chapter One-Two
Japanese Hideaway
By Kitsune Morgan & chantal Marchon
Chapter One
"Hey Kit your taxi is here." Kit's mom yelled up the stairs at him as he packed away the rest of his necessary things before dragging the two duffel bags down to the front door and slipping on his shoes.
He hugged his mom goodbye and got in the cab, speeding away to his new school.
Kitsune's father was Japanese, while his mother was British; he had spend most of his years in England attending a highly rated public school. He pondered all the recent changes in his life. Glad to get away from his old environment and the hurt that went with it but leery of what his future held in a new place.
His father Taro and his mother Beth, had been considering the move for a long time when they had received offers to teach at the prestigious Tokyo Univercity School of Medicine. They had put off deciding on the offer until that incident occured.
Kitsune's boyfriend had gotten brunk or high and in an angry fit beat and raped the younger boy. Forcing him into the degrading situation of being used by another that he had thought was his friend. He had to go to the emergency room to have his shoulder reset and his sprained wrist and ankle wrapped. It had taken weeks for the bruises to disappear. The boyfriend had tried to apologize a few times, but when Kit would do nothing but walk away from him, he had punched the other boy and tackled him threatening to choke him. Kit's parents filed charges for both assaults and Kit had to testify in court, reliveing every humiliating minute in front of a jury and judge. Embarrassed by his own sexuality and the brutality he had faced in a world that did not readily accept homosexuality. His ex-boyfriend got six years in prison as did his other abuser.
Kit's family decided it would be best to move far away. They accepted the offers to teach at the Univercity and after some consideration they enrolled Kitsune in his father's alma mater. A school that was well known for it's academic and fine arts programs. It was also a boarding school. Kitsune's psychologist felt that he needed to be exposed to a social environment that did not involve his parents and put him back into contact with his peers. He had become shy, skittish and untrusting after his ordeal and his psychologist was all for the tough-love scenario. Also known as, if you fall off the horse get back on.
The ride out to the school was quite long. Kitsune's mind drifted over the outburst from his sister the day he returned from the hospital. Her disgust and anger at his sexual preferance, her total lack of sympathy for his pain, her horrible attitude had in many ways been more of a betrayal than how his ex had treated him. His own sister, who was supposed to love and support him had turned her back on him and condemned him just because he was more attracted to guys than girls. He sighed holding back the tears, he thought they were closer than that. He supposed he was wrong and was glad that she had stayed in England at University.
The taxi drove him into a busy section of the city and pulled through a set of huge gates into what appeared to be a massive complex. The city had apparently been built up around the school. The campus was pretty with well manicured lawns, large old trees and stately buildings.
He pulled his bag out of the trunk of the taxi and climed the steps into the administration building. Trying not to let the feeling of panic overwhelm him at being in the grand hall. It reminded him to much of the courthouse back in London. The receptionist made a quick call on her phone and told him someone would be right down to help him get situated. The she looked through the new student files on her desk and handed him a folder. "This is your schedule and temporary room assignment. You will be assigned a permanent mentor sometime this week." She smiled at him absently before going back to her work.
Someone wearing a uniform with a name tag approached him. "Hi, my name is Kouga and I am here to welcome you to Mt. Holy Leaf School. If you would like I can show you to your temorary room and give you a tour of the campus."
"Sure, that would be fine." Kitsune answered feeling like a deer caught in the headlights. The other boy's hair was a little wild and caught up in a pony tail high on his head, he obviously spent a lot of time outdoors as his skin had a healthy tan. Nothing like Kitsune's own pale skin and straight shiny black hair that hung down his back to his waist.
Kouga's dark brown eyes met Kitsune's deep blue eyes in a warm smile. "I heard that you are from England? You have interesting features. I think it would be fun to try and draw you sometime."
"Oh, thank you." Kitsune blushed as they walked through the building and out a side door. "My mother is British, and has blond hair and blue eye while my father is Japanese. I suppose I just got lucky in the genetics lotto. Although I think my face is to small and girly looking. It runs in my father's family I guess." He shrugged.
"Yeah, but I bet you will have to beat off the girls with a stick." Kouga stated, noticing the slight look of disgust on Kitsune's face as he started to point at various buildings on their way across campus.
Kouga, observed his little rookis with the eyes of a hawk. He wanted to discover as much as possible about the new boy's personality before helping Heero with the room assignments. The Boys Dean had told him that this one would need some special considerations as he had been through some traumatic experiences recently and might have trouble adjusting to the school as well as living with other boys. While the Dean had not gone into details beyond that, Kouga and Heero both figured that this was worth looking into.
Chapter Two
As Kouga directed his new charge through the different buildings, he noticed the way Kitsune's eyes tended to follow the attractive boys as they waved hi or stopped to chat briefly. Kouga would courteously introduce them, but Kitsune could not remember any of the names that went with the faces that he met. Kouga also noticed that Kit did not pay attention to the atractive girls other than a friendly hello. No long curious glances, no shy blushes. His little newbie was easy to read.
Kit stopped at a drinking fountain for a moment and bent to get a drink when Kouga spotted Treize and Zechs headed towards the cafe. He waved hello at them as they called out to him. Kitsune was facing towards them with his head down to get water and had raised his eyes to see who was yelling at his guide. The water ran past his lips unheeded as he found himself staring at the two older boys in fasination. One walked with his hands folded behind his back conversing with his friend. Silver laying casually down the of one's Kendo uniform while the other wore khakies with a partially open dress shirt. It was their bearing that really caught his eye. The one with his hands behind his back walked with a regal bearing, carrying himself with such an air of confidence that he just radiated power. His dark, honey blond hair styled back made him look like a GQ model. The other appeared graceful and restrained, every step taken as if it were a performance. The hair framed a face that Kitsune was not close enough to see. But he did not doubt that it would be equally gorgeous. These beautiful creatures were so far out of his reach; he did not even feel worthy enough to whorship at their feet.
A cough and someone clearing his throat abruptly brought him back to reality and he realized, ashamed with himself that water was hitting the side of his face and starting to run into his collar. He pulled away quickly and grimaced. Looking down to hide his embarraced face. Kouga handed him a handkercheif and walked towards the temporary dorm that Kit was assigned to as Kitsune quickly wiped up his dripping face.
"Those two are probably the most famous couple on campus, Treize and Zechs. Zechs is the one with the silver hair. I think they have a fan club devoted to them, but I'm not sure about that. Treize is the captiam of the soccer team. I am the goalie so we know each other fairly well." Kouga watched as Kit continued to blush and study the carpet. 'This boy will be perfect for them. If anyone can bring him out of his shell, it would be those two.' He considered and grinned as he had solved his friend Heero's dilemma on who to assign with the two boys.
"This is your room, so stow your luggage and we can head to the cafe for lunch." Kouga advised briskly as he made plans for his conference with Heero. "You will receive your regular room assignment from you home room teacher in two days. That should give you some time to meet people and get used to the campus."
"Yes, thank you." The younger boy replied, his words barely above a whisper.
'Geesh, for a kid that is majoring in the fine arts with courses in drama and choral skills, he is freakishly quiet.' Kouga decided as he lad the boy back to the cafe.
Kitsune looked around the elaborate cafeteria. It had multiple food stations with all different offerings. The earth tone colors it was decorated in were inviting and soothing. The food even smelled wonderful. He nodded his head to acknowledge that Kouga had told him to eat up, as it was all paid for with the tuition and that he had business elsewhere.
A girl bumped into him as he was trying to decide what to eat first and promptly apologized. Shi giggled and took his hand shaking it energetically as she introduced herself. "You are new here aren't you?"
"Yes, I just moved to Japan from England. I went to a public school there, but this is so much nicer. There is no comparison really." He looked around again with a vaguely dazed smile. The girl was friendly and bubbly. It would be impossible not to like her, even if she seemed a bit to loud. He was happy to see a friendly face. Most of the students he had seen so far looked so serious all of the time.
Shi grabbed his hand and started to drag him towards a station where a cook was sauteing Mongolian Beef with vegetables to order. "This station always had something great." She exclaimed enthusiastically. "You must try this and over at the next station they have American style junk food like corn dogs or pizza or cheeseburgers, depending on what day it is. There is also a really good salad bar over there." Shi pointed out, "and over there is the dessert bar. The desserts here are really nice." Her short curls bounced as she hopped up and down in excitment. Shi ordered different foods for him and set them on a tray then guided him to a table where some of her friends waited.
"Hi, I'm Mandi and this is Becky." The other two girls introduced themselves. "Wow, I hope Shi didn't run you over. She tends to be very energetic." Mandi's smile came through in her brown eyes.
"Well, she should definitely be nominated for the greeting committee, I think." Becky added laughing.
The girls chatted away happily telling him about the different classes and teachers and he discovered that Shi was in his home room, which he was glad of since it meant that he would at least know someone.
Out of the corner of his eye he noticed a flash of silver and turned to look. Shi followed his gaze and saw Treize and Zechs discussing something with some friends on the opposite side of the large cafeteria. "Aren't they just too hot?" She drooled.
"Definitely." Kitsune agreed with her. 'Oh crap, did i just say that out loud?' He started to panic hoping she didn't notice and think he was pond scum now.
"Hmm I think that Kitsune has a crush." Shi teased lightly making him blush. "Which one do you like?" She asked.
Kit looked down at the table. "I guess you caught me. I think that they are both beautiful." He whispered looking back at the older boys wistfully. "But I sincerely doubt that they would ever notice my existence."
"Hey now don't sell yourself short. You're damned gorgeous yourself. We are just disappointed that you prefer guys." Becky admonished to him with a wink.
"So true." Sighed Mandi. "The best looking guys at the school always seem to be gay. Makes it hard for a girl to get a decent date around here."
The girls went over his schedule with him and showed him to the bookstore to pick up the necessary items he would need for class. They also showed him where the sports feilds and the gymnasium and workout rooms were located. Finally, after an exhausting and somewhat stressful day, Kitsune made his way back to his room and promptly fell alseep on his bed.
Alright everyone so there you have it. I've put up Three chapters in 2 days. Now I won't put up anymore this week because work is going to take up all my time. I also won't update till I have at least six reviews. Feed the author and the author writes.
