The 7 Elements of New Namek and its... end?

Goten was awakened by the sound of a bird chirping near by. He slowly opened his eyes and saw himself ib a beautiful forest. The trees were surrounding him as if they were all watching him somehow. The moon was full over what he could see from the branches that blocked the sky. The forest somehow seemed to have a life of its own but at the same time it seemed calm and peaceful.

“Hello? Is anyone here?!?” Goten called out, but only heard his echo trail off.

A sweet fragrance suddenly caught Goten’s attention as he looked around. The fragrance was sweet like some kind of flower and fruit mixed together. He followed the smell and as he did so it grew even stronger and sweeter. After some time walking, Goten came to an immense clearing. In the very center was a large tree, who’s size was undescribable. The tree seemed to go beyond the clouds and it had more branches than even god could count. Goten came closer to the tree and saw that on its branches grew strange flowers. He flew up into the sky to reach one of the branches. When he looked down as he reached the branch, he could see for miles on end the forest that surrounded him. He looked at the branch and saw the large flower that was emitting the sweet fragrance. When Goten drew closer the flower bloomed open as if by magic. In the center was a large bulb that looked like passion fruit. Goten plucked it from the flower and smelled its great fragrance. He took a small bite from the fruit and it flooded Goten’s mouth with an incredible delicious juice and pulp. Goten quickly devoured the fruit greedily and moved onward to another and so on . . .

“TAKE AS MUCH AS YOU WANT I HAVE PLENTY.” a voice said softly.

Goten looked around in surprise but saw no one. At first he though it was only his imagination, but for some reason something about the voice he heard made him feel calm and at ease. But, Goten shrugged it off and continued to eat.

“YOU SEEM TO BE VERY HUNGRY,” the voice said again with a slight giggle.
“Who is there?” Goten asked nervously.
“IM RIGHT HERE,” the voice replied.
“Where?,” Goten asked.
“YOUR STANDING RIGHT ON ME, the voice said.

Goten looked down in confusion only to see beneath him the tree branch he stood upon. Suddenly the branch began to move as if it had a life of its own and made itself almost into a bridge letting Goten back down to the ground to the base of the tree.

“What are you?” Goten asked very puzzled.
“I DON’T REALLY HAVE A NAME BUT I AM KNOWN TO ALL AS YGGDRASIL.”
“Yggdrasil?,” Goten repeated in confusion.
“YES, I AM WHAT CONNECTS ALL EXISTENCE, FROM THE UNDERWORLD TO THE PHYSICAL WORLD.”
“Wow! Hey maybe you could help me then. I need to get back to New Namek. I was supposed to face some kind of trial here but I haven’t seen anything. Do you know how I can get back?” Goten asked.
“IM AFRAID TO TELL YOU THAT YOU MUST FACE YOUR TRIAL FIRST BEFORE YOU CAN HELP YOUR FRIENDS.”
“But, what’s my trial?”
“COME HERE AND I WILL SHOW YOU,” Yggdrasil said as its trunk suddenly grew a hole large enough for Goten to fit inside.

Goten slowly stepped inside of the Yggdrasil and saw nothing but darkness.

“What am I supposed to do in here?” Goten inquired very nervously.
“I’M GOING TO SHOW YOU SOMETHING. JUST OPEN YOUR MIND AND HOLD STILL, AND DON’T BE AFRAID.”

Without warning the Yggdrasil wrapped its wines around Goten’s legs and hands. The vines began to pull at Goten from each of its limbs as his body continued to be wrapped up. The vines finally stopped at Goten’s neck leaving his head uncovered.

“Why are you doing this?” Goten demanded as he tried to struggle free.
“I’M NOT TRYING TO HARM YOU GOTEN. PLEASE BE STILL AND OPEN YOUR MIND . . .”

Goten was hesitant but did as the Yggdrasil instructed. Suddenly in front of him opened up what looked like some kind of window through time and space itself, almost like the portal that has brought him to this place. Within it something began to happen, it began to clear and something could be see from inside. Goten saw Trunks fighting Vegeta and losing.

“TRUNKS!!!” Goten yelled out as he tried to break free from the vines and help his lover.
“BE STILL, YOUR ONLY WATCHING WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN.”

Goten watched as he all the Z Fighters face their trials one after the other.

“Why are you showing me this?”
“BECAUSE YOU NEED TO SEE WHAT THE OTHERS HAVE ACCOMPLISHED. GOTEN, DO YOU FEEL ABLE TO GO ONWARD AND FACE WHATEVER YOUR TRIAL MAYBE?” Yggdrasil asked.
“I face whatever I have to!” Goten shouted back.
“THEN SO BE IT . . .”

With that the Yggdrasil brought fourth another vine. The vine was thin and long, and slowly it slithered forward until the very tip of its leafy edge touched Goten’s forehead. Goten felt a great sorrow flowing through his body. He could feel anger and hate now, mixing with the sorrow. His body began to feel pain as the emotions ran through his body and Goten began to cry.

“Stop this, it hurts!” Goten cried out.
“Of COURSE IT HURTS, THESE ARE THE FEELINGS OF THE VICTIMS OF ENKIL. MAGNIFIED A HUNDRED FOLD BY THERE DEATH,” Yggdrasil replied.

Goten tried desperately to escape the grip of the vines that held him, but the effort was not successful. The pain was so intense he could barely breath, his vision became blurry and heart felt like it was about to explode. Goten cried in pain as it all continued through flow through him. Suddenly it became almost like Goten could see all there faces as they cried out before they died. It became unbearable and in a great flash of light Goten transformed into a super saiyan. He kept giving out more and more glowing light u . . . . . in a great boom Goten became super saiyan three. Without a word Yggdrasil let Goten free from its grip. Goten no longer felt anything within him except his own feelings. He was now crouched on the ground breathing heavily grabbing his pounding chest.

“YOU HAVE NOW COMPLETED YOUR TRIAL GOTEN. THROUGH THE PAIN AND SUFFERING YOU HAVE FELT, YOU HAVE REACHED A HIGHER LEVEL. AND NOW . . . ITS TIME FOR YOU TO GO BACK TO NEW NAMEK AND CONTINUE YOUR ADVENTURE,” the Yggdrasil said and as he did so a portal opened up outside.

The Yggdrasil opened his trunk once more letting Goten out. Goten looked up and saw the portal awaiting him.

“Will the portal take me back?” Goten asked worriedly.
“YES, YOU HAVE PASSED YOUR TRIAL AND NOW THE TIME FOR YOU TO RETURN HAS COME. I WISH YOU LUCK . . .”

Goten waved goodbye to the Yggdrasil and flew into the portal with a heavy heart. As the portal took him back he closed his eyes and tried to regain his decorum. When he opened his eyes he was back in normal form. He was sitting down in chair next to Trunks on his right. He tried to move but it was like he was frozen. He couldn’t move or breath or even blink his eyes. The place was like some old gothic theater house and before them all was a stage with the curtains shielding what was behind them. Another portal suddenly opened and from it . . .
