ACT 1, part 2
"Master Quatre?" A heavily accented arabian voice spoke.
Quatre drops his hands from under his chin and turns to see Rashid's worried expression. He frowns, realizing that he had slipped off into his own thoughts again, "Sorry."
Rashid looks at the rest of his men then back to Quatre, "Perhaps we should continue business another time. Shall we say, after you have addressed your guest's needs first?" He rose up. "We can always continue this tomorrow afternoon."
Quatre nods and watches Rashid and his men leave his balcony. He gets up and moves to the balcony's edge. He stares over the Bosphorous River and frowns. "I can't believe this...this is low, even for you Heero." He leans on the railing, watching as a tour boat sails smoothingly along the surface of the water. He turns and rests on his elbows, looking up at the clear afternoon sky. The sun shined through his blonde locks and made him squint a bit.
Quatre tilts his head and blinks. Relena was standing on the balcony, looking around. They saw each other and waved at one another, before Quatre ran over to join her on that side of the veranda. "Good afternoon Miss Relena." He gave her a small smile as he leans on the railing next to her. "Feeling any better?"
Relena smiles, "Good afternoon, Quatre. No, not really." She looks at him, admiring his handsome features, despite the concern of worry spread across his face. No one would believe him to be half-arabic, had it not been for his name and father's heritage. His mother was French and he had definitely taken after her in terms of appearance. She turns away, trying to hide from his angelic expression of sadness. She rests on railing some more, her head hung over the edge, "Did you know about Heero's wife?"
Quatre shakes his head, "No. I only found out about it this morning from Duo." After mentioning his comrade's name from the war, he saw Relena look up at him with a rueful expression. "I guess he told you what happened then." Quatre gave a nod, half-smiling, almost jokingly stating. "I almost didn't believe it. It's very unlady-like for Relena to pull a gun out on someone."
Relena gave a smile then felt tears well up in her eyes again. She sniffed back the sadness and shakes her head softly. "I would have never done something so ridiculous as that, but I loved him...I still do, yet..." Her eyes continued to water as she quietly stood there. Her eyes shut and she breathed in, "It's not fair."
"It never is..." He spoke softly, watching Relena as she cried silently. A lady like Relena never deserved anything as horrible as this, especially not from a man as callous as Heero Yuy. He took out a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to Relena. "I am sorry, Miss Relena. If only I had known, I would have told you the truth." Relena took the embroidered napkin and wiped her eyes. "Thank you."
Relena looked down at the white tiled floor, tears still glimmering in the corner of her eyes. There was a long pause as Relena tried to recompose herself before she spoke up again. "How exactly did I end up here?" She said in a lightly surprised tone.
"You ran into us and when I caught up to you Relena, you were unconcious. So I brought you here to my home. " He said softly. "I couldn't just leave you there." Quatre could not bring himself to say that Relena had run straight in the midst of afternoon traffic, and had it not been for his quick reflexes and speed, she would have been killed by oncoming vehicles. Relena was touching her head, about to ask him another question, and he smiled. "You had a small cut on your forehead when I found you, so I bandaged it up."
