Chapter 16

Edward and Alphonse were walking down the street now toward the more crumby side of town. It was morning time and Edward was hungry of course and had not had any breakfast so he stopped by the bakery and bought him and Alphonse some doughnuts. Edward got himself some oj the doughnuts were just fresh out of the oven. Plus Edward had to act like a normal person and not someone who seemed to be looking for something.

Edward walked over to the bench in front of the bakery and sat down Alphonse sat with him he had gotten himself a chocolate milk. He opened the bag and took out one of the chocolate covered doughnuts that was his and bit into it.

Edward then grabbed his own doughnut and munched into the chocolate iced doughnut he sipped his orange juice. He saw a man walking toward them it looked like one of Roy’s neighbors from a cross the street. Edward cocked a brow at this wondering why he was coming over to him, “Hi there, I am Mr. Willams Colonel Mustangs neighbor ” The tall dark haired green eyed man greeted Ed. He put his hand out to shake. “I thought I saw you at his house the other weekend thought I’d say hi” He said in a friendly tone.

Edward looked at both of his own hands one had his doughnut in it with chocolate smearing on his metal hand while the other was holding his sweaty cup of orange juice. “Oh I see well nice to meet you Mr. Willimas” Edward said. “I’d shake your hand but I am kind of well they are full” Ed said holding the cup up and shrugged a bit.

“Oh well that is ok, well so shouldn’t you boys be in school or something or are you visiting the colonel perhaps your cousins or something?” Mr. Willimas wondered crossing his arms in front of himself.

“Nah I am not related to the Colonel do we look like we are related to the colonel?” Edward chuckled then again their mother had brown hair.

“Well cousins don’t normally look alike” Mr. Willimas shrugged.

“Well I am not his cousin I am Edward Elric Fullmetal Alchemist, No school is smart enough for me.” Edward never minded boosting his title to anyone but Alphonse shook his head they were suppose to be on a top secret mission here. Though most people in central knew who Ed was by now well those who paid attention to the military at lest heard the name Fullmetal.

“OH you’re the Fullmetal Alchemist, ha I heard about you I see,” Mr. Willams chuckled happily and patted Edward on his back right when he was going to drink his orange juice and spilled it all over the front of him.

“Hey watch it now!” Edward said as he spilled on his nice black shirt and set his cup down on the bench and picked up his napkin. Edward set his doughnut down on Alphonse’s knee and got a napkin.

“Oh I am sorry about that” Mr. Willams said very apologetically “Its just nice to meet you that is all I got so excited.”

Edward snorted “Ah well if you don’t have anything else to talk to me about could you leave me alone I am trying to eat my breakfast here you know.” Ed said in a bit of a bad mood as this Mr. Willams was now annoying him.

“Well I am sorry about that, really I could pay for the dry cleaning if you like.” Mr. Willams offered.

Alphonse had picked Ed’s doughnut of off his knee and was about to take a bite when Edward snagged the doughnut from his hand. “Alphonse you have two more doughnuts in the bag don’t be stealing mine now!” Ed snapped and munched into his doughnut getting some of the cream on his nose.

“Well It didn’t look like you were wanting it” Alphonse defended himself and got out his own plump fresh doughnut “I think it was nice of Mr. Willams to over to do the dry cleaning don’t you big brother?” Al wondered sipping his milk.

“Eh its alright just leave me alone now alright” Edward said before munching more into the doughnut he needed to eat so he could go check out the rusty side of town.

“Hmn well you’re a little rude thing aren’t you should have respect for your elders young man!” Mr. Willams scolded Edward who ended up throwing his whole cup of orange juice at Mr. Willams head.

“WHO ARE YOU CALLING A PINT SIZED HALF BEANED TEENY TINY LITTLE FLEA WHO IS SO SMALL THAT A DOG COULDN’T EVEN FEEL HIS BITE?” Ed raged and went to lung for the man but Alphonse was holding him back by his hood easily while finishing off his doughnut. So Ed sort of sat there on the bench wiggling his arms and legs like a bug for a few minutes while Mr. Willams ran out of there like a dog with his tail between his legs. “That is right you better run and don’t look back!”

“Edward please,” Alphonse sighed still holding his hood firmly in his hand hoping Edward would chill out.

Ed calmed down and managed to eat his doughnuts without to much more incident then he stood up and threw his wrappers in the trash he was still a bit sore about his shirt being stained with orange juice.

The two brothers made it to the run down side of town it looked pretty much that way and even seemed to have a dingy feel to it like even the sky seemed darker. If Roy could have helped it this place would have been totally cleaned away a long time ago but he wasn’t Fuhrer yet. Besides these people could be slippery like cock roaches slipping in and out of the cracks faster than the military or anyone could act.

Edward rounded the corner and ran smack into a very tall looking man who seemed to be more ape like then human. Edward fell down on his ass and caught himself with his hand the man seemed to not have many brains left he was a total drunk and towered over the two boys. He eyed them like they were his next meal or something. “My, My what are two pretty golden things like you wondering around this side of town for?” He slurred he even had arms that seemed the side of tree trunks.

Alphonse had been knocked to his ass as well the man reached down and grabbed hold of Alphonse’s ankle and lifted him into the air. “HEY GET OFF OF HIM!” Edward demanded and jumped up quickly as he did this another skinnier smaller thin man came up behind Ed and linked his arms under Ed in attempted to stay him from doing anything.

“Stay still pretty boy “ The man was greasy too he smelled Edward’s hair it smelled so good to him like vanilla shampoo Ed started using it since Roy liked that kind the best. They were pretty far into this side of town now as well no one would care if two young Alchemists got raped here no one would stop them.

Edward growled like hell he’d stay still as the man was rummaging in Alphonse’s coat pockets he used the momentum from the man grabbing him and pushed him back some and stomped on the inside of his foot. Then Elbows him when he felt the pain in his foot Ed’s metal elbow dug into his ribs. Then he turned around and punched him in the face knocking the man out.

Edward them clapped his hands put them to the ground and mad a cement hand come up and punch the man right in the face knocking the fat ass back this of course made him let Alphonse go who was dropped on his head who gave a painful yelp. “Alphonse are you ok?” Ed wondered rushing over to him quickly and picked him up setting him on his ass.

“Hmn yeah I think so... the pavement to my head still hurt a lot” Alphonse said feeling dazed Ed didn’t know if he liked Alphonse being in this side of town now he was so pretty. He thought or it must have been what these two guys thought.

“Hmn sorry about that dumb fucker,” Ed huffed Edward walked over to the man then walked over top of his body starting from his crotch to his face, “Lets go get this over with and report back to Mustang as soon as possible this place is crawling with low lives just stay near me.” Edward told Alphonse so the two brothers spy out the large underground brothel fairly successfully but it was really horrible what Edward had seen through the basement windows Edward had used huge Alchemy fisted hands to knocked out the guards so they would not scream then he held them all with the large fists so they couldn’t move.

Edward wasn’t looking forward to reporting to Roy just what it was he had seen, so Alphonse and Ed walked back toward HQ so Ed could give Roy his full report and maybe talk to him about what the heck was up with Mr. Willams. Edward thought they should go in and clean out those evil people though from the brothel cause what he saw just made him so sick.
