For 6 years, the time they had spent together, nothing grew where they had fallen and been buried, nor for 5 miles in any direction. On the anniversary of their deaths, a small gold flower with black streaks appeared on their grave and spred to cover the surrounding desert; the legacy of two reluctant heroes and one legendary love.
