The Day After

Chapter 2 - The Day After
Goku had won, so they said. But still he was nowhere around. He wouldn't be coming back until Kami knew when, but they knew he was still alive at least. Everyone seemed happy enough with that, except one person.
Why I decided to let him move in is still confuses me. I mean, we don't want him wandering around Earth on his own. If he stays here, everyone can keep an eye on him. The Nameks have all been shown to their rooms, now I had to find him and take him to his room and hope he didn't hate it. I don't know what to expect from him. Once we got back home he went off about how he was the strongest in the universe now, but once he'd heard that Goku had killed Frieza he'd abruptly shut up. In fact, he'd seemed more than a little upset by the fact. I'd been watching him since we first realized he'd been wished back with us. I have to admit, he's cute in a bad ass sort of way. I even told him so like an idiot. He just gave me a weird look and called me a moron. Nice guy. Can't even take a compliment.
I looked around outside, walked around the whole compound, and didn't see one spiky lock. I asked mom if she'd seen him and she gave me her usual vague smile as she shook her head. Figures. The woman, Kami bless her, has practically no brains. Thank God I got my intelligence from my Father. So I decided to check inside, hoping against hope that he hadn't just decided to leave and blow up half of America.
The kitchen was empty and I would have no seen him if I hadn't heard him say: "It's almost time for her to come up." What the?
He was on the couch. His little boots lined up against the wall and he was curled up fast asleep. His lips continued to move silently. I felt an involuntary smile creep on my face. So he talk in his sleep does he? Interesting. Even more interesting was the fact the his arms covered his chest, almost protectively. And his hands were tucked just underneath his chin. And he looked about five years younger asleep. If I'd thought he looked cute before, I was blown away now. Cute didn't even describe the picture before me. Even the badly broken battle armor oddly added to the effect. Hddenddenly looked like a child lost in a grown up world. It was perplexing and my curiosity of him deepened.
I wondered, not for the first time, how old he really was. He looked as if he'd just come into adult hood physically. But to see him awake and hear him speak was to add ten or more years onto her estimate of his age. I'd rarely met a man who acted older than he was. Most men I knew were adult boys.
Maybe all Saiyans were that way, but it didn't explain Goku. But everyone had come to realize that by Saiyan standards, Goku was an aberration.I haI had seen Radditz for a few minutes, but I'd been so terrified at the time, I hadn't been thinking about what kind of person he was. And besides, it was quite obvious that he was an asshole.
How long was I going to stand here staring at him? Should I wake him up and show him his room or leave him alone? I decided against waking him, knowing full well how pissed I get when people wake me.
Damn it. What the hell is wrong with me? I wonder as I continue to stare. But I can't tear my eyes away. He's so damn.. CUTE!! Damn it! I'm attracted to a murderer! Go figure Bulma. You may be a genius when it comes to mechanics, but when it comes to relationships, you're a total moron.

Trust me these aren't all going to be about Vegeta, but a lot of them might. But I have a few ideas for Goku, ChiChi, Piccolo.. pretty much everyone. So sit tight! More to come!
