Roy sat in his chair, then turned to face the window, immediately eyeing the girl sitting on the bench. "..." That girl.. Is the same girl that stole Edward's heart.. The same girl Edward sees more than I do.. It will take all of hell before this girl takes Edward as hers. With that, he stood, walking over to the door, then down the hallway.
~~~~~
"Riza!" Edward happily shouted, silently slamming his hands against the table. Chocolate hues glowered at the young boy, telling him to keep his voice down. "This is a library.. No need to shout." She spoke, adjusting the bun she held her golden hair in. "Whatever.. I need some advice, could you help me out?" He folded his arms, trying to seem tough, even if asking a girl for some kind of advice wasn't in the definition of 'tough'. Riza looked over to Edward, seeing how, in his eyes, there was a shimmer of plead in them. Sighing in defeat, she faintly smiled. "Of course. What do you need help on?" Edward flashed a smile, then looked around, making sure no one heard what he was about to say. He leaned close to Riza, quietly whispering to her. "I need girl advice on... How I should ask a girl out." This caused the female to laugh in response.
"Oh shut UP!!"
~~~~~
"Why, hello there. Isn't it dangerous to be out all alone? Especially once the sun sets?" The male cooed, trying his best not to startle the other. Jumping a bit, eyes averted to the cause of the sudden intrusion. "Oh.. No sir.. I'm always safe in this park. I know.. Anyway.. I only read here.. That's my only reason for being here. Wait, I'm so sorry! I'm being rude.. Would you mind taking a seat beside me?" Soft hands patted the empty seat as she scooted down the bench. Roy had nodded as thanks, sitting down next to her. "Quite a lady.. at such a young age.." Roy mused, a bit curious about her behavior. "Ah, no.. Not really. I'm only nineteen. Wait. Gah! No! A lady should never reveal her age!! No! Mother is going to kill me.." A sigh escaping her lips, she looked down, her book now closed as it layed lifeless onto her lap.
"Woah.. No need to worry your little head.. What's so special about acting like a lady anyway?" Roy couldn't help but... think the girl seeming a bit cute. Although, he had to get the mind out as quick as he could. His heart was meant for Edward, not for some girl he just met. But he had to admit, he's done that in the past. ... A lot of times.
As she continued to look down, her hands clenched the book, seeming a bit aggrivated. "Ah! First.. Um.. It's always common curtesy for someone to at least reveal their name before engaging into a deep conversation. I'm--" "Lyla Mikhail.. No need to worry about anything else." Roy cut in, his curiosity on the girl growing. "Uhm.. How did you know my name..?"
"My son.. Is in the same class as you. His name is Edward Elric."
"... Oh.. I think.. I think I should be leaving.. I'm sorry." Standing now, she took a bow before pacing out of the park. What an odd girl.. Roy thought to himself, watching her walk off. He couldn't help but let his gaze just.. roam around her body. Nice...
~~~~~
"Just be kind to her. There's nothing to it. Don't rush anything or she might lose interest in you, fast. Treat her to stuff like the movies, dinner, snacks, other stuff similar to that. Don't--"
"Woah, woah, woah! I just want to learn how to ask a girl out and what I should do for a date. Not study for some damn exams!! Fuck.." Edward sighed, thinking this would take longer than expected. Riza snickered, then shot a glare at him, smacking the ruler onto the desk, hard enough to snap it in half. "You want to make the girl happy right? If so, pay close attention so you can win her heart!" After being a couple with Roy, she was always harsh when giving men advice about asking a woman out.
The snapping of the ruler stunned Edward, making him regret his decision. "Y-Yes, Ma'am."
"Good.. Now as I was say--"
"Edward!" Roy bashed through the doors of Riza's office, darting his gaze around to find his son. "Yeah?" Edward replied in a soft tone, trying not to anger Riza. "Edward.. You know that Lyla girl? I spoke with her earlier. It seemed when I spoke of your name.. She felt uneasy, then left without a word. Did you do something to her?"
Keep it in.. Don't let it show.. "What's it got to do with ya? How the fuck should I know why she does that when you say my name! Maybe it's because you're my dad. She could be afraid of you, that's all."
Roy shook his head, then walked out from the office, returning to his.
Edward had a chance to escape the clutches of the demanding Riza. He was glad. He was exhausted. He was--
"Edward?"
Well, yes, he was Edward, but he was mostly happy about... Wait, who was that?
Golden hues fixated themselves onto a figure of a young woman. "L-Lyla?! What are you doing inside HQ? How did you get in here anyway?" He started to become a bit protective, ripping off his coat and hiding it over the female, thinking she had snuck in.
A small giggle reassured Edward that it was alright. "I told them I was your classmate. They allowed me to stay for a few hours. I just came to say that.. Well.."
Edward quirked a brow, wondering if this had anything to do with the event of his father talking with her moments ago.
"Um well... Um.. Will you be my partner tomorrow? I'm so confused as to what organ has to be treated in that certain way and... Ah! My head hurts just thinking about it.." Lyla looked down, a bit embarrassed of her actions.
Edward couldn't help but laugh and then place a hand onto her shoulder. "Of course! Anything to help someone that's in all of my classes.. and that always give me the answers to Math homework." He snickered, receiving a hug from the female. He couldn't help but blush a bit, before returning the hug.
"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, Edward! With you as my partner.. I'm sure to learn stuff quicker! Seeing that you're the top student in our class..." She smiled, before walking off.
"Wait..." Edward began. "Wouldn't you like to stay for dinner? I'm sure my father wouldn't mind if you came over to our house... Uh, if that's alright with you! .. Of course..."
Lyla had a thoughtful expression before faintly smiling and nodded. "Sure.. I could use a break from my family.." This caused Edward to smile, leading the female over to Roy's office.
