Chapter 18

Trowa circled the ground, he’d be able to land the airplane in the large lake in the sixty five acre valley that had mountains surrounding it. Quatre along with Heero who had saved up a good amount of money over the last three years so he two could say he at lest owned some of the property and feel a bit better about it. Even though the deed to the property was in Heero’s name he still felt better at lest he put some of his hard work into the place as well.

Duo had fallen to sleep on Heero’s shoulder he didn’t even wake when Trowa made the smooth landing on the lake. They would have to walk half a mile to the large two story cottage that had pine trees and maple trees surrounding it. There was no drive way to this house it was very hidden. There was a town a they could easily ride horses to, when they’d need some baby supplies.

Behind the cottage was the horse fields the entire property was horse fields it was all fenced in, there was a big blue and white barn about two acres away from the house they had to walk through. The mini pine tree and maple forest to get to the barn, the forest that surrounded the valley had all kinds of trees like ash, oak, beach, and chestnut.

It was a lovely evening it got darker in the valley sooner because the mountains were so high the sun would normally set around five pm then rise again around eight am. The sky had a frosty pink tint to it as the suns beams shone up from behind the mountains.

Quatre loved the beauty of this large valley he was glad it was all theirs, they needed a place where they could hide away. The thing about this valley though was all around the edges there was sensors that would alert the gundam boys of any enemies trying to break in. The sensors could tell between animals or humans. They did have signs up that said Do not Trespass, Trespassers will be killed. If anyone tried to cross the fence that wasn’t an animal would be shot to death with lazars there was cameras all around the fence area as well.

Also they made sure the sixty five acre lot was not detectable by satellite, or by any other enemy radar. Pretty much this patch of earth was invisible to the world not even on the map and not even able to be seen from the sky. As the cottage and barn were covered by trees and the electrical waves of the computers would not hit anyone else’s to alert for digital activates that may be in that area. The boys could send out no one could send in Heero liked it this way a hideaway not even doctor J could tap into. Doctor J didn’t even know about this place that was the way he liked it to stay.

Trowa turned the engine off after he parked the plane, “Alright we are here,” he said turning his face toward his friends. His green eye gleamed with content for once knowing they were safe and no one could bug them.

Quatre smiled “I love this place,” Quatre said and unbuckled his seat belt, “Heero would you like me to take Xanatos for you?” He wondered hopefully. Trowa got out of the plane and opened the steps to the side of it and put it on the dry ground so no one would have to wade through the water.

“Alright, go ahead and get him in his crib at the cottage I’d like a little bit of alone time with Duo anyways.” Heero said and held the baby out for Quatre who happily took him and walked of the plane. He and Trowa walked toward the cottage together leaving the pair alone.

Duo had yet to wake up, Heero still had his other arm around his sleeping love. Poor thing he thought. Always so tired, he rubbed his finger tips over Duo’s bruised face gently. He really hated to wake him up. The warm mountain breeze blew into the plane and brushed over the two lover’s faces. The scent of mountain flowers rode in on the breeze it smelled like lilacs and snow ball flowers with a mix of pine.

Duo moved his face from the comfortable position it had been on Heero’s shoulder toward the lovely warm sent. He opened his eyes he had to blink a few times to see something he had never seen before, mountains in the distance a long green lush field full of all kinds of meadow flowers. He sat up right away his blanket falling off of his shoulders. He brought his hand up and pushed his bangs away from his eyes. He couldn’t believe it, he had this strange warm feeling in his chest. It felt much better than the feel of the heavy sand bag feeling it was caring when he first came into the airplane.

“No Duo, your not dreaming my love” Heero spoke up and Duo turned around to look at Heero. His violet eyes seemed to have trapped the pure mountain day light or what was left of it. His eyes seemed to shine and sparkle with happiness.

“You took me to the mountains,” Duo smiled at Heero and leaned in and kissed Heero on the lips. Heero kissed him back and as they kissed Duo heard a snorting sound outside of the airplane. His eyes widened and he turned around. “Oh,” he said putting his hands to his mouth, his heart beat with an excitement he had never known before. There in his sites was a beautiful blonde colored one year old horse with blue eyes and a white mane.

“Well Duo are we just going to look or would you like to walk among your new home,” Heero wondered amused since Duo had yet to move from his spot.

“Hell yeah I do!” Duo said and stood up quickly and came down the steps and starched he was happy to see there was yet another horse only this on had a nice red coat and a black mane. “Wow what is up with the horses?” Duo had to know as he approached the blonde he liked that one.

“Well,” Heero said coming out of the plane as well, “They are yours,” Heero shrugged watching Duo reach his hand out to the blonde horse who hits his nose into Duo’s finger tips. Duo ran his hand up the horses nose then brought his hand around and ran it over his nice muscular neck.

“Mine?” Duo said in a disbelieving tone, “by the way where is Xanatos?” He wondered as he stroked the horse on his side.

“Quatre and Trowa took him to the cottage so he can lay in his crib,” Heero told Duo as he patted the red horse on the nose.

“Oh ok,” Duo said softly feeling better about that now, “So this is where I am going to live now. If it has horses and mountains then this place sure dose beat out all.” Duo said looking around the lovely lot. “I want this horse for myself.” He said going on patting the blonde.

“Very well Duo he is yours,” Heero agreed with Duo, “Well would you like to go see the cottage?” Heero wondered Duo walked over to Heero and hugged him.

“Sure of course I do,” He said nuzzling his cheek on Heero’s chest Heero ran his hands up and down on Duo’s back. “Alright then come on,” Heero said breaking the hug. He took Duo by the hand and began to walk with him toward the house. Duo looked up at the pretty sky as Heero led him.

“This place its just so huge” Duo proclaimed happily, “I have never seen the sky look so big before. Nor have I ever believed it could look so beautiful,” he sighed biting his lip as he walked his braid dangling down behind him as he looked. He chuckled softly, “I think I am sounding like Quatre.”

“Nothing wrong with enjoying the beauty of nature and the earth Duo” Heero said as they came to the two acre of trees the horses had fallowed behind the couple the whole way.

Duo looked over his shoulder, “I think the two really like us too” he smiled “It will be fun coming up with a name for the blonde boy.” Duo said happily though he was still sad inside from what had happened. The horses and the beauty were helping greatly and Heero, “Oh where is Ace and Aires?” Duo wondered blinking remembering two other babies they just got.

“Quatre brought them with him, they are back in the airplane,” Heero said snapping his fingers “He had put them in the puppy carrier when we picked him up. Come on lets go get the poor things.” Heero said letting Duo’s hand go he started to jog back toward the plane.

Duo fallowed closely behind him Heero had made it there easily enough and bent in and picked up the puppy carries they were both sleeping soundly though. “Aw poor fellows,” Duo said shaking his head he took Ace’s create for Heero. Heero then shut the airplane steps and once again the two lovers started back to the cottage hand in hand.
