“Here we are Daichi, I got you a present,” Tyson held up a plastic bag for his smaller friend.
“I like presents!” Daichi grinned, jumping on the spot, “what is it?”
“I got you a rubber ring.” Tyson took it from the bag.
“What’ll that do...?” Daichi asked, puzzled at his gift.
“I’ll help you stay afloat in the water,” Max explained.
“Can Daichi not...?” Mariah began.
“Daichi can’t swim,” Ray shook his head.
“So I got him this to help him out.” Tyson waved the rubber ring before starting to inflate it.
“Is it an animal one?” Max asked, grabbing the plastic cover as Tyson kicked it at him. “You got him a duck?”
“It was either that or a sea horse,” Tyson shrugged.
“No turtles?” Max cried, “I’m shocked!”
“Want one yourself?” Ray teased.
“Why not?” Max grinned as Ray laughed.
“This should do it,” Tyson plugged the hole shut in the float, “What do you think?”
“What the hell is that?” Kai asked, approaching the group.
“So nice of you to finally join us Kai,” Tyson grinned at him, “I got Daichi a rubber ring to help him to swim.”
“Stop him from sinking,” Max smirked.
“Should let him go down like a brick,” Kai declared.
“So kind; as always Kai…really,” Tyson noted.
“Oh, but of course,” he agreed, a smirk lifting the corner of his lips.
“Where is Hilary?” Max looked around.
“Oh…who knows? She’s probably still getting ready.” Kai shrugged, not really caring; he didn’t see what she was so angry about from earlier anyway.
“While we wait, I’ll show monkey boy how to work his inflatable.” Tyson offered.
“How does it work?” Daichi asked, not entirely sure of the large yellow duck like ring.
“I’ll show you,” Tyson grinned, pushing the ring over his head and down his body.
“Tyson!!! What did you do that for?!?” Daichi growled, stomping his feet.
“It’s gonna help you float.” Tyson assured him, “Now get in the water and I’ll show you.”
“And I won’t sink?” Daichi asked again, letting Tyson lead him to the pool.
“I swear you won’t.” Tyson smiled, leading him in the water. “Now then,” Tyson gave him a push into the pool; Daichi yelping.
“Hey; I’m floating!” Daichi declared.
“See? It’s great!” Tyson grinned, Daichi nodded.
“This is great Tyson; thanks!” Daichi cheered.
“Just kick your legs and have fun!” Tyson urged him, “That’ll move you!”
“Hey; I’m moving!” Daichi declared loudly, the others laughing, “Look at me!”
“That’s it!” Mariah cried, “You’re doing great!”
“What’s he doing exactly?” Hilary cut in.
“Ah; Hil; you finally decided to…” Tyson turned to speak to her, “…Uh…ah…ha…” he pointed at her.
“What?” she put her hands on her hips.
“I think Tyson’s trying to say ‘nice swim suit’,” Max suggested as the others turned to greet her.
“That’s very nice of you Tyson, thanks,” Hilary smiled at him, placing her towel down on a nearby chair; not even making eye contact with Kai.
“Come here!” Mariah beckoned her over, “Nice bikini!”
“Thanks,” Hilary giggled as she sat next to her friend, Kai watching her every move.
“Damn…” Kai bit his cheek as he looked at her yellow bikini with a turquoise trim. It was as if she was trying to punish him. He knew she was.
“Why don’t we play a game of something?” Tyson finally mustered.
“Will that stay up?” Mariah teased; giving Hilary a gentle elbow.
“It should,” Hilary twirled a strand of hair around her finger, “But you should worry about yours too,” she reminded her.
“I tied it tight,” Mariah made a face at her, giggling, patting the knot at the back of her pink halter neck.
“So are we playing water volleyball?” Ray asked, keeping his eyes away from the site of his beloved in a tight bikini.
“Yeah!” Tyson grinned, “We can play in two teams of three!”
“What do you think Kai?” Max looked at him, “Uh….Kai?”
“Yeah, what?” Kai snapped; he had to keep his cover after all.
“Um, we were just asking if you wanted to play water volleyball...” Max gulped.
“Alright,” he shrugged.
“How are we sorting out the teams?” Ray asked.
“Boys against the girls!” Mariah cheered.
“Great idea!” Hilary nodded in agreement.
“Crap idea...” Kai muttered loud enough for the boys to hear it; the boys trying their hardest not to laugh out loud.
“Wait, there’s four of us and two of you...” Tyson pointed out.
“So? We’ll just choose one of you to be on our team.” Mariah explained.
“Okay, choose then.”
The girls looked at each other; and without a word exchanged, nodding and crying out in unison,
“Max!”
“Me? Really?” He grinned.
“What?!” Tyson raged, “No way!”
“Yes way!” Mariah nodded, “We’ve chosen!”
“It’s not even my birthday…!” Max cheered.
“Well; you picked the worst guy to be on your team; you guys are gonna get creamed!” Tyson declared; folding his arms.
“Yeah; no mercy!” Ray nodded.
“You’re so cruel! That’s why we picked Maxie; he’s the sweetest!” Hilary threw her arms around him; watching Kai visibly tense up in annoyance.
“Aw ladies, I appreciate you picked me over them,” Max put his arms round the two of them.
“You’re the best though Maxie,” Hilary cooed at him.
“And you can help us beat them,” Mariah scowled at the remaining boys.
“Yeah; they think they’re so great, but we’re on to you!!”
“Well, one does not like to toot their own horn...” Ray sighed, scratching his hair.
“Max is a good swimmer, but then again so am I,” Tyson shrugged.
“Maxie will help us gain victory over you!” Mariah declared.
“Yup, just me and my angels!” Max nodded.
“That’s right!” Mariah and Hilary nodded, giggling.
“Oh jeez…” Tyson sighed, “I hate him right now.”
“Me too,” Ray agreed wistfully.
“I third that,” Kai thought; his eyes still fixed on that fitting yellow bikini and the girl in it.
“Let’s get this started!” Hilary leant down to pick up the ball the boys had been playing with earlier; discarded near their things.
“Yeah; we wanna beat you nice and quick,” Mariah mused.
“Ha! Not a chance!” Ray smirked.
“Oh yeah? Care to bet on that?!” Mariah demanded.
“Sure,” Kai grinned, “What do you…losers…propose?”
“Losers; huh?” Hilary glared at him, “Losers pay for dinner!”
“Fine,” Tyson extended his hand, Hilary shaking it, “Looks like we’ll be having lobster tonight boys!”
“Great!” Ray licked his lips.
“When we win; we’ll make sure whatever it is costs a fortune!” Hilary declared.
“I just want pizza…” Max admitted.
“Then get lots of toppings!” Mariah urged, “Nice; expensive ones!”
“Well…okay; that’s fine by me!” Max nodded.
“Good,” the girls giggled, climbing into the pool with Max; Daichi floating around them.
“Dudes,” Tyson began, “We are going to cream them.”
“Yup,” Ray agreed, cracking his knuckles.
“Piece of cake,” Kai agreed, climbing in.
“After all; how can they possibly win?” Ray laughed, jumping in the pool after his friends.
***
“This is it; our last service. If we can score two more points then we beat them,” Max explained to Hilary and Mariah.
“But they won’t make that easy for us,” Hilary sighed, scowling at Ray, Tyson and Kai over her shoulder. She would love nothing more to wipe the smirks off their faces; Kai’s most of all.
“Then we’ll have to do something that’ll make them mess up...” Max scratched his head.
“I know how to do that!” Mariah beamed.
“You do?” Hilary asked her.
“Oh yes,” Mariah grinned, “You two just play and leave the rest to me!”
“Okay…?” Max said hesitantly, exchanging a glance with Hilary.
“Trust me; I know what to do!” Mariah urged.
“Alright,” Hilary spoke up, “Do…whatever it you have planned!”
“This’ll be easy!” Mariah laughed, “I’m making sure I get a big dessert tonight!” she declared.
“Are you ladies quite done swapping make up tips?” Kai demanded.
“We would have asked you if we wanted any Kai,” Hilary said sharply, making everyone burst out laughing.
“She got you there,” Tyson looked at Kai.
“Then I’d suggest a paper bag to you,” he retorted; watching her face turn bright red as the boys tried to hide their sniggers.
“Max; hurry up and serve!” Hilary ordered, “I can’t wait to see their stupid faces when they realise we’ve wasted them.”
“Only disappointed face you’ll see is your reflection,” Tyson rubbed his hands together, “Come on Maxie; give it your best shot!”
“Alright! Take this!” Max threw the ball up then served, the ball hurtling towards Ray.
“I’ve got it!” Ray readied himself to return it.
“Oh Ray...” Mariah purred, catching Ray’s attention; his gaze shifting towards her.
His eyes landed on her; she was bent forward; her arms squishing her breasts together in the small bikini, water trickling down them.
Ray’s face went red as he missed the ball completely; not even moving to swipe at it.
“Our point!” Max and Hilary cheered.
“What the Hell was that?!” Tyson roared at Ray; Daichi paddling past them.
“What…?” Ray asked absently.
“Ray!” Tyson dove at him, pushing him under the water.
“H…hey!” Ray spluttered as he resurfaced for air.
“Focus man!” Kai ordered, “If we lose because of you…” he warned.
“You won’t!” Ray assured him.
“If we do I’m kicking your ass,” Kai promised.
“I’ll kill you as well.” Tyson took a swipe at him, Ray ducking. “Now if it goes near you this time, hit it!”
“I will...” Ray gulped, wiping his forward.
“Let’s get them this time,” Max encouraged the girls.
“Yeah,” Hilary grinned, “They will not beat us.”
“Leave Ray to me,” Mariah whispered.
“No problem at all,” Max sniggered, taking the ball off Daichi as he gave it to him.
“If you do something like that again, we’ll be fine,” Hilary winked at her friend, giggling.
“Serve already!” Tyson bellowed, “I can taste that lobster already!”
“The only thing you’ll taste Tyson is defeat!” Max served the ball.
“Not on my watch!” Kai whacked the ball back.
The match played on, neither team missing their shots; all the while, Mariah was hatching her dastardly plan.
“Ray...” Mariah said loud enough for only Ray to hear; Ray trying his hardest to ignore her, feeling his cheeks heat up, “Ray...” She giggled, untying her bikini, letting the straps fall from her neck, holding the bikini to her breasts and bending forward.
“Don’t you dare Ray…”
“Oh; whoops!” Mariah cried, Ray unable to stop himself before looking at her, his eyes training down at her loose straps.
“Uh…” Ray flushed red; his mouth wide open as Hilary hit the ball back towards him.
“Kon! The ball!” Kai yelled.
“Ah…uh…” Ray stammered; Mariah giving a cute sigh as the ball sailed past him and landed in the water.
“Yay!!” Hilary cheered, paddling over to Max and hugging him, “We win!”
“RAY!!!” Tyson roared at Ray; Kai slapping his hand to his head, covering his eyes as he shook his head.
“Idiot...!”
“Thanks Ray,” Mariah giggled at him, “Maybe if you’re good later, you can touch them.” She winked, standing up straight.
“Ray!!” Tyson ran up to him, tackling him into the water, “I’m going to murder you!!!”
“Tyson!!” Ray whined.
“How could you let us lose?!?!?!”
“Nice work Mariah,” Hilary hugged her from behind.
“Thanks; there was no way he could resist that!” Mariah laughed; Hilary helping her tie her bikini.
“Dinner is on you guys then; huh?” Max grinned.
“Knew we’d win!” Hilary declared.
“By underhanded tricks; yeah…” Tyson muttered as he forced Ray underwater again.
“Let him up!” Mariah demanded.
“In a minute,” Tyson said, holding one hand up, “Once I feel a bit better.”
“Can I have a shot next?” Kai walked over to Tyson, “That looks like fun. Might make me feel better.”
“Leave Ray alone,” Mariah put her hands on her hips. “And let him breathe.”
“Fine!” Tyson sighed, pulling Ray’s head up; letting him get a few breathes in before shoving him back under.
“HEY!”
“You said let him breathe,” Tyson laughed, “And I feel better now,” He sighed, “Have a go Kai.”
“Don’t mind if I do,” Kai grinned, rubbing his hands together before holding Ray underwater.
“Have to decide what to get for dinner...” Hilary pondered.
“I want pizza,” Max said again, helping her out the pool.
“Can I get a victory dinner too?” Daichi asked hopefully.
“Sure,” Hilary smiled, “After all, you did help us.”
“Yeah! Dinner on Tyson!” Daichi cheered.
“Hey now wait a minute!” Tyson whined, “I didn’t...”
“Please?” Daichi asked, “I’ll be good!”
“You have been good already.” Tyson sighed, patting his little friend’s hair, “Okay, you can have some for using your rubber ring so well.”
“Really?! Yeha!” Daichi cheered, throwing his arms up, nearing slipping through his rubber ring.
“Does pizza sound better than lobster Tyson?” Max teased.
“Food is food, I don’t mind what I eat as long as it tastes good,” Tyson shrugged, grinning as Max broke out into a laugh.
“Let Ray up now before I get really mad Kai!” Mariah warned Kai. “He needs air just like the rest of us!”
“There’s no point really; you’re just going to smoother him with your tits anyway.” Kai pointed out to her.
“Maybe I am, but it’s the kind of smothering he enjoys,” she grinned, Kai smirking.
“Alright, but you better kill him later for making us lose.” Kai let Ray up, Ray panting for breath.
“Bad boy,” Kai smacked the back of Ray’s hair as he left the couple; Mariah throwing her arms round him and hugging his head to her chest; just like she promised.
“I’m glad you’re okay Ray.”
“I would be even better if you hadn’t made me lose my focus and lose the game.” Ray wrapped an arm round her sighing.
“You wouldn’t have lost if you could control yourself. Besides, I know how much you like breasts.” Mariah reminded him.
“How much I like your breasts.” He corrected her. “Doesn’t mean you can use them against me.”
“Aw, why?” She whined, the two laughing together.
“Such a dastardly way to defeat us, wasn’t it Kai?” Tyson asked his blue haired friend as he approached the group.
“Yeah. But let’s put it this way; if Hilary had flashed us, it wouldn’t have had such a huge effect like Mariah’s did.”
“What?!” Hilary gasped, growling, “How dare you...!”
“I’m just saying!” Kai shrugged, grinning.
“You wouldn’t know a good pair of breasts Kai if they came and flashed in your face!” She huffed, folding her arms over her chest.
“Pity I haven’t yet,” he shrugged, knowing that her blood would be boiling at that comment.
“That’s a test I wouldn’t mind having,” Tyson nudged Max, the two of them giggling together.
“You’re a pig Kai!” Hilary fumed.
“Well it was you that said about boobs in my face; was it not?” He smirked at her.
“Why you...” She growled.
“Hey Hilary!” Mariah emerged from the pool by herself, seeing her friend getting steadily more angry, “How about we go for a victory bathe in the sun?”
“What a good idea Mariah,” Hilary linked arms with Mariah; scowling at Kai again before they left the boys.
“You are a bad loser Kai,” Tyson sniggered.
“I hate losing,” Kai shrugged.
“Well, here’s the reason we lost,” Tyson looked back into the pool, seeing Ray leaving the water.
“What?” Ray asked when he saw his friends staring him down.
“What do you have to say for yourself? Making us lose like that?” Tyson frowned at Ray.
Ray paused for a minute, thinking of his reply, before breaking out into a grin.
“Worth it!”

“Worth it!”
