Notes: This Fic is one of my many strange ones...there is something missing from it...Reviews would be nice.
Heero held onto Duo tightly, He did not know what has gotten Duo so upset to the point whee wae was crying openly, but Heero was happy to finally have the braided angel in his arms and never let go. Today on his Birthday, he is going to announce his love for the braided boy, but as they danced and when he kissed Duo, it seems as it Duo felt the same way.
This brought a smile upon Heero\'s lips. Heero was just about to whisper the words of love to Duo\'s ears when suddenly Duo seemed to have gone limp in his arms.
\"DUO?\" Heero shook the boy in his arms. There was no response. Heero sank to the floor with Duo in his arms. The crowd which was around the two boys parted. Worried glances and whispers flown in the air as everyone is wondering what has happened.
\"DUO!\" Heero said again. \"Oh god please wake up...your scaring me!\" Heero shook Duo lightly, but the only thing he managed to do was to lolled Duo\'s head back and fourth.
\"Heero! What happened!\" Releana said as she pushed her way through the crowd.
\"What is going on here!\" Quatre asked as the other 3 pilots reached Heero. Once they saw Duo on the floor not responding, Wufei quickly whipped out his cell phone to call the hospital while the other pilots went to clear the crowd and give more space and Relena went to find Sally who was out in the gardens with Noin and Une.
\"What is going on here!\" Sally said rushing over.
\"I have no idea, he just collapsed in my arms, we were just dancing, I don\'t know\" Heero said franticly.
Sally checked Duo\'s vital signs. \'This is not good\' she thought as she felt no pulse or no air going in and out of the ex-pilots lungs. Did Did someone call the ambulance?\" Sally asked.
\"Yes, I called them already!\" Wufei said.
\"Well I hope they get here fast! He\'s not breathing! Someone help me with CPR!\" Sally said \"Everyone clear out and give me some room!\"
\"What can I do to help?\" Heero said frantically.
\"One thing for starter, set Duo down do that he is lying on his back\" Sally said \"someone give me a coat or something for his head.\"
Trowa Quickly shrugged off his coat and handed it to Sally to put under Duo\'s head.
\"Heero, I have no doubt that you remember how to do CPR right?\" Sally told Heero, Heero nodded his head yes, \"I\'m going to do chest compressions and you do mouth to mouth, don\'t forget to count\" Sally said.
\"Understood,\" Heero said getting into position.
While everyone stayed back and watched the drama, Heero and Sally gave Duo CPR while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
By the time the ambulance arrived, place Duo onto the stretcher, they somehow felt that it was too late to save their friend. It has been way too long. They knew that the human body could not last longer then 10 minutes without oxygen. If they were to even revive Duo in the hospital, there would be an 80 percent chance that by then, Duo would have suffered brain damage.
Heero fell to his knees. He didn\'t know what happened. Today was supposed to be his day. His special day where there was laughter, happiness, and Duo by his side. Tears dow down his face. This was all a dream; it has to be a dream. Heero thought to himself. He did eve even feel the arms that picked him up from the ground and ushered him into the building where the party was not officially over. After what has just happened, there is no way anyone would be in the mood to continue. Not even the birthday boy.
\"Heero, I think you need to lay down,\" Quatre said softly. Quatre had known that Duo has been in Heero\'s eyes for some time now and thought that it would be perfect for Heero to announce his love for the boy during his birthday, but he didn\'t intend for it to be too late. Duo the lively one out of the whole group was not supposed to leave so soon. Death came to claim back his angel, and at the same time break another angel\'s heart. The world was so unfair to Heero and his emotions. Just when Heero was getting to be so open with the help of Duo, god had to take it all away.
Heero just stood there like a zombie. He didn\'t know what to do, not anymore. Everything in his life is taken away. The little girl, the one thing he had to live for was the war, and then Duo came a long and made Heero realize that the world is a beautiful place, then after the war, Duo became Heero\'s goal in life, and now that is taken away as well. The only thing that ran through Heero\'s mind was that how much he wanted to be with Duo...
