Sloth

Whee, I actually got some pretty nice feedback about this. ^_^ I'm happy. This is my first actual "fanfic" so I'm trying to read a lot to see what people want. I'm so sorry about it being late and all, I just never got the time to sit and write. Anyway, let's go to the legal stuff.

These characters aren't mine.

I don't own Full metal Alchemist, and I never will... T_T

I get a lot of my quotes from Kodaka Kazuma's Hughes X Roy doujinshi cause I like them and they work. Again! Please don't sue me! And go read her doujinshi! They're like really really good.

Pairing: Roy X Hughes, Hughes X Roy

Just to let you know, since there are 7 deadly sins, there are only 7 chapters. Like a said, short, but good. Also, please note that the characters might be OCC, but... I made them fit with the plot line, so please, don't get pissed off at me!

Seven Deadly Sins of Love

Sin Two - Sloth

By Trinity Renee

2. Sloth, n. -

Aversion to work or exertion; laziness; indolence.

Heh...

Me? Lazy? Pfft...

I'm not lazy...

A drunkard, maybe, but never lazy...

I only drink to get laid.

After all, the one person I want I can't have.

I'll have to settle for women...

I guess...

"Hey, what's this mountain of beers lying around? This doesn't look like a high salaried State Alchemist's place..." Major Hughes muttered as he walked into Roy's apartment, set on trying to get the man to accept that he was getting married. Slowly, he took off his black over-coat, looking at a flushed and drunk Roy through the rims of his glasses. "Your place should be more tidy, and remember to lock it up."

"There's no need to use a key..." The flame alchemist drawled out as he sat on his bed, looking back up at Hughes with his coal eyes. "There's nothing in here that's worth stealing..." He gave off a drunken smile, finishing what beer was in the can his held as he rested on his hand. "My... You shouldn't be neglecting your new fiancé. You should be keeping her smiling, not spending time with an old co-worker..."

"Are you sure you should be drinking more?" Maes muttered as he sat on the bed next to Roy, opening a bottle of sake the man asked him to bring. "You've already downed quite a few..."

"Don't worry. This alcohol is for celebration, so I can have as much as I want..."

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Roy found himself in a bar that night a few blocks away from Hughes' home. The Colonel knew that he shouldn't be in Central right now; he had work up in the east... But hell, he wanted to see Hughes once. And look where that got you... Roy's mind whispered as he offered his glass of bourbon a smirk. You're drunk in a bar, like you always get when you realize that you can't have the infamous Lieutenant Colonel Maes Hughes.

Roy didn't even notice the door to the bar opening as the man in question walked in, golden eyes scanning through all of the drunkards in the place. It wasn't hard to spot the Flame Alchemist. The drunken man sat slumped against the bar, head down over a glass. Hughes let off a soft sigh to himself, staring at his friend. To see his friend like this, it brought back too many memories. Swiftly, Hughes found a seat next to Roy, ordering a scotch as he looked at the Colonel. Roy just ordered another bourbon. "Are you sure you should be drinking more?" Hughes muttered, noting how pink Roy's cheeks were. "You've already downed quite a few..."

"Don't worry. This alcohol is for celebration, so I can have as much as I want..." Roy slurred out, watching the bartender place a full bottle of bourbon on the bar. With a drunken grin, Roy picked up the bottle and examined it, like he would a document. "Mmm... This here's a pricey brand... don't mind if I do..." He turned and gave Hughes a grin, noting the utterly annoyed look on the Lieutenant Colonel's face. Roy only raised an eyebrow, shoving the bottle into Maes' face. "Maybe I shouldn't... You need a taste of it too! Take a swig..." Roy swayed a bit in his seat, causing Hughes to wrap an arm around him to keep him sitting on the barstool. The Colonel didn't even notice as he continued his drunken slur. "I've already been drinking so go right ahead! This here was given because of me..." Roy grinned even more. "A superior officer commands you to drink it..."

"Alright, it's time to get you home." Hughes muttered as he stood, wrapping one of Roy's arms around his shoulder as he left money on the bar for the Colonel's tab. It wasn't hard to get Roy to stand, what was hard was getting the drunken man to walk. After much protest from the drunk Colonel, the two finally stumbled outside into the cold of night, Hughes literally dragging Roy's ass home. The closest home was Roy's, but he couldn't leave the poor man alone... Looks like he'd be making a call to Gracia later...

On the way to his apartment, Roy grinned and swung the bottle of bourbon he had bought, trying to push away from Hughes to dance as he began to sing. "Muchuu de... HAYAKU!!! KAKE nuketa kita... Urusai kurai ni harisake sou na kodou no TAKANARI!!! Hibite... YONDE!!! IRU KIMI no koe... Koko de tachidomaru you na jikan wa nai sa READY!! STEADY GOOOOOOOOO!!!" The Colonel cracked up laughing after his vain attempt in singing, pushing away from Hughes for a moment to walk on his own. "Don't carry me, Lt. Colonel!! I'm a BIG boy!!" He proclaimed, only to stumble over his feet and fall towards the ground, Maes catching him before he crashed. Roy blinked for a moment, then laughed again. "I almost went SPLAT!!"

"God... How many times have I dragged your drunk ass home now?" Hughes mumbled as he wrapped Roy's arm over his shoulder, almost carrying the man up the steps to the apartment.

"I'm not drunk... I'm just drinkin'!" Roy giggled madly, pulling out his keys to try and open the door. With a triumphant noise, the door swung open and he fell inside, pulling Hughes in with him. Hughes made an irritated sound as he forced Roy to sit, only to roll his eyes as the Colonel stood back up and leaned on him.

"We go through this every year... What's the problem this time?"

"No problemo..."

"Is it Ishbal?"

"NO!!!!"

"Roy... How many times have we gone through this? It's not your fault!"

"I know it's not my fault..." Roy slurred out, throwing his hands up with his next statement. "It's ALL of our faults!! God..." He looked up at Maes with a drunken grin, wrapping his arms around the taller man's shoulders. "Why do you have to be so sexy when you're mad?"

"Listen to yourself, Roy..." Hughes mumbled as he tried to get the Colonel to sit back down. "You're not even making sense!"

"Of course I am!" Roy clung more to Hughes, burying his face in the crook of the man's neck as he purred, moving up to catch the lobe of his ear between teeth. "I'm making perfect sense..."

Hughes shook his head and pushed at Roy, finally getting the drunken man to sit. "Stay there..." But as soon as he got those words out, Roy was standing and leaning on him once more.

"Oooo... Push me again like that... I like it when you're forceful." Roy purred, pushing at Hughes to try and get him towards the bedroom. Hughes just fought. Suddenly, Roy smirked and leaned upward, catching Hughes' lips in a deep and powerful kiss.

Hughes' eyes widened as Roy kissed him. Even though he was married, he always had an attraction towards Roy, since the first time they met. It wasn't Roy kissing him that shocked him; it was that Roy was being this aggressive. He pushed the drunken Colonel back, breaking the kiss, and raised his hand... the sound of a slap echoed in the room. There was a moment of silence before Roy turned to look at Hughes, that look in his eyes that showed he was truly sorry for being the depressed little fuck that he was. Maes said nothing more as he turned Roy around and made him walk, going straight into the bedroom and getting the man to lie down. Once sure that Roy wouldn't be leaving, Hughes straightened and ran a hand through his hair. "Stay there, ok? I'll get you something to make sure the hang over isn't bad..."

Hughes turned to leave, only to stop when he felt Roy grab a hold of his uniform sleeve. "Maes..."

"Mn?"

"I... um... No... Never mind..." Roy stuttered out, looking away when he felt a faint blush cross his cheeks. He had always envied the other's wife, thought she was a lucky woman to have Maes as a husband. It made him wish that he had told Hughes his true feelings when he had the chance.

"I'm going to make a couple phone calls..." Hughes muttered, pulling Roy out of his thoughts. The Colonel just nodded and watched as the man in question disappear into the apartment. It wasn't long before his deep voice reverberated back to Roy. He was talking to his commanding officer, telling him that he needed off the next day to take care of a friend. Of course he wouldn't disclose what friend he was taking care of. The second call, however, was one that Roy did not want to hear.

"Hey Honey."

"Oh, nothing is wrong, Roy's just sick."

"He's doing just fine- No no. There's no need to check up on him."

"He's going to be fine, love, but I'm going to stay here and make sure of that."

"Yea. Don't worry about me. How's Elysia?"

"Oh good. She's not going to be scared, is she?"

"Ok."

"Gracia, He'll be fine."

"I really don't want to leave him alone here tonight."

"Alright, I'll bring something home tomorrow."

"I love you too Honey."

"Bye."

Roy let off a soft growl. Not only did he envy Gracia for being with Hughes, but he hated her as well. What right did she have to go take the man he had longed for for years? Oh, right, how could he forget? She was normal... The sound of Hughes' returning footsteps pulled Roy out of his thoughts as he watched the man walk back in with a cool washcloth in one hand and a class of water and bottle of Advil in the other.

Hughes didn't say anything as he placed the items aside, getting things situated before picking up the Advil and pouring out some in his hand. He got Roy to take the pills and a drink of the water, and was just placing the washcloth on the man's head before he spoke softly. "You didn't have to do that for me, Maes..."

"I wanted too."

"Why? Why do you care about me when no one else does?"

"You're my best friend, why wouldn't I care?"

Roy sat in silence as Hughes kept himself busy, making sure Roy was comfortable. The unnerving silence continued as Hughes pulled away, finding there was nothing else to do. "I'll go make you something to eat."

"I'm not that hungry..."

"Oh... Well then... uh... What can I do for you?"

"I don't know... You've done so much for me already..." Roy looked away, his blushing worsening as he tried to turn his back on Hughes. But, being the investigative officer that he was, Hughes knew that Roy wanted something more... Something that meant violating his marriage vows to fulfill.

"You want me, don't you?" Roy's eyes almost bugged out of his head as he stared at Hughes for a moment, trying to analyze him. His blush worsened as he turned to hide his face, hearing the Lt. Colonel move about in the room. "Is it true?"

"...Yea..."

The silence that followed was soon broken by the sound of cloth hitting the floor. Roy quickly turned, catching Hughes pulling the black shirt he wore over his head. The blush on Roy's face became deeper as he jumped out of bed. "M-Maes! What are you doing?! You... You don't have to do this!"

Hughes merely paused and looked up at Roy, his hands in the middle of undoing his pants. "You think I lied to my wife because I felt like it?"

"Maes..."

"Roy, have you ever questioned why I work so hard for you?"

"I... I didn't think you could ever return my feelings... I didn't care why, I was just happy being near you..." Roy choked out, trying to sound straight through his drunken slur. An uneasy silence settled between them once more before Hughes moved, catching Roy's lips in a searing and passionate kiss. Giving Hughes complete control of his mouth, Roy moved them both to where he was laying on top of Hughes, fingers digging into the sheets. The kiss lasted till both men were panting, Hughes looking up at Roy with a flushed face. "Maes..." Roy whispered, reaching down to take off Hughes' glasses as the Lt. Colonel worked to declothe his superior officer. It wasn't long before both of them were nude, Hughes on top of Roy, their lips locked in a passionate war once more.

Hughes let his hands roam, fingers tracing and memorizing the panes of Roy's chest. They brushed against nipples, rubbing and rolling to force them into hard knobs. They moved down hips and touched thighs, causing Roy to moan loudly. Hughes moved his lips, down the side of Roy's neck to a pert nipple, teasing and tasting, loosing himself in all that was Roy. Finally, Roy had enough of the foreplay as he pulled Hughes back up to him, catching the man's lips in a deep and powerful kiss.

No words were said as Hughes looked for lube, to his surprise finding some in the drawer of the nightstand. A smirk crossed Hughes' lips as he looked up at Roy, gold eyes hungry and wanting more. "Were you expecting me?" He purred, licking his way up Roy's neck. Roy's answer was a moan as Hughes lubed up a finger and pushed it past the tight ring of muscle, searching for and finding that one spot that send the Colonel in a massive wave of pleasure. The stretching process was rushed; two fingers, three fingers... Finally, Hughes pulled his hand away and reached for a condom he found, only to have Roy's hand stop him.

"I want you, Maes... I want all of you..."

"But Roy..."

"I don't care... I want you..."

"..." Hughes simply nodded and lubed his straining member, pushing past the ring of muscle and burying himself in the heat of Roy's body. Roy let off a pleasure-filled cry, Hughes a grunt as he started a slow but steady rhythm. He would push in to the hilt, then pull back enough to get Roy begging. His pace and power picked up as both neared completion. Maes moved his lips down, finding a patch of skin and claiming it as his. He sunk his teeth into the skin, a hand finding its way between their bodies to rub and stroke at Roy's leaking member. Roy suddenly gave out a cry as blinding white pleasure filled him, his body spazzing from the force of his climax.

The sudden tightness of Roy's body caused Maes to moan out as he too found completion, his body shaking as he emptied himself inside of his friend and colleague. Panting heavily, Hughes pulled himself out and collapsed next to Roy on the bed, looking at his friend. The man had passed out, and layed sprawled out next to Hughes as if it was an everyday thing. As he watched, a thought passed through Hughes' mind...

What about Gracia?
