Chapter 17


Roy was busy later that day after lunch feeling most uneasy about Edward and Alphonse on that side of town now. Plus he never really cared to focus on his paper work often he’d rather think about Ed though he didn’t really know if he liked worrying for him why did they have to send Ed again he wondered. Though since when did that little spunky blonde ever had a problem then again Ed seemed to be a magnet for trouble, Roy had been leaning on his hand tapping the end of his pen on the desk.

Roy then was brought out of his wonderings by aloud knocking at the door and he dropped his pen and looked up “Yes come in!” Roy said clearing his throat his heart beat happily hoping it was Edward and his hopes were not in vain as the door opened in walked the two blonde brothers. Though he noted Alphonse had an ice pack on his head and Edward had a most upsetting look on his face. Roy stood up quickly and walked around the desk. “What happened!?” He demanded to know right away.

Edward had the file of his report all done, “You’ll find out everything in their Colonel it’s just awful,” Ed said holding the manila colored document folder up for Roy to take who accepted it and opened it leaning against his desk as he did so.

Roy scanned the paper and read about how the brothel was an underground slave market for young boys from the ages of five to eighteen they used them as whores and drug runners. Though it was to bad about the whore part it was really the drug part they were wanting to cancel out Roy thought but he wouldn’t mind cleaning house down their himself and if they could catch these guys crime in the city would lesson a great deal. Then again Roy thought crime would never really die out there would always be something else.

“So what do you think Colonel are we going to go down there and clean house I am sure it would be easy all you’d have to do is fry those assholes I saw three leaders,” Edward added he also seemed to read Roy's thoughts, “We could sneak in there you could dress like a pimp I could be your boy or something and you could act like you want to trade with me call the three pimps out and fry them up you know?” Edward said thinking this was a good Idea.

“Hmn interesting Fullmetal but what about all the whores what should we do with them?” Roy said looking over the paper work at Ed and his little plan though it seemed like a pretty good one but he wouldn’t admit it out loud to Ed yet.

“Well why can’t we make a safe house for them or something it is not their fault!” Edward glared his golden eyes up at Roy. “They are slaves and probably drugged up into doing this!” Ed said putting hands on his hips and looking up at Roy.

“Well what save house… though I suppose I could talk with Madame though she will probably be somewhat annoyed I could tell her that it wouldn’t be permanent I suppose then again I don’t know I am sure there is orphanages to around that they can go to for help. That is actually a big mess but I’ll figure something out.” Roy said closing the folder and walked around the desk and sat back down.

Edward sat down on the sofa in the office along with Alphonse, “Oh and I don’t want Alphonse ever going to that side of town again it is to dangerous for him so Al you’ll stay here this time alright.”He looked at his brother like there was no arguing with him.

“No problem I’ll probably just go back to the dorm, when you two figure out just what it is you’ll be doing.” Alphonse had his head resting back against the sofa with the ice pack on his head still. When he spoke he sounded a bit happy to go to the dorm.

“I hope you’ll be ok Alphonse,” Edward said sliding his arm around his brother and rubbed his shoulder.

“That is fine with me as well I don’t really feel all that great about you going to that side of town again either Edward, I guess though I will feel better going with you, but we should do it tomorrow and not today people might be excepting us.” Roy said going on thinking about this more. “So you boys should go back to your room and rest up and Fullmetal I will see you tomorrow morning at eight am?”

“Ah yeah sure thing Colonel,” Edward said giving Roy a salute and wink then stood up and helped Alphonse stand up and they left the room. Roy felt so much better seeing his sexy honey back from the streets and not really to worse for wear though he really didn’t like Ed seeing what he had seen.

He stood up himself and grabbed his jacket he had to try and smooth things over with Madame also talk with the police. He was so grateful to be getting away from this damn paper work he walked out of the office sliding his coat on and shut and locked the door behind him.

Edward and Alphonse walked out of the side Exit doors that led to the dorm rooms at HQ where the Elric Brothers had been staying for the last several years now. Edward walked up the steps to the second floor that had a balcony overlooking a small court yard that also looked toward another set of dorms. He walked to his door and slid the key in and unlocked it he pushed the door open there was just a small hallway then they would have to step up on to a hard wood floor to the left was a small kitchen with a table and two chairs. Then to the right hand side was a sofa with its back to the door and it had a coffee table on it there was two single beds positioned close together with an aisle way there was a window between the beds and two dressers at the end of the beds.

Alphonse shut the door behind them he walked over to the sofa after removing his coat and shoes he sat down on the sofa with a sighing. Edward went into the kitchen and filled the tea kettle with water and set it on the stove and turned on the burner to boil the water.

Then he came over to the sofa and sat down and untied his boots and slipped them off and removed his jacket and hung it over the arm rest “I hope your head feels better soon.” Edward said starching his arms over his head.

“Yeah me too” Alphonse sighed majorly and then slid down more on the sofa letting his back sink into the soft pillow behind him.

“Well I am totally tired after all that running around its like geez I come home from a week long mission only to have to do another mission its like can’t I get a damn break or something. How am I suppose to think clearly really it is like off the train and on to the next mission without even a breather. Though lest its in Central I didn’t think I was going to be getting Mustang involved or I didn’t think he would then again he is worried about me so I suppose its understandable I’d be worried about someone going to that side of town now. Its not like I can’t take care of myself though,” Edward said linking his fingers behind his golden head he looked over at Alphonse who had fallen to sleep Edward rolled his eyes lovely he thought.
