Rain continued its splatter against the window of the Kon home. The sky had shown no signs of letting up nor of getting any brighter to let the sun shine through. Good. If Ozuma wasn't at home and his parents got back he wanted them to at least be safe from the couple, and there is a good chance Dawn thinks that it's morning so she'll stay in hiding wherever it is she goes.
Kai had disappeared to the bathroom or downstairs for personal reasons, neither boy was sure, but he was taking a while with it leaving Ozuma alone with his secret crush, Rei.
Speaking of Rei, the Chinese boy grabbed a muffin filled with berries from the tray; a berry Ozuma didn't right away recognize, but he joined him on the small loveseat couch in the corner of his room. Picking off a piece of muffin, Rei popped it into his mouth with a smile then offered a piece to Ozuma. The mixed child didn't really want it, especially with the smell of bacon wafting up from the kitchen, but he picked a piece off- since it was offered.
"What kind of berry is this?" He asked. The taste was ok, but he wasn't sure he would eat it again.
"Strawberry, it's a corn bread muffin- could you tell?" He ate another piece.
Shaking his head, Ozuma blushed that he couldn't notice. "No."
The two of them were silent a moment. Not much sound in the room except the occasional sound of Rei's chewing.
"I never would have guessed you were rich."
The raven haired boy laughed so quickly he had to cover his mouth to avoid dropping food. "I'm not sure how to take that, is it a compliment?"
"Oh," his blush deepened. "Yeah, it is... I mean, I didn't mean anything by it but..."
"No we're not rich, my mom just has good taste." He looked around his room as though pricing everything mentally. "I'd have to say we're worth more than everything in this room combined. Kai's rich though."
"He is?" The mixed boy looked at the door where the Russian had earlier exited. "That's cool."
Balling up the cup cake holder the muffin was in, Rei sighed and nodded. "Yeah, it is." Looking down at his lap he then looked at the Balaji boy. "So, do you have any other proof that Dawn may still be in your house?"
"No- well, my mom just told me that she's been putting dirty dishes in the sink in the morning... She thinks it's me leaving them out."
"Wow... I think maybe you should call the police." He looked at him sincerely. "They know what happened in that house, they can help you."
"A lot of good they did the first time... they won't believe a boy who cries wolf, not when she'll just keep hiding from them." He lowered his voice. "It's making me look crazy."
Rei leaned over pulling Ozuma into an embrace. "I don't think you're crazy."
Ozuma smelled the male's hair, it made heat rise in his face and everywhere else. Ozuma held him tighter when he felt Rei pulling away. "...Rei," he whispered into the older teen's ear.
It was as if magic had guided their mouths together when Rei turned his head to respond to his name. It was warm, so warm... and Rei's lips were as soft as a feather, gliding lightly over Ozuma's mouth placing tender kisses here and there on the corners, in the middle, on his chin. Ozuma could feel that Rei wanted this kiss just as badly as he did. Maybe even more.
He could feel the Chinese boy's strong hand sliding around his waist touching his lower back, pulling him closer. He felt so safe and secure. Like nothing in this world could ever touch him or scare him. He moaned slightly when he felt over-sized canines graze his lower lip before the Rei sucked the light pain away. His tongue dipped into the mixed male's mouth, and suddenly Ozuma loved strawberry corn bread.
Being daring, Ozuma whirled his tongue around receiving a great moan for a response. He kissed down Rei's jaw line to his neck, he could feel the older male's body shiver beneath his hands and it urged him on to nibble there.. gently. "Ozuma," breathed the Chinese boy.
Thoughts of his and Zeo's joking ran through his mind, he remembered his penpal's hand on his privacy, giving it light squeezes and he wished that Rei would do the same to him. Maybe he could coax him into it.
Leaning back on the couch Rei came down with him and he began to laugh, breaking their heated kiss. Ozuma opened his eyes from the brief fantasy he had had. Blinking when he realized that it was just that, a fantasy. But, as luck would have it, Rei was still holding him and why shouldn't he give it a try? Who knows where Kai went. Although, smelling the food there's a chance that he went to make them, or just his self, breakfast so they had some time left to be alone.
"Ozuma?" Rei said as though he had been saying it all that time. Which is probably what Ozuma heard during his fantasy.
When Rei turned his head lightly just as in the fantasy, Ozuma went for it. Pressing his lips to Rei's hearing the boy laugh without a hint of muffle in it. Opening his eyes he saw that he missed Rei's mouth by a mile and he had actually kissed slightly collar bone and neck.
"What are you doing?" Rei asks, pulling out of the hug to look at him.
Ozuma turned his green eyes anywhere else in the room. He couldn't look at Rei, not now, when he had embarrassed himself to no end.
Rei chuckled again, taking Ozuma's chin between his fingers. "That's okay, I like you too." He placed a single kiss half on the younger male's mouth and half on his cheek.
Just as he moved back, Kai walks in and leans against the door. "I made breakfast."
"Great! I'm starving. Ozuma can you stay?"
The Balaji child really wanted to leave. He felt like he had just done something wrong, and he was sure Kai had seen them or had a clue as to what they had done. But the Russian looked oblivious.
"I can't, my mom is getting released from the hospital today and I should be there when she and my dad get back."
"Hmm, okay." Rei stood. "Kai and I'll be over later then."
"Really?"
"Sure, what're friends for... besides, I don't think you should be alone."
Ozuma blushed, lowering his head. "See you guys." He walked out past Kai, and just the brief contact with the Russian made him leave as quickly as he could.
"What's with him?" Asks Kai, watching the hasty retreat.
Rei cocked an eyebrow. "I think he's embarrassed because I kissed him."
This time it was Kai's turn to raise a brow. But Rei waved a hand.
"It was friendly," he walked over to his boyfriend.
Kai smirked catching his boyfriend around the waist when he was close enough. "And," he grilled.
"What?"
"How was it?"
Rei thought a moment. "Like this," and with example he kissed Kai the same way he had Ozuma.
"Tch. You're lame, Rei, if you're gonna cheat on me at least get something out of it."
The Chinese boy laughed, and let his self be lead downstairs into the kitchen.
Ozuma walked home with high cheeks that didn't seem to want to go down. He didn't know how or why it happened but he was pretty sure he had more than a crush on Rei now. He was gone on him, yeah that was the word to describe it.
I hope he does come over later, and who knows, maybe Kai won't be with him and he can show me how to kiss. Shaking his head, he mentally popped himself. What am I thinking, trying to break them up... it's rude! I've known him all and what, two days maybe three and already I'm picking out curtains... besides, what if he's just being nice because he feels bad about what's happening to me.
He wanted to remain thinking that way, but his mind continually showed him pictures of the Chinese boy in his mind. He barely noticed when he got home, or that the front door was open. He merely strolled on in, closed the door behind him and walked upstairs.

Ozuma was beside himself as he lay in his bed. On the one hand, he had never been the type to even consider doing what he was thinking about doing and on the other hand, he was pretty sure now that he had someone to have a reason to do this. He might as well get curiosity over with and do it.
Ozuma had turned on his flashlight, his door was locked and he made sure that it was perfectly okay before doing so as well. He checked in his closet, under the bed and behind the curtain. The room was empty, he wasn't sure where the couple was but at this point he didn't care, he needed relief and quick. The flashlight being on was to ward off the crazed little girl incase she crept in without his noticing it.
Reaching up, he smiled feeling the silky material of the Chinese shirt he's wearing, he had almost forgotten what he was wearing until now. He was in something that belonged to Rei and he couldn't wait to think about him getting him out of it. But he was so unsure of how to do this. Where to start?
I guess I close my eyes and let my hands do the thinking. He felt no shame right now, he just wanted this fantasy to be real as his hand found its way into a slit in the shirt, where the buttons snap, then slipped over his toned chest to his left nipple. Drawing in a sharp breath, he lowered his guard and for a while he dreamed.
Long enough to get his shirt open, long enough to undo the sash around his waist and long enough for his right hand to travel into the pants, that are slightly larger and also Rei's. "Rrr," he bit his lip to avoid moaning out loud, just because he was clear for the moment it didn't mean he had to make any noise to draw attention to himself.
Rei's/Ozuma's hand slid over his inner thigh, before lightly brushing over his needy body part. He stifled another moan; his hand gripped the pillow tightly in response of the touch.
He felt Rei kiss his ear, breathing heavily before he whispered, "Bite my neck, I'll show you a trick." His hair tickled the side of Ozuma's nose as his tongue slipped into the mixed child's ear.
The wind whipped back, pulling trees with it, there was going to be a boom so loud window glass would shake clean out of its framing.
Ozuma's hands were in his/Rei's hair as he arched his back in response of the sucking going on below.
Satisfied with the amount of force it had gathered the raging storm boomed with enough force to knock a house down. The booming snapped Ozuma out of his thoughts, his breathing was heavy and his cheeks were flushed. How could he get so caught up in that? No, he had to stay alert. That was what he need-...
His bed room door was open... not only that, but his flashlight is missing.
"Shit!" He gathered his clothing back on as quickly as he could.
How could he let his guard down like that?! Once his clothes were adjusted, he stepped carefully from his bed and hurried into the hall. At the end, where Dawn's bedroom is, his flashlight turned the corner.
He ran down the hall after the light, choosing not to be afraid- not now. He had to see this girl, face to face. He had to make her stop... or he would stop her himself. Just as he reached the bedroom, no surprise, the door was closed in his face. Expecting it to be locked, Ozuma gave the knob a turn, satisfied that it opened.
The room was completely black, he looked left then right into the darkness. His eyes were well used to the darkness now, and he didn't need to turn on a light. A few feet in front of him, in the middle of the room stands a dark figure. He could tell from the height that it was Dawn.
Taking another step into the room, he closed the door behind him. He wanted this meeting and he didn't need her parents disturbing them by running her off with the lights. He walked to the left, his lips parting he tried to speak to her. "You-..."
But his words were cut off by the flashlight being turned on. It wasn't aimed at him, it was on the opposite wall of where he stood, so he could guess she wasn't facing him. Ozuma watched carefully as the girl turned, slowly, like she were searching the room for some thing she couldn't see. But he was smart and he began to walk as well to keep himself from the light.
"You think you're pretty funny, don't you?" He asked, his voice silky and mean. "You think you can just hurt my family and friends..."
Dawn giggled with joy hearing the Balaji boy talk to her.
"I'm glad you think this is funny, because soon you won't be laughing when I bring you down and your parents for scaring me and hurting my mother."
Dawn giggled some more, never wavering in her rotation and neither did Ozuma. But the beam of the flashlight jiggled as her body shook with laughs.
"Youuu-oooo-oooo," she tried to speak. "Yuuoooo-ooo youuuuuu,"
"Cut the crap, I know you can talk." Ozuma stopped walking and so did Dawn. The beam of light was still opposite of him, then it clicked off. The large shadow that was Dawn rest in his view as he looked at the girl's back.
"Fear the voices in your head," she began to spin quickly.
Ozuma narrowed his eyes at her actions and words. He forgot he was dealing with a headcase. But something compelled him not to run.
"Fear the shadow under your bed."
"Shut up,"
"Mommy is here, daddy too,"
"You're not even singing it right."
"And they are mad 'cause.. I... Choose... you."
On the 'you' the flashlight came back on, the beam aimed directly at the mixed child. He squinted his eyes, grunting from the sudden blindness.
"What are you?" He starts to say when he hears a low growl directly behind him. Turning he gasps seeing Peter standing behind him with his arms already reaching to grab a part of Ozuma.
Just as the boy began to run, his upper arm was latched on to. He struggled within the man's grip but he refused to let go! "Get off!"
But he wouldn't let up even a bit. "Ozuuuumaaaa" He bit down into the child's hair hard enough to rip it away from his scalp, and with the way Ozuma was thrashing about he wasn't helping the matter at all.
When he heard a tearing sound, he cried out in pain. Not to be out done by her husband, Serina grabbed onto Ozuma's legs. The young boy kicked her in the face, but it did nothing to stop her. He panicked when she licked her tongue around his ankle, he was expecting the woman to bite him, but at the time she seemed to just be savoring the skin.
Dawn was laughing like a lunatic. A low thumping sound was caused because of her joyous bouncing up and down. But as luck would have it every time she jumped, the light was taken off of Ozuma and aimed somewhere else. The pain came and went as the family appeared and disappeared in the coming and going of the light.
If I can time this right, when the light is off of me I can run. Oh how he wished he didn't close the door. He walked right into the little brat's trap without even realizing it.
Luckily, Dawn had dropped the flashlight and it landed right on it's active button turning it off. Freed, Ozuma ran for his life toward the exit. The door wouldn't open! He tried the knob over and over, jiggling it in his hand. Why wouldn't it open!
"You're mean... you won't play with me." Dawn was coming toward him. "You mean.. I kill y-..." She broke into a fit of laughter.
Ozuma could feel her brush against his back, her hands went up his own pinning him to the door from behind so that his face was planted into it. He froze in terror, he thought his heart would stop for sure, especially when he felt her hand loosen from his wrist so that she could run it over his face. "Please don't..." He whimpered.
"I kill you, like mommy, like daddy, like Rei... you die now." She began to laugh as her fingers came into his eye socket.
"Nnooooooo!"
Ozuma jumped up out of his sleep. His hands went immediately to his face. His eyes were still there, he wasn't bruised or harmed in any way it seemed. Running his hands over his self, he felt bare skin come in contact with his hands. He was naked, though, not completely as he had Rei's shirt still on but open. The pants were at the foot of the bed. The light was still on, but his bedroom door was cracked open. He wondered for a second what could have happened and who had opened his door. But his thoughts were cut short hearing the phone ringing downstairs.
"Hm?" Gathering himself, he slid back into the clothes, he felt like they were protection of some kind.
Besides that, if his bedroom door is cracked last thing he wants is to go into the closet for a change of clothes. Taking his flashlight, he turned it off. Carefully he stood on the bed making sure to stick the landing as he hopped off of it a good foot or three away from the under side. He didn't know what could be down there waiting for him.
The phone was still ringing in the distance, he wasn't sure who it could be, no one but Zeo knew his number- although he was sure Max did too. He had Rei's number but wasn't sure he had given his to him. Walking down the stairs, he picked up the phone closest to him. "Hel-..." He cleared his sleepy throat and tried again. "Hello?"
"Ozuma... it's me, Zeo."
"Zeo?"
The boy's voice was sad as he spoke. "I'm sorry for being a jerk to you... I never wanted for you to hate me."
"I don't hate you, Zeo. I hate Tyson. He's making me not like you because," he searched for the words. "He isn't a good influence on you."
"I know that... now... I told him that we couldn't be friends anymore." He sniffled. "I want to be your friend."
"Even if it means not being friends with the 'coolest' guy in the neighborhood." The mixed boy rolled his eyes as he spoke, then rubbed some sleep from them.
Zeo chuckled sweetly. "You're the coolest guy in town."
"No, I'm not." Ozuma corrects him. "The coolest in town are being shunned because of jerks like Tyson and you and Max for going along with it."
Zeo was silent. He didn't know what to say. He knew he had hurt Ozuma's feelings, and telling him not to talk to Rei and Kai was part of it. "I'm sorry about that. You can be friends with whoever you want." He paused then adds. "I hope I can be one of them?"
The question in his penpal's voice was obvious, and Ozuma didn't know what to say. On one hand, he would always like Zeo and remember what they had, he was even positive that he still had a crush on the boy. But he didn't know if friendship would work out between them, not if he continually refused to believe him about this house.
"Ozuma?" Zeo wondered if he were still there.
"...I'm sorry, what?"
Zeo sighed in defeat. Ozuma obviously didn't want anything to do with him anymore. "I hope you get everything you want, Ozuma. Rei can't give that to you, he's in love with Kai- very much so. I wouldn't waste my time on him."
"You don't know anything about that, and Rei does love me. He said so." He couldn't believe he said that, Rei said no such words to him at all.
"...Really?"
"Well, no-... Zeo?" He heard the disconnection signal. It must be because of the storm.
Hanging up, he walked into the living room. He wasn't the least bit surprised to see Serina sitting on the couch; the tv turned on to nothing but fuzz. She seemed to be basking in the light of it, not paying him any attention.
Walking into the living room, he stood beside the tv, his flashlight gripped in his hand for dear life. "You know, I can't figure this out for the life of me."
Serina snapped her head in the direction of his voice but she made no attempt to come after him.
"Are you trying to hurt me, or help me?"
"This... hou-.. is ours... you go..." It was Peter, and he was close to him. Too close in fact.
"My family lives here now, either you leave or we'll make you leave..." He had no confidence in those words, he lost his nerve even more when Serina stood from the couch and started over to him.
"No you don't." With his flashlight, he gathered all of his strength then smashed it through the glass on the television.
The tv blew out with a loud snap and power surged through the house, turning the lights completely on before they went back out.
"Ozuma!" His father called, it sounded as though he were upstairs.
"Dad." He went into the kitchen, looking up the stairs.
He could see his father's outline at the top of the stairs. Relief washed over him so quickly he collapsed. The last thing he saw was his father coming downstairs at him. At least, he hoped it was him as his eyes closed with no intent on opening.
