“Get up you baka.” He growled, a small smirk crest his stony features. He ran his finger through his inferno hair, pulling it down for a moment, only to have it spring back to life. He brushed a few smudges of dust from his silky spandex waiting for Goku to stand upright.
“So you’re coming?” He jumped to his feet, stumbling a bit with excitement. His face brightened and his eyes sparkled. He took several deep breaths trying to settle his enthusiasm. His hands shook as he brushed off his knees.
“You look like you are going to wet yourself.” Vegeta smirked, his arms were still crossed over his dirty and torn glossy textile. His eyes scanned over the man before him, analyzing the situation. Trying desperately to figure out why he, the dunce of his race, would want him to stay at his home. Why he did not fear the prince like everyone else, like the blue haired woman, the scar faced man, the midget, the old man. They all cowered in his presents, yet this man wanted him in his home. To be alone with him, in the woods, away from everyone. In a place that the Prince could easily eliminate the younger man and no one would know. At least not until his harpy bitch of a wife came home with his offspring.
“So you are coming aren’t you?”
“I don’t see why not.”
“Then come on!” He kicked off the ground leaving a large donut of dust behind him. His pants rippled in the wind and the excess orange fabric covered a small amount of his black boots. His unhealed wounds seeped an insignificant quantity of blood into the cool air as they slowly clotted sca scabs. His hair tugged backwards in the wind, exposing his childlike face to the world below.
The prince followed silently. His thoughts still on the man in front of him, his eyes glued to the blurs below that would mold into the world he was forced to live in. With all the lives he could take without a second thought, without a care. His mind raced with these thoughts of destruction, how easy it all would be to steal a ship and blow this planet into tiny mites. Watching as the world imploded and vanished in the vastness of space. The black of the universe would swallow it and it would mean nothing to him. His heart and his ties died with his planet, his father, his last remaining companions, died when he saw Kakorot.
The man before him slowed in an area filled with large trees and plants. The whisper of a peaceful river quietly drowned out the sound of vivacious birds and woodland creatures. The gentle plop of fish echoed through the creaking branches of the elderly plant life. The forest gave way to a small circular clearing a hundred yards ahead of them. The soft cut grass swayed and danced in the light breeze created by their power and the solid cabin, with a glistening metal dome attached to the right side of the house, stood firm, un-giving, to the winds they produced. Their touch down was muted by the healthy foliage of the yard.
“Well it isn’t much, but this is home.”
“I would think you would live in a city.”
“Huh, why is that?” Vegeta just looked at him with a cocked eyebrow. Goku laughed his hand automatically went to the scar on the back of his head. The scar that made him the man he was today. The scar that took away his anger and gave him happiness. The scar he wished everyone had.
“Never mind Baka.”
“Ok. You hungry ‘Geta?”
“I’m a Saiyan. I am always hungry. You are a testament to that fact.”
“Who pissed in you oatmeal this morning?”
Vegeta’s face twisted in confusion. “I did not eat oatmeal this morning. I had boar.”
Goku shrugged. “Bulma said that to Chichi once and she laughed. I thought maybe you would to.”
“I don’t laugh.”
“Uhh well, come on in. I’ll show you which room you can have.”
Vegeta gave a slight nodded and followed the corpulent man into the small house. The inside was immaculate. No dust, no misplaced toys, no sign of true life met his eyes. The wood work in the cabin seemed to shine with cleanliness. The couch cushions were fluffed and the throw rugs had been beat. The lingering smell of homemade bread hung in the air. As they ascended the stairs the smell of fresh linens and lemon cleaner assaulted the prince’s nose. To him it was a nice change from the moldy, musty, damp, dirty cave he had been reduced to.
“Down that way is the bathroom. Over there is my room and the one right next to it at the end of the hall is yours. Right here is where the towels and bed stuff is kept. Did you want some clean cloths or anything? I am sure I have something that would fit.”
“No I prefer to get a shower and climb back into mud coated clothing.”
“Hehe Your kidding right?” Goku laughed. The melodic sound of the man’s voice made the prince shiver. His smile filled his face and brought his eyes to life. All Vegeta could do was look at him. For the second time today he was shocked into speechlessness. “Come on lets see what Chichi left for us to eat.”
“I am sure she indented for those meals to be solely for you.”
“That’s ok if we run out we can just go to Capsule Corp. Bulma always has food there.”
“The blue haired woman?” The prince’s face twisted in disgust. This woman, Goku’s friend, was loud, annoying, arrogant, self-centered, carefree, and intelligent. A combination that Vegeta felt should never be blended. Her beauty was breath taking, her body perfect. Perfect that was until she opened her mouth. Then ing ing but rude obscene things poured from her petite frame. Things a woman would have been killed for on planet Vegeta.
“Yah, she’s scared of you but I can’t figure out why. I mean I know you tried to kill us all but that is over, you won’t do it again.”
“I won’t?”
“No, want some turkey?” The prince merely shrugged and accepted the meat handed to him. He slowly warmed it with his power, a soft yellow glow engulfing the carcass. Tiny lines of steam poured from the roasted flesh of the deceased bird. The sweet smell of cooked meat filled the tiny kitchen as Goku pulled a large bird out for himself.
The two men sat at the quaint wooden table in the kitchen, devouring the food they had placed before them. Small grunts and satisfied groans mixed with the wet slopping of lips on tender cooked flesh filled the warm air of the house. Goku’s empty plates clattered against the oak of the table as he finished each one. Small chunks of food rained down to the wooden floor and onto his bare chest.
Vegeta watched with a horrified fascination as minuet pieces of turkey clung to Goku’s chest. He watched as the man’s lips wrapped around the meat and his teeth tore into the flesh. He watched as he licked each finger clean and his tongue darted over each digit. Suddenly Vegeta did not feel hungry anymore. His stomach turned and his head swam much like the food that was floating in the glass of water placed before the ger ger man.
He gentle set what remained of his meal on an empty plate and stood. His joints crackled a bit but went unheard. He glared at Goku, who slowly put down his meal. “Uhh ‘Geta?” Vegeta smirked, finally the fear that he had searched for was instilled in the youth. Finally the respect that was demanded to be given to royalty was showing in this morons features.
“What?”
“Heh uhh are you going to eat that?” Vegeta growled. His lips twitched in the familiar anger that often visited his soul. He forcefully pushed the half eaten bird at Goku, knocking over the tainted water in the process.
Goku sprung from the table, the chair he had been sitting in tumbled to the ground. “What was that for?”
Vegeta allowed a smirk to grace his features, “I’m taking a shower.”
“WHAT? You’re just gonna leave this mess here?”
“It’s water. It will dry.”
=*= Ok slow starting I know but its all I can do as of right now. I am working like a fool and just think my schedule is nothing compared to Noel’s who asked me to tell everyone who just happens to be reading this and “Just a Face” or “Dominus De Cupiditas” that they are on the back burner right now. She hasn’t been getting home until midnight and going back to work at six am, six out of seven days a week. On the seventh day she’s doing her own things like laundry and stuff. So she says sorry. Anyway back to the important things in life....the people who reviewed. You guys are so awesome. It fueled me to write this chapter...to stay up all hours of the night just to finish it. Right now I am on my ghetto laptop without an internet connection at three in the morning writing this. I have to say thank you to those who are members of SYGV who read and reviewed first of all. I have read a little of everything you guys have written and posted and I must say that it puts me to shame. To those of you who are not in SYGV, if you left your name I went and looked at your stories and there is not a one that I did not like. Unfortunately I usually read stories while I am at work so reviewing isost ost impossible. But if ever I read while I am at my mothers I will review. Though since I do not live there anymore it is hard. I just wanted you guys to know that I do read. Thank you all for your lovely comments and Someone said not to take their comment about Goku’s personality as a flame....I don’t believe in flames first of all... Every comment is warranted and based on someone else\'s opinion. Therefore it is never wrong. Second you worded it in a way that it could never be taken as such, so no worries. Much love Misa_The_Great=*=
