control…//
Sometimes - and increasingly so now that they’d bonded - if he told Vegeta to do something he just did it without much more than token resistance and though he didn’t know the why of it, it hadn’t escaped Goku’s notice. Vegeta’s tongue danced across his own one last time before he moved downward. He lifted Vegeta up off the ground to get easier access and nuzzled into his neck before biting down lightly and Vegeta moaned in his arms. It was a welcome invasion, calming and secure. Release it, now, he ordered gently.
A sharp cry escaped Vegeta’s lips and the shield thinned and dissipated and Goku disengaged. He touched his fingers to his forehead but Gohan’s shout stopped him.
“Wait! Please, just for a minute.”
Goku would have ignored him but a brief protest made him pause. You want to hear this?
Vegeta grimaced. //All I really want is to know where his head is. We are leaving our children here. We can get back here quickly if there’s a problem, but I’d like to know the likelihood of there being a problem in the first place.//
…You’re in no shape for this.
//I know. But I can hold it together.//
As soon as Goku set him down he felt Vegeta trying to pull enough energy together to force a transformation. Stop; it’ll use up everything you’ve got left. If you’re determined to go through with this then let me do my job. I won’t let him touch you.
It was no small request, but Vegeta nodded after a moment’s hesitation.
There were many eyes on them, some shocked, some full of regret, and Goku pulled Vegeta around halfway behind him, putting himself between his mate and his son. He didn’t show any signs of powering down as Gohan took a few steps toward them.
Gohan was amazed. All the old feelings from before his change for the worse were still there, confused and mixed up but still there. As Gohan met the pain and the fury in Vegeta’s dark, narrowed eyes he despaired of ever knowing what to say or do to stop that torment.
He looked healthier, looked by all accounts as he always had, strong and proud. But he had taken Vegeta’s mind as thoroughly as he’d taken his body and as a result he knew Vegeta. He could read him easily from the set of his jaw to the way his hands grasped his elbows instead of their usual position on his biceps. Vegeta was badly shaken, both by his sudden arrival and the hostile attention Videl had stirred up. Even now everyone was watching, gods, Piccolo was right, Vegeta wasn’t ready to be dealing with any of this.
The cold, watchful intensity of his father’s close scrutiny drilled into him but he ignored it. “I’m not going to ask forgiveness, I know I don’t deserve it. But I’ll make it right, someday I swear… I’ll make it right.”
There. It was said. Not the way he would have liked, but it had been necessary to put blame for this mess back where it belonged as far as their friends and family were concerned. With the hostility toward Vegeta removed from the equation his presence was now doing more harm than good. He needed to leave, and began to do so.
“Stop.”
His voice was low, angry and Gohan’s eyes flew wide at hearing it directed at him. Goku’s aura flared as he realized Vegeta was speaking to him.
There was a clashing exchange between Vegeta and Goku then, not that he could hear it but the air fairly crackled with their argument to anyone with the gift to feel it. Goku obviously wanted him gone, no doubt objecting to any and all contact between the two of them. But if there was anything Vegeta wanted from him, anything that would help him heal just a little bit faster he wouldn’t leave here without giving it.
Thankfully the conflict died down and it seemed Vegeta had won, with stipulations it seemed. Goku stepped back, took one of Vegeta’s hands in his and put two fingers to his forehead in preparation to Transmit, just in case his son still couldn’t be trusted this near his mate.
“What do you need from me, Vegeta?” he asked softly.
“With the power I awoke in you… you could have done anything, conquered worlds, started an empire even without the power bonding with me would have added. Why couldn’t you just… leave me be?”
Gohan closed his eyes against what Vegeta was asking.
He finally sent a tentative tendril of thought to Vegeta, not wanting to expose too much out loud for Vegeta’s sake, but unsure of whether or not he would allow the mental contact after everything he’d put him through. Vegeta’s frown deepened for a moment as he considered it, then Gohan felt a crack in shielding far stronger than he’d had when Gohan had invaded him, just big enough to let his voice through. It was enough for what he needed to say.
*I didn’t want to conquer anything but you, Vegeta. You were all I really wanted, all along, just you.*
Why now, when everything was lost was it so easy to admit that? Now that the floodgates were open the truth poured out of him relentlessly.
*Even before I knew what sex was I thought it would be nice to hold hands with you. When I was older I wanted to be with you, I saw how you suffered after my father died and I wanted to take your pain away. I wanted to touch you, hold you, give you pleasure, I wanted you to forget about him and see only me. After he came back I knew it was too late and I moved on, at least I thought I had. But then he started to see you the way I always had. I knew he would have the courage I had lacked and I… I didn’t want him to have you. It hurt and there was nothing I could do to stop it.
*After I woke up with so much power all that changed. It recognized you for what you are, whispered to me in different ways of how to claim you for myself. I could make you mine before he could and that’s all I could think about. I knew that if I could force you to bond with me you would have had no choice than to let me rule you. I know you saw that much, and it was true. I would have kept you, never let anyone else near you. You would have been completely mine and I wanted that, so badly.*
Goku could feel Vegeta’s distress increasing until finally he went rigid, breath coming on too fast and he couldn’t take it anymore. “That’s enough,” he growled. He slammed mental walls of his own down between Vegeta and Gohan, forcibly ending the contact.
Gohan’s words echoed through Vegeta like a gong struck far too hard. “I did it again…” Vegeta breathed, past caring about all the eyes on them. His turmoil was palpable and Goku’s jaw clenched.
How long had Zarbon reveled in his trust before turning on him? Had Gohan done the same, had that desire to have him on his knees screaming been there all along? Trusting someone enough to guard his back in battle was as close to true intimacy as he’d ever been before his relationship with Goku, something he’d trusted Gohan to do more than once. Had he been as foolish as an adult as he had been as a child, blindly putting his trust in someone who meant to abuse him? If so he would never, ever trust his own judgement again. “Hurting me the way you did… Was that what you wanted all along?”
Gohan recoiled, once again following the course of Vegeta’s thoughts as if they were his own. “No! I never, ever would have hurt you, please believe- Dad, let me through.”
“Not. Happening,” he growled in response.
Gohan could almost hear Goku’s teeth grinding. He had no intention letting it happen again. Gohan’s eyes narrowed and he finally pulled his attention from Vegeta, beginning to get angry. If Vegeta was ever going to trust himself again this wasn’t something he could leave open to any doubt. “I’m trying to help him, Dad. If you really cared, you’d let me!”
“He’s had enough of your help for one lifetime.”
Vegeta had chosen, and even if he did take leave of his senses to challenge his father once more at his current strength Goku could wipe the floor with him without breaking a sweat. There was no need for this antagonism, but Gohan couldn’t stop himself. “This has nothing to do with you. Don’t interfere!”
Goku met his anger and doubled down on it, forgetting all else for the moment. “‘Nothing to do with me?’ Did you really just say that to me?!” Two steps and he had Gohan lifted by a fist in the collar of his shirt. “You raped him in my bed, and I'm interfering?” he hissed quietly. “Do you have any idea what he suffered, what he still goes through because of you?! I won’t let you add any more pain to that!”
Gohan took a deep breath, let his arms drop and tried to let go of his pointless hostility. His father was just protecting his mate, and doing it well. Forced and incomplete though it was, there had been a bond between them and Gohan still felt an irrational possessiveness where Vegeta was concerned. He probably always would; Vegeta’s wipe of Saiyan influence had been thorough but it couldn’t clear everything. Even though it was obvious they’d found a way around the one-sided bond he’d tried to force on Vegeta his father was the protector, the gatekeeper now. No matter what Vegeta wanted he’d have to be convinced. “I’m not here to fight you. I just want to help him. He needs to see this. Just one more time, please let me through!”
Goku wavered, but this was still madness. He bared his teeth at his son, so torn. He knew why this was so important but it mattered very little to him. He was Vegeta’s mate now. Him, not this upstart that kept trying to steal him away. Gohan had done what he came to do and now he should go away, go back home and be thankful he’d been allowed to live.
If only it were so simple.
With a curse Goku set Gohan down again. But he didn’t step away, stayed on guard. I’m going along with this because you need it. But I hate this, Vegeta. I hate it.
//I know.// Vegeta could feel Goku’s tension running through him and he knew how much he was asking of his mate. He would apologize properly later, right now, he had to see this through.
Gohan watched Vegeta carefully, saw a minute tremor run through him as Goku let him through to Vegeta’s mind once more. It was his hope that Vegeta wouldn’t fear him forever, and he would do whatever he could to make sure that didn’t happen.
He also really, really hoped his father wasn’t watching this next part.
Vegeta shivered as Gohan’s thoughts slipped into his own once more, with images this time instead of words. He didn’t want to close his eyes, afraid that would make things too real. But in the end the double vision of the past overlaying the present was too much and he had to.
It was a familiar place, a familiar time here at Capsule Corp. several years ago late at night. His entire body was one massive sharp pain, and he remembered hurting himself worse than usual this night. He frowned, remembering that Gohan had been there before… And there he was, appearing out of nowhere to check on him. He was weak from pain and fatigue but Gohan was a trustworthy ally, he didn’t feel the need to try to hide it. His being there hadn’t struck him as strange, he had been there working on something with Bulma and he seemed to be something of a night owl. He smelled of arousal, but he almost always smelled of it. He was more human in development than Saiyan, and human teenage boys were perpetually horny. The brief conversation went as he remembered it and he let Gohan help him up.
‘Why is he showing me this?’
The familiarity ended. What happened next, he didn’t remember because it had never happened. The strangeness of it was almost overwhelming.
He changed his mind and decided to let Gohan bandage his ribs after all. The boy spent almost as much time at Capsule as he did at home and knew where the first aid supplies were without being told. He walked Vegeta upstairs and left him in his room while he got a couple of rolls of bandaging.
As Gohan slowly, carefully and tightly wrapped him up Vegeta couldn’t help noticing how close he was, how warm his hands were as he smoothed the bandaging. By the time he finished Gohan was close to him, closer than he normally allowed anyone to get.
After only a moment’s hesitation Gohan reached out to him, touched his face, drew him forward until their lips were touching. It was just a gentle brushing of skin on skin for a few moments, more of a questioning than anything else until he parted his lips in invitation. As Gohan’s tongue slipped into his mouth Vegeta again wondered at himself, wondered why he was allowing this but he realized he was in Gohan’s thoughts, this was simply the night as Gohan had wanted it to unfold.
Gohan’s hands were on him, careful of his injuries but touching him everywhere as that kiss went on. He was so slow, so patient, so completely at odds with the creature that had left him shattered. Those hands that had brutalized him were not violent here, they only sought to give pleasure, to drive away the pain both from his injuries and from an incomplete bond with a man long dead.
He stayed in it, waiting for things to turn but it finally became apparent that they wouldn’t because the brutality Gohan had subjected him to just wasn’t there. It was true, there had been nothing vicious or violently compelling in his desires, just the opposite. It didn’t even feel like lust or desire.
Gohan’s relief almost dropped him to his knees when he heard it. //I have it now, that’s enough. Withdraw from me.//
The contact trickled slowly away as though Gohan didn’t want to let it go. There were no tears but his eyes were bright with them.
“Do you understand now? That's what I wanted,” he said, voice strained. “To help you, never to hurt you.” *Because I was in love with you Vegeta. You weren’t wrong to trust me all those years.*
It was beyond shocking; Vegeta could barely wrap his mind around what Gohan was telling him. Love? If he hadn’t felt the truth of it himself he never would have believed it.
He was still angry, still betrayed, still hurt beyond all measure, but something deep within him uncoiled, stopped strangling his soul.
Even so, there could be no absolution. Not today, and not for a long time.
“Our daughters are mine now,” Vegeta said quietly. “You will not know them unless they want to know you. Your daughter by your wife has that same primal strength inside her that you had. For your remorse to mean a damn to me you will see to it she doesn’t have your weakness as well, that she will never use it as self-servingly as you did.”
It was a blow, but one he had expected. “I will, I swear. And… I know you saved Pan. Thank you.” Strangely enough, Gohan felt stronger now than he had since Vegeta had restored him. Now he was being honest, finally being honest with himself and those around him.
Vegeta’s eyes no longer reflected the same depths of rage and pain that they had when he’d arrived. It wasn’t much, but it was something he could build on.
His fingers twitched. He still wanted to touch.
Instead, Gohan steeled himself to try something. It was a long shot, but if it worked it might push the healing process along a bit faster. He crossed his right arm diagonally across his chest, palm upturned. He waited hopefully, and after a moment of wary surprise, Vegeta hesitantly returned the gesture with his palm facing down, and his left hand raised in an upturned fist.
Gohan released a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding. His offer had been accepted. ‘I will make you trust me again. I have to.’
It was done, it was all he could do now. He took a deep breath, feeling exhausted at facing so much of himself. Hopefully it would give Vegeta a little peace for now. He ripped his eyes away. Turned to Piccolo, nodded tightly and received a slow nod and a small smile in return. He was finally on the right track again. While it didn’t make him feel good, it was close enough for now. He touched a finger to his forehead, concentrated and Transmitted away.
It wasn’t over yet, not by a long shot. He still had work to do if there was any chance of salvaging his family.
He opened eyes on his crying wife and his sleeping baby sitting curled together on their living room couch. That Pan was still asleep was surprising, the broken odds and ends that littered the room were a testament to Videl’s temper when she had arrived. Her eyes were angry, accusing.
“I wasn’t sure you were going to come home.”
Her voice was rough with the crying she’d done. ‘Because of me.’ Gohan sighed wearily, sank to the floor in the wreckage opposite them. “I would never run away from you. I love you, Videl. And I’m going to prove that, no matter how long it takes. Anything you want to know, I’ll tell you. Where should I start?”
“All of it, Gohan. Start at the beginning.”
“I think… it started with Vegeta. He was cold, calculating and intelligent, and the power inside me that I had been afraid of, he wielded so easily and with such joy… I was fascinated and horrified at the same time…”

As soon as Gohan was gone Vegeta found himself wrapped in Goku’s arms again and he could tell it was as much for Goku’s benefit as his own. “That was careless. It could have been dangerous.”
“You wouldn’t have let anything bad happen,” Vegeta said honestly.
That faith short-circuited Goku’s anger. I was afraid he was going to try to take you away from me again. I felt you…
//Felt me what?//
“Never mind, it can wait. Did that help anything? Are you all right?”
Vegeta nodded against his chest. “At least I know he’s stable. We don’t have to worry about him trying to hurt the kids while we’re gone.”
“I meant, ‘did it help you.’”
“It doesn’t help right now but it will eventually. At least I… understand now. And no. Fuck no I’m not all right.”
What was that gesture he made? Wasn’t that a military thing?
//Kind of. That variation was specific, he must have taken it from my mind at some point.//
Specific how?
//It was… a special kind of servant to King, a lawful contract. The relevant part of the contract states that if he harms me in any way his life is forfeit on the spot. I think he wanted me… to feel safer.//
Goku grimaced. I wouldn't have needed a contract for that, Vegeta.
//I know. I know it makes no sense, but… it’s familiar to me. It helps, Kakarot.//
Krillin and Piccolo approached and a few others took their cue, probably wanting to apologize. He could feel Vegeta steeling himself, trying to force himself back to stillness and Goku couldn’t believe it.
Stop that. You’re not up to dealing with anyone yet.
//I’m fine Kakarot, I can handle-//
“Vegeta!” Goku finally said, exasperated from so much worry. He pushed Vegeta away enough to get his stubborn mate to look him in the eye. “You just walked out the other side of something that would have killed anyone else, including me.” You’re not weak and I don’t see you that way, but emotionally you’re fragile as hell, do you think I can’t feel it? I don’t expect you to broadcast that fact but you will tell me before you crash and burn. Get it through your head that This. Isn’t. Forever. It won’t even take you as long to get stronger as you think it will, but only if you let me help you. Now tell me the truth!
It was enough to make his temper flare for a moment. “What you want from me is… not done!” he stopped, shaking his head. Goku’s eyes were sympathetic, but determined. What he was demanding ran counter to everything he knew. But in these situations Goku knew far more than he did and he knew it. It wasn’t easy though. He took a deep breath and let it all out in one quick blast of thought. //I don’t want to hear anything they have to say. I’m tired and I hurt inside and I just want this to be over. Make them go away. Let them all prattle this out while we’re gone.//
Goku’s hand caressed his cheek, his smile small but honest. Thank you.
An unforgiving scowl from gentle-hearted Goku stopped the unwanted company and held them where they were. Krillin and Piccolo were allowed close, but Piccolo didn’t exactly receive a pleasant welcome.
“What the hell was that, Piccolo?” Goku hissed. “How could you bring him here so suddenly like that!”
His eyes narrowed. “I knew what was about to happen. It was Gohan’s mess to clean up and he wasn’t dealing with it. The last time I didn’t make him face something…” He trailed off and Goku paled. “I wasn’t going to let Vegeta get hurt by that again.”
“He’s right,” Vegeta added reluctantly. “No one would have believed me, and you’re tainted as well since I’ve got my hooks in you, apparently. It had to come from him.”
Piccolo breathed a sigh of relief at Vegeta’s understanding. Weighing the benefits and the potential harm to Vegeta’s mental state hadn’t been easy.
“Krillin.”
“What?” Vegeta’s growl had startled him and he jumped, having been immersed in trying to follow what was going on around him.
“You tried to stop what was happening. My thanks.”
He could only smile, rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment. “Just don’t let this make you forget all the good you’ve done here and I’ll be happy.”
Vegeta grimaced. “I will… try. Watch over my children for me, Uncle Piccolo.”
“Woah, ‘children?’ Like more than just Trunks? Is somebody gonna fill me in on that?”
“You keep secrets almost as badly as I do,” Goku laughed. “Just wait until we get back. We’ll talk then.”
“In the meantime don’t worry about anything here. Just… take care of yourself. And since you never do,” Piccolo turned to Goku with a smirk. “Throttle him before he runs himself into the ground.”
Goku returned the smirk, tightened his arms around Vegeta who was torn between irritation at being treated as though he didn’t have the sense he was born with and wanting to collapse into those arms. He settled for cursing at them both while Krillin chuckled.
After a brief conversation and some heartfelt goodbyes, Goku Transmitted him and Vegeta both to say their goodbyes to the children.

Whis sighed, trying to ignore all the yelling and explosions to concentrate on the projected image from his staff. “This is worse than I thought.” Things shouldn’t have progressed as far as they had. Vegeta didn’t know how to call on strength outside his own and Goku was putting far too much faith in Vegeta’s ability to do so. He had a few things to correct before he could train them properly.
He smiled to himself. Correcting the problems wouldn’t take long. He could sense now that their potential was even greater than he’d originally thought. It would be tricky, but they were perfect for his plans.
“My apologies, but I needed to see how they would handle that without interference and you three most definitely would have interfered. The good news is it looks like it’s over and they’re made it through the crisis, so you can stop being so noisy now! They’ll be here shortly. Now, where are those extra goodies you said you’d put aside for me?” Whis asked happily. “I might need to get them out of here somewhat quickly.”
An angry Bulma once again punched the transparent walls of her hastily thrown-up prison as Goten and Trunks glared at Whis. “I’d get it for you’d let me and the boys out of here!”

Beerus’ planet wasn’t a planet in the truest sense. But as if the tiered, inverted pyramid wasn’t massive enough, it served as the base for a massive, twisting dead tree that served as a castle. As expected of Beerus, everything they saw of it was a study in opulence.
Whis gave them a short tour when they arrived, starting with the all-important kitchens where Goku offloaded the giant sack full of various snacks, cup ramen, tins of exotic teas and a wide variety of frozen pizzas. He showed them to their room, giving them the rest of the day to relax before beginning their training in the morning.
Vegeta sorely need the break and wasted no time in stripping his armor and gloves off, collapsing onto the bed with a deep sigh. The stress of the day had taken its toll and he was exhausted and drained. All he wanted to do was sleep.
Conversely Goku was uneasy, thoughts flitting almost uncontrollably. The fact that Gohan had essentially pledged himself to Vegeta instead of letting there be a clean break was troubling, as was the fact that Vegeta had accepted after being shown something he hadn’t seen. Allowing Gohan access to Vegeta’s mind earlier hadn’t been easy either. Both things were completely at odds with his intense desire to protect and possess his mate.
He had stayed out of their conversation to concentrate on watching him just in case he tried something, but that decision was weighing on him. He knew how his son felt, remembered how he had tried to break Vegeta’s faith in him before, tried to seduce him into believing that the son cared more for for him than the father. If he’d done so again…
Vegeta? “What did he tell you?”
“...Can you let it go?”
“No.”
Goku watched as the end of Vegeta’s tail slowly began to flick back and forth. “That he was in love with me. That he wanted to… be with me. He wanted me to know that he had never wanted to hurt me before I stirred up all that power in him,” Vegeta said. “He must have known I thought he was like Zarbon, that I’d trusted the wrong person again.”
The restlessness in Goku jumped up a notch. Gohan knew because he’d stripped his mate’s mind of things he'd never told anyone besides him. “How do you know he wasn’t lying?”
“He… showed me, Kakarot. How he wanted it to be. The memories were old. Can we stop talking about this?”
Vegeta had begun moving slowly and now he was curled on his side, arms and tail wrapped around his body. It was obvious he was upsetting Vegeta further but he couldn’t stop. “He made you feel good, Vegeta. It wasn’t much but I could smell the arousal on you both.” A tremor ran through Vegeta as he spoke.
“Search me now.” //Do you feel it anymore?//
Not even a little, Goku was forced to admit.
“It started off as a memory and it turned into a fantasy of his, and he pulled me into it to prove that he’d never meant me harm. It was only a response to what was happening. That was… confusing. I didn’t like it.”
“I know.” In punishing his son by letting him retain his memories Goku found he had inadvertently punished himself as well, and the ‘what-if’ now tortured him too. “I know that. And I know I’m being an asshole, but… this is important. If he had reached out to you, you would have accepted, wouldn’t you?”
Vegeta frowned. Goku sounded almost… insecure? Jealous? Of a man that had violated him in almost every way possible? “I would never have taken advantage of a child, you know that.”
Goku snorted in spite of himself. “He was young, not a child. And… I know you don’t like to talk about it but… you were lonely, and in a kind of pain you didn’t understand for years and you didn’t even know why. If anything he would have been taking advantage of you, Vegeta. Please tell me. It’s important.”
“I just wanted the pain to stop. If he had offered to help at that time… I don’t know.”
He finally felt Goku’s weight sink into the bed as he sat down at its edge. Vegeta uncoiled a little, enough to see Goku’s hunched back. He frowned. //Kakarot? Why are you asking me these things?//
For a long moment he said nothing and Vegeta waited. Finally, “I love you more,” he said so quietly Vegeta had to strain to hear him.
Vegeta had absorbed Gohan’s feelings spilling over into his mind earlier, even through such a small break in his shielding, enough to know his feelings for him rivaled those of his father in that regard. “No, you don’t.”
Goku’s head lowered, looking down at the floor, thinking of how long it had taken him to see what was happening between him and Vegeta. If he’d thought about it more, seen it, taken what had been offered sooner none of this would have happened. Instead he’d stayed away so long Vegeta had suffered the pain of a fractured bond for years. Maybe he didn’t love Vegeta enough.
Vegeta didn’t want to talk about Gohan, didn’t feel strong enough to even think about these things right now. But Goku in turmoil cut through him like a knife, it always had, whether he wanted to admit it or not. He was beautiful in a fighting stance, strong and proud, powerful voice raised in a battle cry. He was also beautiful relaxed and confident, eyes closed and voice raised in laughter.
This dejected sadness, this uncertainty had no place on or in his mate.
Vegeta pushed himself up a little, his hand reached out, fisted in Goku’s gi and pulled him backward. He fell unresisting to the bed, and flat on his back now he looked up into Vegeta’s eyes.
‘Your eyes are too sad, Kakarot. I don’t like it.’ Vegeta rolled over onto Goku, straddled his waist and slid a hand down into his pants, grasping at soft flesh that jumped to life in his hand. “Vegeta, you don’t have to…” he broke off in a groan. It felt too good to argue with, almost as though he needed Vegeta’s touch.
“You’re being an idiot. What is ‘more?’ You love me far, far better than anyone else could. You make me whole, you always have. He loved me, he’s himself again, he still wants me, none of that matters to me. He nearly destroyed me. It was you who brought me back. Even if I’d been able to share my body with him back then I could never have chosen to bond with him or any other.”
Between gasps Vegeta’s tongue slipped between his lips, tangling with his own before sliding lower to make him see stars. I’m sorry for making you talk about this now, Vegeta. I need you, and I just can’t lose you, I can’t. I love you so much. His fingers sank into his mate’s hair, thrusting into his warm, wet mouth desperately.
‘This is how he looks most beautiful,’ Vegeta thought.
He didn’t drag it out, he knew what Goku liked and he drove him higher until one hand was gripping the bed and the other held at the base of his skull, fucking his throat hard. He’d never been this rough with Vegeta before but he couldn’t stop himself.
Goku came with a sob, the stress of the day emptying out of him as Vegeta swallowed around his spurting cock. Vegeta let him slip from his mouth with a final lick and his body trembled, he pulled Vegeta to him, almost crushing him in his arms.
When Goku’s grip finally loosened Vegeta pushed him onto his side and curled up behind him. He held him just as tightly for a moment, then began to stroke his body, helping him come down as Goku always did for him. Not that he needed it. He’d gone from tense enough to break bricks with his teeth to so content he could have purred in under ten minutes. But it had come with a price that concerned him.
Did I hurt you?
//A little. But I knew how it would be, you didn’t scare me. Relax. No harm is done.//
You knew that would calm me down, didn’t you?
Vegeta chuckled. //For my benefit you’ve had to allow some things you would have preferred to kill to prevent. A little possessiveness is understandable. You protected and guarded me well today, my mate. I know it wasn’t an easy task. I thank you.//
My Vegeta. All mine, only mine.

Yup, Saturday uploads are a thing now, so no more Thursdays. :)Ulrike: I hope when things are all said and done you’ll love Whis more; I know I do. Beerus is… interesting. In Universe 6, the one without Beerus’ support of Freeza, the Saiyans are thriving peacekeepers. Coincidence? I think not! So yeah, Vegeta and Goku both are going to have some trouble with Beerus. And omg Trunks and Goten are ridiculously adorable, I couldn’t help making them have an easy time accepting the new order of things. I honestly think it fits. Thank you as always for taking the time to write!
Cara9001: I think there’s a lot more to Whis’ character than we get to see, so I’m definitely going to have fun with that and how he relates to Vegeta and Goku. With as much trauma as Vegeta has suffered I definitely didn’t want to have all the problems disappear all at once. It’s going to take time, especially since he’s going to have to learn how to let someone else help him. But Goku’s not going anywhere, so things will definitely get better from here on out. ...Assuming Vegeta can let him help. :) Thank you!!!
